The Girl and the Gargoyle (The Girl and the Raven Book 2) by Pauline Gruber – Review by Vanessa Watts

The Girl and the Gargoyle (The Girl and the Raven, #2)The Girl and the Gargoyle by Pauline Gruber
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This second book in this series leaves off with the first as Lucy comes to terms with her father and maybe he’s not all that evil for a demon that is. But what about her other half, the witch side of her bloodline, it hasn’t had it’s awakening yet and what will happen when it does.
In this book we’re introduced to some new characters and new dimensions of the characters from the first book. First off, we finally get to meet Marcus’ parent when they come back into town, but their ulterior motives arise when they meet Lucy for the first time. As Marcus’ father lets the news slip about coming to town to kill Jude Lucy is faced with her own mortality. Now Marcus must put his hatred for Jude and Dylan aside in order to protect Lucy again except this enemy is his own blood. Add in some surprise characters that may tip the scales, but which side will come out on top? The next step in every great relationship is meeting the parents but did Lucy and Marcus bite off more than they could chew? This book should be on everyone’s must read list right after the first book in this series, they are that good!
