Born in Darkness (Mafia Elite #3)Born in Darkness by Amy McKinley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I continue to be blown away by the creative genius that goes into a story such as this. To have a vast and endless imagination is quite unfathomable. To assemble a cast of dangerous, mysterious, multi faceted characters is no easy feat. The stories just keep getting better, with each one bringing something new and exciting with each instalment. Every character invokes different impressions and feelings. Nothing is predictable. Everything is changing constantly. Stefano and Emiliana’s journey was fraught with danger, tension, uncertainty. One thing that was apparent from the beginning was their deep feelings for one another. With everything seemingly against them, they must fight with everything that they had to make it. Both possessed incredible inner strength, and together they formed something impenetrable. Secrets were needed to keep them safe and scheming to keep the enemy at bay, The love connection that existed between Stefano and Emiliana was moving and mesmirising. Packed with so much edge of the seat activity, this story is breath stealing perfection. I could not have hoped for more. 5 stars.
