Claire comes from a long line of medicine women and while the power is hers she is very resistant to it. However due to the archbishop and his evil doings she will have to embrace everything she is in order to fight back. This dramatic, dark, twisted book of horror will not only keep you on he edge of your seat but will make you want to put the book in the freezer and hide in your closet. The characters are well developed and the story line has many twists you won’t see coming along. There were a few plot holes and the end was way to abrupt. All in all I would recommend this book.

While the blurb on the back cover of this book intrigued me, I can’t say that it was everything I expected it to be. While there was a lot of drama, suspense, religion, and some supernatural elements there were times that I felt that they didn’t really pull together in a concise thought. However, the plot and the characters were still amazing and kept me interested until the end. I found myself relating a lot to the lead character and her journey of trying to find herself. Which really helped pull the book together for me. While Claire is on a journey to find herself, as well as her mother’s killer she will uncover a lot more then she bargained for. But will she be able to handle it? You’ll have to read this novel to find out for yourself.

Black Canvas is a fast paced Dark Psychological Thriller that wasn’t anything at all what I expected it to be. I was drawn in by the cover and I just had to know more. Holy Cow what a thrilling ride this author took us on. I caught myself literally gripping my kindle while on the edge of my seat trying to figure everything out. This is a fairly new author to me and we are off to a great start ,I can’t wait to read more books by this author. This is a well written story and the characters make the story feel so real and engaging at the same time. I had a hard time putting it down . If you like psychological thrillers that keep you guessing till the end then I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait for what she brings us next.

Obviously one starts a book with the hopes of it being a good read. Entertaining. A story to escape into, ya know? But then there are books like these that meet those expectations and then go above and beyond what you had hoped for. It’s been a while since I’ve picked up a YA book, and not often I stray from my comfort bubble of romance. But this book? Phenomenal. The adventure I just went on, the emotions and laughs. These characters were written brilliantly. Kella was relatable and a character I wish I could know for real! 10/10 recommend this book.

This author writes a beautiful story! The main character, Lexi, is so relatable! She’s living her every day life, and refuses to compromise her morals. That’s so hard to do, and the way she interacts with the other characters is so realistic. I love curling up to a crime thriller book with my blanket and digging in. This book was a true page turner for me and I loved it! Our main character, Grace, has her struggles being a lawyer now on probation and defending a young girl whom is charge with a horrible crime of murder. I loved Grace’s character as she had empathy toward Zoe, whom she was defending but also struggled with demons of her own. This story really captures you from the beginning with twisty turns and I was pleasantly surprised and so happy I read this book!

The book’s main lesson is one of self esteem, as everyone has greatness within them no matter if they have any special talents or not. The book also teaches about giving greatness to others by doing things for them, such as giving kindness and love to others Priscida was born an alley cat but found a home where she is loved so it also teaches that you can find a home and hope if you don’t have one. A wonderful tale with some wonderful lessons!

This is a thriller that does not disappoint. The author kept the creepy feel that had me a little unnerved to finish. I love the lore and plot behind this it is very believable. This focused on religion and family. Finding your true self through a deep family secret. Keeps you hooked and right in the middle ohhhhh it is good. This is my second read by this author and I sense a pattern within the plot. I’ll give it four stars, I would recommend this to urban thriller lovers.

These topics were very gently and kindly done to show that these situations happen, even if it’s hard to talk about. It paints a picture of grief, anger, and hope for change while being just suspenseful enough to not be thrown across the room.
I hope to see more about Lexi and Xavier and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!

This is not my first book by Knapp and it will not be my last. If you like stories with sweet hometown characters, stories with simple yet heart felt problems, then you need to read the Parker Lake Series. Unlikely to Stay is book 3 in the series and it is the story of CC and Brant. CC is the hometown Beauty Salon owner while Brant is the newest most eligible bachelor in town. However, Brant is only in town to serve a 3-year internship. This is another cute sweet story that will make Ashliee Knapp a certifiable one-click author! If you have not read any of her books you could very easily pick this one to start with. There is some back story told about CC’s friends which are books 1 and 2 in this series but each book is about a new couple. The other stories are a must read as well. I don’t think there is any one thing that I love about this book, it is just an over all good story. I can definitely recommend this story to readers young and old alike.
This is the third book in the series, but it’s actually the first one I’ve read. I was able to follow the story fine and still enjoy it without knowledge from the previous books. However, I enjoyed this book so much I’ll be going back to read the others! It’s a fun, Nancy Drew-esque mystery, but it’s complex enough to keep you hooked and on your toes. I was wrong about some of the things I thought I had figured out, which makes it the definition of a good mystery!

This is my first read by this author and generally not my taste in genre of historical fiction but this book drew me in. I was surprised at how much this book stole my interest in the story. I did not want to stop reading it. With a setting in Poland there was a decent amount of language foreign to me, but over the course of the book I feel like it got easier to read. The characters were unique and well written. I could not help but feel connected to them. The world itself was crafted well allowing me to feel like I was right there with the characters watching from the sideline. The adventure, romance, and history in the story keep you hooked. I cannot wait to continue the story with the characters I have grown attached to in the second book in the series. I highly recommend this book to anyone that enjoys a page turning story.

Talk about plot twist! Aria is a very interesting character with an interesting story. I really connected with the psychological aspects of this book, the human mind is a mysterious thing. I feel that the author was able to expose just how twisted and unpredictable our minds can work. Ivy was my favorite character, someone who knew what she wanted and was willing to do what it took to get it regardless of what others thought of her. Great story! Highly recommend!!

The Traveler has spent many years trying to make contact with someone who will give him the time of day, he has observed Tristan and thinks that he might be the one to finally talk to him, but what he didn’t expect was that Tristan has arachnophobia, so The Traveler has to step in and hope that it doesn’t cause a problem with his plan.
When Tristan wakes up and realises that the spider is real, he doesn’t want to accept that, or the fact that it can communicate with him and he thinks that it is a set up, however, as more time passes and The Traveler begins to tell his tale, Tristan becomes more and more sure that this is someone, or something that he wants to know more about and The Traveler is more than happy to tell his story to Tristan.
As the two spend more time together, Tristan starts to realise that maybe his self-imposed isolation isn’t all it’s cracked up to be and has to do some soul searching while he isn’t talking to The Traveler, while The Traveler is hoping that the more he opens up to Tristan, the more hope he has of fulfilling his mission and this be his final learning experience, can he truly feel and encompass all the feelings he has inside him from learned experience and will Tristan be able to overcome the barriers he has placed around himself and allow the true identity of The Traveler to reveal itself? This is an uplifting sci-fi tale of experiences and learning curves, told from the viewpoint of someone not of this world while helping another to work through their experiences and emotions to become a better person, as you follow on this voyage across time.
This book was fast, fun and kept me on the edge of my seat. It’s another that pulled me in from the beginning. The plot had enough action and intrigue to keep the reader wanting to stay to see what happens next. Our two main characters were feisty enough and had such chemistry that I couldn’t help snickering at some of the interactions. Man, they have some challenges to get through. You’ll have to check out the book to see if they made it through. This is really a terrific book. I can recommend the whole series. Come on, you know you want a new series to try. Take a chance. I recommend it!

This book is a friends-to-lovers story. I really connected with Sophia and Enzo. Sophia is full of life, but also very strong and determined. Enzo, who has been in love with Sophia for years will do anything to protect her even if it means risking his own life. The storyline had me hooked from the beginning, and I can’t wait to read the next book.
I have really fallen in love with this Parker Lake series. I have followed along and read from the beginning and recommend that you do as well for the fullest enjoyment of the books. These books really build on each other and the characters and the town all work with each other to create a space you literally feel as if you jump into each time you open your kindle to read. I love the world building and have loved every moment I have spent in Parker Lake. This book had many laugh out loud moments and they are balanced with sweet melt your heart love moments as well. I cannot wait to see what might come next! I for sure will be here!

Very fast paced book, and while I have read the previous books in this series I dont feel its completely needed to read them to read this book but it may help to understand who our characters are a little bit. We follow our main leading young lady who gets asked to help with a mystery of a friend and her boyfriend who are missing. I was able to keep up but felt some things could have been explained a bit more but otherwise a good book. And did not see that ending coming, at all!

I don’t have a lot of experience with audiobooks, but I thought I would give my favorite genre a try in an audiobook. It did not disappoint. I loved that the narrator used different voices for the characters. That made it easier for me to follow and understand which character was speaking and when. This was an excellent first choice for me. Overall I thought it was very well done, and held my attention throughout.

I got to read this to my kids. They loved it. This was an excellent story. I loved that it was an easy way to teach/tell my kids about small acts of kindness. I believe that small acts of kindness go a long way in people’s lives. I felt like this was a good way to reinforce that with my kids. They loved the illustrations too! It really helped that my kids love cats! Super sweet story, good for everyone to read.
Okay, this book was amazing. I have never read a book in this genre before and gave it a chance because I’m trying to expand what I read. I would recommend this book to anybody and everybody. I didn’t expect the ending that I did. You can’t guess the ending in this book, and I think that is part of the reason why I loved this book because I’m not a fan of books where you can guess the ending. I couldn’t put it down at all.
