This book was awesome! Really well done! I enjoy reading about the dark side of religion, I find it fascinating. I got everything I wanted out of this book! Relatable characters, enthralling story, complete anxiety, and shock factor. I couldn’t finish this book fast enough. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for something gripping that will keep you up all night!

I absolutely love love love a good Historical Romance, especially a holiday one. This is my first book by this author so when I read the synopsis it definitely caught my eye. I got the book and started reading it right away. The characters Cora Lee and Jace Coleman, the story of Cora being for his brother only to fall for each other. It is truly such a good book. I will be keeping an eye out for more books.

I am sad to see this series end. I’m excited to see what’s next for this author.
This the 6th book in the story is the oldest of the King brothers. Lazarus’s one goal in life is to protect his family. From his own father! I could not believe this man, the one to take care of his wife and children. Instead he made them pay for being in his selfish way. This story got me so twisted. There was the father, the brothers and their families. All trying to find their part in this story. Lazarus must put an end to his family’s nightmare. Meanwhile his heart is beginning to open, while not the best time to. Lazarus might have found his soulmate, but can he protect one more person in his life? This was a fantastic series. Each one is better than the one before. There were so many suspenseful roller coaster rides. I was thrown into the depths of so many emotions. I recommend you read this series in order, even though they can be read as a standalone? I feel it’s a must to get familiar with the whole family. As the end pulls the series to a close. No spoilers will be found. Read the Series, you will be glad you did.

A thrilling yet romantic five-star read. It’s a fast-paced story, with an engaging storyline, the characters will make you care about them, they suck you into the story. There is crime, but also chemistry, you will get pulled into Xavier and Lexi’s story, guessing the clues and following the leads. Lexi does get a little heavy at times, but as you get to know her you see the real her. This is a great story and an author I am excited to hear more from.

King of Pain is the fifth book in the Interstellar Rescue Series by Donna S. Frelick. This is a fantastic sci-fi romance- a bit of an enemies to lovers’ story with plenty of action, adventure, danger, corruption, rivalry, race wars, political manoeuvring, hidden agendas, sinister forces, drama, intrigue, spaceships, fight scenes, alien shifters, enhanced abilities, emotion, chemistry, and brilliant world building. I have said this a few times now, am so addicted to this series, and Ms. Frelick’s writing- I eagerly await each new release to get my ‘fix’.
I can always count on this talented author to deliver a riveting story, and this book definitely didn’t disappoint on any level. But, as expected, Ms. Frelick crafted some tense scenes that had me on the edge of my seat devouring the pages to discover how things would play out. Her clever mind was always several steps ahead, crafting plenty of dramatic twists and unexpected developments that kept me guessing and glued to the pages.
The story is told from multiple points of view, which made the story even more intriguing, and I loved that I not only got to meet some very interesting new characters, but also got to spend time with some characters we have met (and loved) in previous instalments.
Can’t get enough of this series! A must read! Just brilliant! Highly recommended!

I am not usually one for historical books but this book has completely changed my mind. Cora Lee has traveled from Cincinnati to be a mail order bride to a man named Jude, who unfortunately has no clue as his father Grant was the one who orchestrated all the letters to Cora Lee. Come to find out Jude has a twin named Jace who is a train conductor that was working the train that Cora Lee was on when they where hijacked. Cora Lee coming to Holiday was truly meant to be in so many more ways than just a mail order bride. I can’t wait to see what could possibly happen next.

A thrilling five-star read. This is number three in the Mafia Elite series and they each compliment and build the story, this author always writes a compelling story, and the details are sublime, the flow is great and honestly it just compounds into a fantastic story. Stefano he is such a great character, waiting his time and doing what he must, until he just cant do it any longer. Emiliana is great, but she did wear a little at times, but she did get me in the end. This is a great story and I will certainly be looking out for them in the future.

No Names to Be Given is written concerning a subject I feel is important and definitely touched on very little. To this day there are still struggles and, although nowhere near what there used to be, stigma surrounding “unwed” women or women considered to be “to young” to get pregnant. To keep a child or not to keep a child is a deeply personal decision and every choice should be tailored specifically to the individual who is doing the deciding. This book follows three young women who made the only choice they felt was available to them. “Will you ever forgive us ? Will we ever forgive ourselves ?” I feel sets the tone for this story and is one of the main things these women asks themselves, almost daily. No Names to Be Given was deeply personal to the author and it showed in her writing and the care she showed the girls despite the adversities they were struggling with. I enjoyed the story and came to care about Becca, Sandy, and Faith. I absolutely loved when Faith’s mother finally came to her aid in the end after kind of snubbing the situation to that point. This was not an edge of your seat thrill ride to the end but it was a story that plucked at your heart, taught you, and made you feel. I think, especially being the authors debut work, that she is well on her way to greatness.

I love paranormal romances and it has been a long time since I read one. This captured my attention from beginning to end and I just love the cover.

I have not read the other novels in the series, but I did not feel confused or as if I was missing any important plot points.

Trentino meets Angel and on their second encounter, she gets shot. To save her, he turns her into a vampire. The relationship and chemistry between the two was one of the highlights of the novels. I loved learning more about this world and the other characters.

It was amazing to see how well Angel adapted and the secrets Master Trentino and Angel uncovered.

I read online that novels do not have to be read in order so I am looking forward to reading from the beginning and the rest of the novels that will be released.

This is the 3rd book in this amazing paranormal vampire series. The author was new to me until I started reading this series but I will definitely be reading more of her work, especially future books in this series. You could technically read each book in this series as a standalone but as there is a continuing story that runs alongside the romance element in each book, it makes sense to read the series in order.
We had been introduced to Master Trentino in the previous books but this time we get his story. So what happens when he discovers the sister of his enemies covered in blood and close to death? This is Trentino and Angel’s story and I can honestly say that I really loved reading it.
I was gripped to this story from the very beginning and the author does a great job of keeping the story fast flowing with twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The author does a great job of developing characters that you become invested in and I love that we get to see the characters from the previous books still making a large impact on the story.
I’m really enjoying this series so far and really hope that the author does continue and gives us the story of all 12 Masters of the Consulate.

This book is the first book of the series. It is a historical romance.

Historical romance is not my go to trope but I’m glad I grabbed this one. I’m not sure what I expected but I’m sure it wasn’t enough. This was an enjoyable read. Mail order brides and train engineers were new for me but boy did it work!

These characters were great! Cora is on her own but she doesn’t back down. She’s so strong. Jace is a hard working family man. He’s loyal but he couldn’t help but falling for his brother’s intended bride. He tried fighting his attraction to Cora for the sake of his brother.

Like Priscidas big things like being rescued by a loving family, to smaller things like the treats given to her by Grannie. Being great is about the love and kindness we show, and feeling great is being loved in return. I think we’ll read this one again!

I was looking forward to the chance to read this book. I noticed from looking into her a little more that she is a best selling author, loves to write these types of fun characters and the romance writing was bringing high expectations! Well this book did not disappoint. I always love a great period piece when it comes to great writing. Everything about this book was enjoyable. The author made sure that we could visualize every scene, down to the wardrobes, dialect, and scenery. I must admit getting into the Christmas season this year has been a rollercoaster experience, but reading this book gave me all the holiday hope that I need! I am looking forward to finishing this series!

After reading Tally and the Angel – India, I fell in love with Tally and her angel. This book did not fail either. Tally and her wonderful angel are off on another homeschool adventure full of danger and excitement, this time in Canada. The story is fresh and full of lore from days long ago. Tally makes new friends on her adventure. Her angel seems to know more about what’s going on but seems afraid to spill the beans. Tally might be up against more than she can handle but can she do it with the help of friends and her angel? You guys should read this story. Though for the younger set, this story is great for the older adults too. It’s really adventurous and heartwarming, a fun family story. Well-written and great characters, it’s one you can’t afford to pass up.

I always find myself with a serious case of the heebie-jeebies after finishing one of this author’s books. This one did not fail to deliver. Claire finds herself struggling to keep the boundary between naturopathic practitioner and medicine woman. She has tried to overcome a challenging childhood with some rough memories. Well, if you are a fan of this author, you’ll know that these supernatural horrors take place in Aztlan. That’s one creepy place that has some issues. In this story, it’s the battle of good and evil. The story is well done. I couldn’t put it down once I started. It grabbed me from page 1 and her childhood memories all the way to the end. The action is phenomenal. The characters are totally relatable. You can almost see a little of yourself in them. I find it interesting to see stories that put the tale of good and evil into such a thrilling horror story. This is really good, must have reading. I recommend you get it. I would absolutely give it more than 5 stars if I could.

I enjoyed this young adult/child’s story. This is the second book in this series which is just as great if not better than the first one. If you haven’t read book one I highly suggest doing that as you will enjoy it as well. This is a well written story that has great creative, unique characters that are magical. A story where they find themselves in a race against time and bigger challenges that they never imagined. This is an engaging story that kept me reading to the end. The characters bring the story to life on each page. This is a great story for any age child, they would enjoy it. I highly recommend this book.

Cora Lee, Jude and Jace. What a fiasco let me tell you. When you pick up this book you will not want to put it down at all. There are plenty of things will catch your eye like train robbers, the beauty of the wild west and the unsuspecting bride whose mate didn’t show up to claim her. What a conundrum. My grandad was the guy who threw people off of trains on the top when they hitched rides in the 1940s so I’ve loved trains since I was little this book makes me remember him. I will be reading the rest in the authors series.

You won’t regret it. I read it on kindle originally but will be purchasing it now for my collection. Thank you!

This is the first book I have read from this author and she now has a new fan. I’m new to historical romance but this author has me hooked. This is the first book to the holiday express series and it is a perfect start to an addictive series. I couldn’t put this book down until the end. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Cora Lee Schuster lost her parents and now she has no one. She is chosen to become a mail order bride and she decides to travel to a small town. Cora Lee loves the town of Holiday and she is met by her future father in law. She is so excited to meet Jude her soon to be husband. Cora Lee wants the lasting love like her parents had. She starts to notice that Jude is not interested in her but she starts a bond with his brother Jace but he is not ready to settle down yet. Will Cora Lee find her match or will she end all alone?

Holiday Hope is such an uplifting story full of wonderful characters. The story starts out with Cora Lee and Anne traveling out west as mail order brides. They develop an amazing friendship during their travel along the train line into Holiday, a small mining town that has started to expand.

As soon as they get off the train we meet amazing lovable characters. This was a story where I didn’t want to put it down. I was so excited to continue reading and being able to be apart of their stories. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Holiday Express series.

In this series finale, the author is able to wrap up all loose ends and bring all the characters together. I enjoyed this series from beginning to end!

Lazarus King is the eldest of the bastard sons. Lazarus’ plan to find and end his father led him to find all 5 of the other brothers. Now as the danger is finally closing in with his father on the run, Lazarus has pushed everyone away, determined to finish their father on his own. The only person that stands in the way of that is Sasha Landry.

Sasha Landry came back to Chicago to rest. Sasha didn’t expect that coming back to the closest place she can call home would put her in the crosshairs of danger. Sasha has been off using her medical skills in some remote part of the world. She is back and decides to stay with a colleague from her time overseas. The last thing she expected was that her colleague turned out to be the mother of the one man Sasha can’t see to get out of her mind.

Together, Sasha and Lazarus must figure out the latest plan of his father while keeping the brother and their loved ones safe. Will Sasha’s resilience keep her safe? Can Lazarus let go enough to allow his brothers to help bring down the man that sired them?

The author does not disappoint in suspense or twists! There are lots of both to be had. Be prepared to sit on the edge of your seat until the end. The only bad thing about this book is that it is the end of the series and my time with these characters. I will always be a Dark Sparrow in my heart!

This isn’t the first book I’ve read by the author. It won’t be my last either. I’ve loved every book in the Masters of the Consulate Series so far. Master Trentino is an amazing book and I certainly hope this series never ends.

Trentino is out to question Lazareth, but doesn’t make it in time. When he meets Angel he tells her that they’d meet again, he didn’t quite know what he was getting himself into. The quote I chose for Trentino is: “Unfortunately, but I’ll be back in a few hours. Can you make dinner arrangements for tomorrow? I’d like a table reserved for three at the Pleasure Palace, around eight p.m. I’m meeting with colleagues, and it can get pretty busy on a Friday night.”

Angel is caught by the mysterious Trentino and for some reason can’t help but fall for him. She is turned by him and really can’t seem to keep herself from him. She goes to her best friend when her store is broken into. The quote I chose for Angel is: “Absolutely not. Best friend or not, don’t make me regret telling you, Kelsey. If Roman finds out, I’m going to know exactly who ratted me out. The three of them are absolutely smothering me right now, and if they get wind of this? No, just no. I’ll get some security measures put in place and that’ll be the end of it. I’m twenty-three years old, I can take care of myself.”

Highly recommended for Vampire Romance lovers.

This was a really good and well written book! Now I’ll admit, it took me about 30% of the way in to actually enjoy this and get into it, but once I did I was hooked. I loved the ending! It was great and kind of enthralling towards the last few chapters. The characters are interesting and it instantly grabbed me. I enjoyed the historical aspect of this clean romance novel. I also enjoyed the authors note at the end, where she describes how she was inspired and goes on to talk about the historical accuracy of this book. Overall I really enjoyed this book and wouldn’t mind reading the other installments of this series!

I have never read a book like this and it was sooooooo good!
It seems that all men named Jace are hot, strong and romantic.
This is a beautiful story of romance with a bit of mystery and crime.
Surprisingly one of the main plots are surrounded in the setting of a train, my biggest fear and I still loved it!
Historical fiction is becoming a favorite genre of mine.
And this author really has me hooked to the characters and the romance.
Falling in love with your brother in law?
Give me more its so fun!
This was an easy five stars.
Do not judge this book by the cover, it is a beautiful story that is light and entertaining from beginning to end.

I fell in love with most of the characters. This story is an easy read, joyful, exciting, and romantic. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. I wasn’t sure how much I’d like a historical romance but This was such a great book. I didn’t want to put it down.

She gets on the train headed for Holiday, Oregon. A newly settled town, where her soon to be husband runs a ranch. Disappointed to be met by her future father-in-law and not her intended, Cora puts a smile on and keeps her hopes up. Will she ever meet her intended? Will she fall for Jace, the brother, and can they find their happy ever after?
I don’t always appreciate historical stories, but as this one is based in my native state, Oregon, I grabbed it up. I enjoyed the emotions and hardships of life in the 1800’s. Sometimes I forget that no matter how “hard” I think life is, I was born in a time that everything comes easy to me, compared to so many years ago. I am putting this author on my TBR list.

This is the 2nd book in this great paranormal, vampire romance series. Technically each book can be read as a stand-alone but it will make for much better reading and more enjoyment if the series is read I order as there is a background story running along in the background of the romance storyline.
We were introduced to Master Christian Tuscano and Delilah in the first book in the series and this book starts at the exact point where book one finishes. This time Tuscano and Delilah are the main characters but we do still have the characters from book one playing a large role in this book.
I really enjoyed reading Tuscano and Delilah’s story. I was intrigued by both of them in book one and was glad that they got to tell their own story. I love that the book is written in dual POV so we get to see what’s going through the head of both main characters.
I’m really gripped by the ongoing storyline of the vampires and their struggles with others that is running through this series. The author has done a great job of creating a great storyline with many twists and turns that keep you entertained and not wanting to put the book down.
Book 3 is already waiting on my kindle for me to dive into and I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Holiday Hope: Sweet Historical Holiday Romance is the first book in the Holiday Express book series. I enjoyed this historical romance and am glad I have found an author I had not read before. In the late 19th century Cora Lee has traveled to Holiday Oregan to be a mail-order bride. But, when the prospective groom is a no-show, will her heart find love elsewhere?
I really liked the characters of Cora Lee and Jace. I enjoy historical fiction and this takes place during my favorite time period. I do not know much about the railroads but found the character of Jace and his job as a train engineer interesting. I look forward to reading more in this series and from this author in the future.

This was really, truly a great way to start a new series. This author gave us so much in just one installment I can’t wait to see what she gives us in the next book. This story was full of drama, train robberies, love, danger, and kidnapping, and I just simply could not put it down. This author did such a beautiful job with this time period, set in the 1800s, this author clearly did her research and paid very close attention to detail. While this is not usually my kind of genre, this author really hooked me from the very beginning with her wonderful characters and attention to detail, I personally can’t wait to see what she gives us next.
