This was a fast paced good 4 star read and the 5th book in the series. Once you start reading you are pulled right in by the author’s writing.
Miles and Bella are really put to the test. The music industry challenges them at every turn. You get a glimpse at just how stressful it can be. And with Pharaoh creating his own drama and he also has a thing for Bella, which adds more challenges.
Will Bella and Miles get through everything in one piece?
Overall I really enjoyed this book, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what was coming next. The characters were great, very strong. We get mystery, romance, drama and so much more. The book can be read as a stand alone but it will help you with the characters and their stories if you start with book one. It was fun getting a glimpse inside the music industry and what can happen. I look forward to reading more from this author. 1- click and get started today.

I really enjoy this series and it just keeps getting better and better. The story of Katrina and Gabe made me laugh and get all goofy because I do enjoy people finding love and happiness. I also like meeting old friends from other stories in the series. It helps to interlink the story, making it have more meaning. Swipe Right to Bite is a fun read. If you enjoy reading about demons finding love then this book is for you.

This is not an easy read, but it is lovely, fascinating, and rings of truth. As an adult, our heroine has chosen to distance herself from her southern roots. After two decades of living the good life, all the trappings of her “good life” disappear when her husband dies, enslaved to gambling, leaving her feeling betrayed as well as financially ruined. Having no choice but to return to extended family in the south, she discovers a generations-long family mystery. Working through her grief and her tumult, our protagonist accepts a short-term job in Brazil and finds courage, family roots, and herself along the way.

Who doesn’t love to read a story about boy meets girl but with a demon twist? This is the 6th book in the New Orleans Nocturnes series and it captures your attention right from the start. You find yourself rooting for the two main characters, opposites who completely attract. The story moves along quick and you find yourself wanting more. This is the first book in the series that I’ve read and I can’t wait to devour the others books and then hope upon hope that this series will continue.

Imperfectly Yours is the second book in the Titans of Manhattan series by Anise Storm. After reading the first book in this fantastic series, and loving every word, I was really excited to get my hands on this second instalment. I had really high expectations after book one, so I am happy to say that this was every bit as good as I hoped for, if not better (even though the author did have me more than a little worried there for a while). We met Anton and Elsa in Book One, Conveniently Yours, as Anton is one of Caspian’s best friends. So, I was already intrigued by these two characters before I had even opened the book. Anton and Elsa have the fairytale romance, and life is good- but are the foundations of their relationship strong enough to withstand the cracks that start to appear and threaten to crumble their perfect fairytale. Well, no spoilers hers, but I certainly couldn’t put the book down until I had read every single word and found out how it all played out in the end. Looking forward to the rest o the series! Happy reading!

Anton and Else have such a beautiful relationship that really shows the meaning of true love. It starts out as a fairytale romance with a picture perfect wedding. But when Anton has to return to his rigorous filming schedule, the stress starts to mount and their marriage begins to suffer. They face a tragedy early on that is absolutely devastating and find themselves drifting apart instead of growing closer and leaning on each other. Things continue to spiral out of control as they struggle to find their way back to each other. They face so many stumbling blocks along the way but the ending is everything that I could have hoped for. This is one that you definitely won’t want to miss.

A different dystopian adventure Based in a post-pandemic world where everything seems out to get you, we meet Kella. A sassy girl who is trying to keep her brother alive and navigate the drama associated with transitioning to adulthood in an apocalyptic world. The range of characters and Kella’s dialogue made for a funtastic read. I didn’t realise going in that this was a part of a series but that did not seem to matter. My favourite part would have to be Kella’s relationship with her brother Huck. It was just totally awesome. Brilliant book that I recommend.

Apocalypse Thoughts is the fifth book in the Pox Series by Kendra Griffin. This is a young adult story that has entertained me as an adult. I would say this book could be for fifth grade and older. The story is a dystopian, post-apocalyptic adventure story. I love Ms.Griffin’s storytelling abilities. She created a world in which I was pulled in to experience with Kella. Kella is an amazingly strong character. She joins a group of tweens and early twenty-year-old characters. She is to carry data from the CDC to the northern Appalachian Trail. What will Kella run into on her journey? Those who travel with Kella will assist her in her quest? I highly suggest this book to find out these answers and more.

This was the first book in this series that I have read. I can admit, reading the other two would’ve probably helped out a lot. However! This book can be read as a standalone book as well. Tasha and Levi have such a passionate love story between the two of them. I will definitely go back and read the first two, then this one again so I can understand the whole scope of the series.

I have not read one book from this author that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. This contemporary romance is told from several POV’s which I love, because you get a deeper connection and understanding for who the characters are. It makes it easy to become invested in them and their stories. With a little steam, and sexy the story entices you to participate in the good and the bad. But heartache and heartbreak hits when they least expect it, and their happiness is about to be tested. It is a complete ride of rollercoaster ride of emotions. There were times when I didn’t know if I wanted to smack them especially Anton or wrap them up and take them away. Reviewed by @jennadb

While this is the third installment to this series, I honestly have to say that it is by far the most emotional. The feelings between our main characters and thr drama go so deep that it was really a powerful read until the very last page. There was just so much realism in this installment that you find yourself right along side Will and Maggie, and enduring all the pain, agony, and more they they endure. While the flow was beautiful it really was full of twists and turns and you never knew from one page to the next what would happen next. So definitely go pick up this trilogy and binge read it immediately.

While this is the second book in this series I personally think it’s even better then the first. This second installment is full of so much romance, drama, adventure, betrayal, tragedy and so much more that our author really pulls us so much deeper this time. After reading the first installment in this series I couldn’t wait to read this one. I really do recommend readying all of these in order just to get all of the details on our main characters. While I really thought that Will and Maggie would get a break in this book, there was just as much danger and drama in this book and they were really put through the ringer. So if your looking for a historical romance to read this weekend, pick up this series today.

As Lydia is confronted by a masked man who passes this terrifying message onto her, all she can think about is whether he is safe and demands to speak with him before she does anything else, this is when she finds out that Cam has asked Sullivan, an old friend and ex-lover of Lydia’s to help her, she is initially extremely reluctant, but when it is the only condition Cam has, she agrees to it in the end, she will do anything to get him back.

As the trek goes on, Lydia and Sullivan run into more trouble than they bargained for when three strangers, one of whom rescues her from a close encounter with a King Cobra and between that, battling through the harsh terrain and batting away the unwanted attentions of Sullivan, Lydia begins to realise that she has maybe bitten off more than she can chew with this decision. Will Lydia and Sullivan be able to stay out of trouble long enough to retrieve the ring and rescue Cam, or will they have to dodge more than one bullet to maintain their safety? This is a fantasy adventure full of treasure hunting and danger in a beautiful setting where this fast paced race against time pulls you along with them on this crazy adventure.
Swipe Right to Bite is the sixth book in the New Orleans Nocturnes. I haven’t read any of this author’s previous books but I didn’t feel like I had missed anything by picking this series up at book six. This is not my typical type of book, but I was looking for something a bit different. I am not a huge paranormal fan but when I saw it involved romance, I thought I would give it a try, and I am happy I did. This book was hard to put down and there were many times I lost track of the time while I was reading it, especially when reading before bed! I enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers storyline that had lots of humor with it. Overall I will definitely be picking up other books by this author in this series and would highly recommend this book if you enjoy paranormal and romance.

While this book was full of so many different things I really love the way that the plot ebed and flowed. This writer gave us an incredible well developed story, with fantastic characters, and she really just does a fantastic job of pulling you right in. This book is full of time travel, excitement, enchantment, romance and so much more I just simply couldn’t put it down. With the time travel our heroine has a lot of new things that she has to adjust to, and the descriptions make you feel like your right there with her. But I found myself wondering if I would be able to adjust to everything that she had to adjust to. So if your looking for a great new historical romance with some time travel thrown in, then I highly recommend this one.

Their love story gets more in-depth with each page and chapter that I read, and I AM IN LOVE!! The fact that they go through some tough times in their relationship that was evident in this book, it made for that much of a better read! Katrina lives in New Orleans and is the creator of Swipe Right To Bite, it is a dating app for the supernatural beings in the city and because she is a succubus, she knows all about sex and the enjoyment it can bring, even though she is fasting so that she can escape from Satan and win her freedom. Gabe is an incubus and has just moved to New Orleans for a fresh start and to see whether his work will be as well received within the supernatural community as it is in the human communities he has worked with before.
Katrina’s app is the most popular one of its kind, in fact it is the only one of its kind, however when she finds out about the new demon in town and how he is about to ruin her life, she is not impressed in the slightest and decides that she will pay this demon a visit and concocts a plan to do just that, however, it all backfires when he decides to try and turn the tables by gate-crashing an event of hers in return. This doesn’t just annoy Katrina, it starts to cause some problems for everyone else around her, especially when her demon shines through and complicates matters.
Katrina cannot abide this other sex demon and is determined to run him out of town, despite the fact that he is the one person she could break her fast with and not destroy in the process, but she tries to ignore that and plan his demise. Meanwhile, Gabe is determined to show Katrina what she is missing and makes up his mind how to do it, but will he be able to prove that sex demons can experience more than just sex, or will the heat they create in New Orleans scorch them both instead? This is a rip roaring paranormal romance with comedy and romance in spades, as well as a whole heap of trouble which will keep you hooked from start to finish.

Having read and thoroughly enjoyed the previous books in this series I was excited to read this novel and was not disappointed. This gripping historical novel with a time travelling twist had me hooked from start to finish, and I loved being back with main characters, Will and Maggie. The couple are a week away from their wedding when they find Johnnie Hetherington’s dead body tied to a tree on their land. Sergeant Carnaby questions Will and his family about his murder. Then just after the wedding the Armstrong clan attack, and Geordie is determined to rescue his niece from the Foster clan, even though Maggie and Will are in love.
Will tells Dylan to take Maggie to safety, even if that means her returning to the twentieth century. However, with the amulet stone disintegrating Maggie and Will could be separated forever, stuck in different time periods. As usual the author was able to bring both the settings and time periods vividly to life with her descriptive narrative and accurate historical details. The exciting and fast paced storyline flows well and the plot twists ensured I could not put this book down. I would recommend reading this series in order. Overall, this was an engaging and immersive novel and I really hope that there will be a fourth one.

Drama, music and soul searching This is my first book by this author and follows Miles and Bella’s story. The author really captured the cut-throat music industry and the stresses of being involved in that world. I connected well with Miles’ character, his confidence and charisma oozed from the pages but Bella frustrated me at times. A very well written story that is a bit of paranormal, washed with suspense and a filled with a whole lot of romance. Has me very curious to check out the rest of the series.

Unique, confronting and raw This is a straight-up real story that brings very confronting issues to fore. Not only is there romance, but Anton and Elsa have to endure a journey that tugs at the heart strings. The author approaches the issues with a sensitivity but realism that I appreciated. Told in dual POV, this is the second book in the Titans series and I like how it was a very different story from the first book. It was also great to have glimpses of previous characters. Looking forward to book 3.

Apocalypse Thoughts is the second book in the Pox Series, but can definitely be read as a standalone. It’s set in a world which was recovering from a smallpox-based global pandemic, but then was hit by a new and deadlier wave. The story follows a quest through the Appalachian Trail, narrated by unlikely heroine Kella whose main goal is keeping her brother alive. Kella’s brother, Huck, is my favourite character. He’s neurodivergent and brings a great perspective to things with coping mechanisms such as using video game metaphors to make sense of the situation they’re in, and entertaining everyone by retelling the entirety of the MCU. I like that Kella and Huck stand up for each other, even when they’re often frustrated with each other as well. This is definitely not an escapist book for readers wanting to forget about COVID for a bit. But that said, it’s a chance to explore somewhere new from the safety of your home, and will make you grateful that at least we don’t have to deal with zombies! I would recommend this for teen and young adult readers – it gets quite gory and violent at times so would not be suitable for younger readers. Many of the characters have experienced the loss of someone close to them – parents, siblings, grandparents – and at times they discuss how this has affected them. This book gets five stars from me! It’s great if you’re looking for a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I am really enjoying this series as a whole. Each book is strong and every time I pick one up I am excited to read it. I would highly recommend this series and definitely this book.

Lydia will do anything for the man she loves including going into the jungle to save him after he’s been kidnapped. When Cam’s life is threatened, Lydia must go into the jungle and retrieve Theodore’s Ring. A ring that Cam buried after his fathers death in order to keep it from Efrain. But at least she doesn’t have to do it alone.
Sullivan York is Lydia’s ex-lover and says he’ll do whatever it takes to get her back. No. Matter. What.
So now Lydia is dealing with a crazy man threatening her boyfriend, an obsessed ex, and all the craziness that comes with traveling in the jungle. With a deadline of only a few days, Lydia needs to find the ring and save Cam. And fast.
Theodore’s Ring was a quick, fun read. A great novella that stands alone enough to not feel like you’re missing information by not reading the series that it’s spinning off from. I feel like it could easily become a full length novel about Lydia and Cam and how they got their start. It’s a fun little teaser to get me intrigued about other books from this author and I’ll definitely be checking out more!

Katrina is a succubus who doesn’t believe in love. Gabe is an incubus who disagrees. They clash when Gabe’s emotional intimacy counselling seminars impact Katrina’s hookup app business. There are plans made and secrets that must be kept. Katrina and Gabe have instant chemistry and it is fun to watch them dance around each other and try not to let the other person ‘win’. Their banter is amusing and the some of the situations had me laughing. This is a good book for when you need something light and witty.
