Plague of Death (Anchoress Series Book 2) by D.L. Armillei – Review by Jenni Bishop
Plague of Death by D.L. Armillei
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
The saga continues in this action-packed YA fantasy series. This is the second book, and it is better than the first. The author has cleverly woven and masterfully created and adventure that you soon get lost in it. It is written so vividly that it is an experience and not just a story. I strongly recommend you read the first book before you dive into this one, even though the author gives us enough to get a glimpse of what happened in the first book. The story is complex and multi-layered, but the author has blended this together seamlessly with her brilliant word smithing and world building. There is an intriguing list of characters, all sorts of creatures and beings, pirates, and con men, add in danger, magic and portals, mystery and challenges, and evil vs good and you won’t be putting this book down for a while.
Van is back and is growing in strength and character. The author certainly puts her through a lot in this fast-paced journey.
I look forward to further adventures.
