Doctor in the Outback (Welcome to Bunya Junction, #3)Doctor in the Outback by Nicole Flockton
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another enjoyable and engaging novel in the ‘Welcome to Bunya Junction’ series. I was looking forward to returning to Bunya Junction and I was definitely not disappointed. Set in a small town in Australia, the authors descriptive narrative really brings Bunya Junction to life and I could picture the setting, making me feel fully immersed in the story. The storyline focuses on Dr. Scott Carruthers who runs the small town busy hospital at Waratah River. Having also set up a foundation to help others achieve their dreams Scott is far to busy for a relationship. However, when he meets the new specialist obstetrician, Dr. Franceen Lewis the instant attraction he feels is a completion he doesn’t need. Franceen took the job to start her life over after a tragic loss resulted in the end of her marriage, which was an unhappy one.
She just wants to focus on her career and helping others, but she’s not sure how long she can deny the connection she feels towards Scott. Wary of getting involved with another man, Scott continuously proves he’s not like her ex. The more time they spend together both professionally and personally the more their relationship grows but Franceen has trouble putting her past behind her and it may cost her, her future happiness. I loved the main characters as they were both likeable and relatable, and I loved how their relationship developed and grew throughout the story. This heartwarming romance kept me happily turning the pages and I was hoping that Franceen and Scott would get their HEA.
