My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book for me is entirely about the characters. They have such a chemistry right from the moment they meet. You can feel it on every page and it really draws you in. I liked that the book had quite a fun feel to it. And although it always a fairly quick read it was packed full of everything you could want. This is the llkind of Book you read in one sitting simply because it you get caught up in the story. This is a great book that inwould definitely recommend reading.

I honestly love this author and all the other books I have read done by her, so it was a no brainer to grab this one and read it. I do have to say I did not read the first one, but after reading this second book to this series I will for sure grabbing the first one. I was a little bit lost but was able to figure it all out of what was going on. I love the imagination and creativity in this story and the world that she creates. The chaos and suspense in this story really kept me wondering and wanting to read more, I really couldn’t put this book down. I needed to know what was going to happen right away. Highly recommend this book, a must read for sure. Cant wait to see what the author has in story next.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Right from the beginning I knew I was going to really like these books! Melodie is a fun, loving, character. The London stage is set perfectly. And two opposites fall in love unexpectedly. While she is trying to get him his ex-back mind you. What a fun romp! The second book, The Wedding is romantic, sexy, and hilarious! The characters are a good deal of fun. I see this playing out in my mind like a movie. These two stories are my first introduction to Laura Rossi. Her writing style is charismatic and entertaining. I’ll be looking to read more for sure!

really enjoyed the characters in this book. They are both very strong and know what they want. Even though this was a short read it didn’t lack in detail or feel rushed alot ought I’d of preferred a longer book. Zenni and billionaire Colton Sage disagree over what is happening to the planntion as its a connection to her past she feels very passionate about it. Fighting amongst themselves they can’t help but feel a mutual attraction.

I was skeptical when I first saw this book. I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. But I gave it a chance, and I’m glad I did. It’s definitely a different concept. I enjoyed not really knowing what was going to happen next. The only thing that really confused me and didn’t feel like it fit in the book was the relationship between Rod and Sally. I also didn’t catch the age difference between Rod and Ned until it mentioned Sally being Ned’s daughter. I can’t wait to read the second book. Hopefully it will explain things more. I was left needing to know more about Evil Sushi!

The Cruiser (The Hustlers Trilogy, #1)The Cruiser by Rowan Rossler
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the fantastic first book in a new series by an author that is new to me and I can safely say that if this book is any indication of how good her writing is, I’ll definitely be reading more of her work.
This book is a 5 star read for me, I absolutely loved it. With much of it set among the glamour of Monaco and with lots of hot and steamy sex, this book will take you on an amazing journey.
Morgan de Rohan-Chabot is a yacht designer playboy used to having women falling at his feet. Has he met his match when he hires PR queen Vandana Hillman whose marriage has just ended and she’s a little fragile but still feisty as ever.
I loved reading Morgan and Vandana’s story, As well as the scorching romance, there is a great, intriguing storyline set in the world of yacht designing that is full of drama and is very entertaining and kept me gripped. I really did not want to put this book down at night, but unfortunately real life gets in the way.
100% recommend this book and can’t wait to read more in this series.

Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire RomanceEverwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First read by author Stacy-Deanne, however it won’t be my last! Super quick read—finished in less than 2hrs. Romance at its best! The characters were endearing and affable, while sizzling with sexual tension and desire. I loved their love-hate relationship, and was thoroughly rooting for them to end up together, showing us that happily ever after really does exist.

Zenni returned to Everwood County from Chicago after her grandparents home was destroyed to sift through the rubble and attempt to try to stop local billionaire, Colton Sage, from tearing down the plantation that had meant so much to her and her family. Coming off a bad break up and no real ties to the Windy City, aside from her BFF, Vanessa, Zenni thought the change of pace would do her well. Sparks fly between Zenni and Colton from the very first encounter, however both are so bull headed that neither on will back down from their stance on the future of the the plantation. Could the two of them really set aside their differences and give love a chance? Colton has never met any one like Zenni and he is willing to do anything to give their live a shot—except give in about the future of the plantation.

Everwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire RomanceEverwood County Plantation: BWWM Enemies-to-Lovers Billionaire Romance by Stacy-Deanne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This story is a very quick read and it draws you in from the first chapter. You will understand each of Colton and Zenni’s reasons for wanting the plantation. The love that they try to deny throughout the book is super cute. It’s the rich guy that wants to tear it down and the girl that feels it’s the last memories she has of her family. This book does touch on slavery and shows you two completely different views on it. One is pain and suffering, the other is trying to preserve the history. The angst that the characters feel for each other is felt throughout the book. It is such a sweet burn romance. The book has you constantly asking who will prevail and if so will they be able to love each other. Can they put their differences aside and make the best of the situation and have a happily ever after? These questions are what kept me turning the page. It will be a fast, interesting, slow burn romance read that you didn’t know you needed until you finish it.

Melodie Boxset (Melodie #1-2)Melodie Boxset by Laura Rossi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I fell head over heels for Melodie in this rom-com! She has such a big heart and her quirkiness is very relatable. Isaac has his eyes opened to a whole new world when she comes along and you can feel the change in him. I got caught up in their wonderful romance first in Finding Melodie and then rode the ups and downs of The Wedding. You will laugh out loud at some of these mishaps but ultimately swoon over Office Guy and Pixie. This is such an uplifting read that gets you right in the feels and although they are shorter books, I couldn’t get enough of them. I 100% recommend this to anyone, you won’t be able to put it down!

Evil Sushi (Evil Sushi Book 1) by C.A. King – Review by Darla Yocom

Evil Sushi (Evil Sushi #1)Evil Sushi by C.A. King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rod and Ned are two hard-working fisherman struggling to put food on their tables and feed others in the world since big corporations are starting to use their expensive resources, such as large boats and explosives to massacre as much sea life as possible. The corporations’ efforts are leaving the small fishing businesses noticeably less and less options while they attempt to somehow keep their businesses afloat.

One day, Rod comes upon a fissure at the bottom of the ocean and notices a plethora of fish inside that may simply be the answer to their prayers. Rod shares this information with fellow fisherman, Ned and they set out to sea to test their luck at the fissure. Things take an unexpected turn which keeps this captivating storyline on point throughout the remainder of the book.

While the initial struggle from the small businessmen is one that we witness in the present day worldwide, the turn of events is not something that you, as the reader, could predict. The author was perfectly creative with the plot details that will keep you enthralled with the book from the beginning. This title definitely keeps you thinking, even after you finish it. I cannot wait to read the author’s next book.

I enjoyed the humble and faint existence of the allure between Sally and Rod. The author does not make the trickle of their love interest between the two become overwhelming or distracting away from the main story, but just enough of a sliver for you to appreciate it and root for the two to come to a realization of the match over each page.

I am so glad I read this book and think it is now one of my all time favorites. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

This is a fast paced action packed steamy romance. It’s one of those stories that you pick up and can’t put down. The author does an amazing job with the characters. I loved Laura Rossis writing style also, as it was just an easy, happy go lucky read. Melodie and Isaac or as we grow to love them known as “Pixie and Office Guy” had my heart from the very beginning! The story line was easy to follow and wasn’t much drama which I absolutely loved! I devoured this book in one sitting. Vandana’s (what a beautiful name) life just blew about the time she was advised by her business partner that she was meeting with a hot shot yacht designer. Morgan, is a playboy, that’s his reputation. Everywhere he goes he has women hanging all over him. Vandana goes to Monaco to handle all of this PR concern, hoping for it to be a distraction from her own personal life. There were so many things I enjoyed about this book, the scenes from Italy and Monaco were written very well, Vandana’s friends I wanted more of, the steam between Morgan and Vandana! I will never look at mango the same way again! Highly suggest.

Dwarf.

I’m used to women overlooking me in preference to my taller and admittedly more dashing brothers. Even if I see her first, one glance at them, and they can easily steal her away.

There’s no point in hanging onto someone who doesn’t want to stay, but for once in my life I’d like to find a woman of my own who wants only me.

Have to admit I didn’t hope out my hope of finding her, and definitely didn’t expect it to be one who literally swept my wheels from under me.

Not that I knew it at first. My downed bike made me too angry, until I, too, began to experience her fear.

For the first time in my life I discovered there’s more to this world than can be explained away with logic and reason.

Do I believe in ghosts?

I didn’t. Until I met Raven.

The Scent of Gardenias by Lorraine Haas – Review by Shelly Kittell

The Scent of GardeniasThe Scent of Gardenias by Lorraine Haas
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh my goodness, this story was beautiful. A coming of age for Margaret during tough times. Her father tried hard to keep her under his thumb but couldn’t because Margaret was pretty strong willed. She though she was making bad choices after losing Eugune to the war. Two more failed marriages and the death of her sister and a few other losses and misadventures, Margaret is pissed and ready to get back on her feet. She is wanting to be a good role model for her daughters. The story is just so beautifully written. The flow is smooth. The characters meld together. Her father is so overbearing and its interesting to see that some of her choices, such as Joe, end up being like her father. The main question of the story is can she forgive? That’s hard to answer because I’m not sure that I would want to forgive my father for that kind of behavior. But her brother Edsol is such a good soul and he’s like the good angel on her shoulder, right there to remind her to forgive. The characters are so well developed. You have good ones like Eugene and Franny; to bad ones like Joseph to her father. You felt like you knew them because you could just feel them as you read. It’s hard to describe but you felt like they were people you knew. I still can’t decide about Leland. He did what was good for June at the time but as a mom that kind of irks me. This is a fantastic story that I would give more than 5 stars if I could. You need to read this. Hit that one-click, you know you want to. I highly recommend this story.

I loved this book with a passion. To say it was freaking dark good would seriously be an understatement! I was swept away truly in the author’s writing, the characters, and the story! I was truly indulged!

Vandana and Morgan really brought a lot to the table I found. Likeable characters in different ways, but at the same time, they had their differences and you could detect what you liked and not so much liked about them. Their chemistry was seriously off the charts. And their chemistry alone truly contributed to making this book an addictive read for me. The time they were put together for, who knew what would happen. I was on my seat’s edge with a strong anticipation and wanting more. The build was perfect, really enjoyed how the author did the story and the build up! Kept you in anticipation! Loved this book!

Seriously, this is by far a must read! The author knew exactly what they were doing with keeping the reader interested, and involved in the story! Highly recommend this must read book! Loved it!

This book gave me so much emptions, it was truly impossible not to fall in love with the characters and the story line. I loved every moment of reading, it was beautiful and striking as a read at the same time!

I loved the way the author did their writing. It was a easy flow, and it was very easy to be swept away into the story. Margaret was such a commendable character. She had endured so much, and in truth, wanted so little in return. I felt myself go though the changes of life and within her , beside her. She was wonderful and I really felt for her. The surrounding characters added nicely as well. The story really pulled at your heart strings at times, but all in all, the story showed what we go through to achieve the life we want. I loved this book with all my heart and soul, very happy I got to read and enjoy this!

To say the least, this is a must read novel! I was very much swept away with emotions as I read through, and I really felt everything possible as I read. This is a must read for sure, highly recommend!

This book is a fast paced romance with lots of flirting and spice. Morgan has a reputation for being a ladies man. He leaves a trail of broken hearts everywhere…until he met Vandana. Morgan is a famous yacht designer and he’s looking for the best PR person, Vandanna. She is the best in what she does. Her life is falling apart. She learns her husband is playing for the other team. The director who wants to blackball him is her first boyfriend. He ties to watch over her, but they will never work. And her business partner, I can’t even explain him. She is just lost. She agrees to meet Morgan and do PR for him but little do they know, there are forces against them. Can they get through this and face the attraction that has been building? Can they get through the bad PR that pops up? I recommend you read this to find out. I loved this book. The story is strong, fast, full of action and romance. You also get a little tour of Monaco and some other areas and Morgan’s family. The characters are so well-defined. Olivier, Morgan’s manager, is a jerk and you can just tell. A few others are defined that well also. You can feel the emotion and chemistry between Van and Morgan. It is just so palpable. The book is so good, yet I can’t share anymore because it will give away key things. I can tell you that you’ll love it. Well-written, well-done! My favorite scene was the whole interaction around Van and Prince Khaled. A definite 5 in my book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This historical women’s fiction story is set in the 1940’s in America set in WWII. It is a bit of an emotional read as Margaret Rose is put through so much suffering and loss. It is raw and gritty and heart wrenching with pain and angst, grief and sorrow, disasters and poverty, and so much more. This poignant story is personal for the author. It is inspired by her mother’s real-life story which makes it so much more powerful.

This beautiful tale you will not be able to put down as you follow along on a path for a better life that only to be down trodden time after time. It is a tribute to Margaret that she was able to forge through some of the worst times and not come out the other side. It is a story of courage and discovery and self-preservation.

Lorraine has lovingly and painstakingly woven a powerful story so close to her heart.

This is one story you do not want to miss.

It was a cute millionaire contemporary romance. It is a quick and steamy read that is set in the playground of the rich, Monaco and the beautiful Italy. With lots of sizzling chemistry the characters are interesting but their stories felt a little lacking and some of the story felt a little out of place but overall, it didn’t fully stop me from enjoying the storyline. This is my first time reading a book by Rowan and it is fun and had me laughing at times with the banter and a little sugar and spice.

A notorious playboy and yacht designer Morgan de Rohan-Chabot needs her help and that is where the fun begins.

So, how much is a trip to Monaco? After this book, I MUST go! The MANGO’S seem like they are to die for!

Sexy, drama filled, and filled with sinful delight! Vandana definitely took on more then she thought. After needing a getaway to cope with life, she stepped into the unknown. Being a successful CEO of a PR firm, she may need to enlist in one for herself. Secrets have a way of coming out from those you lease expect.

Morgan can bring out the wild in people. Born on the open waters and growing to sail them when he wants turns out as an advantage. Is Monaco’s Most eligible bachelor able to turn things around? Or will business get in the way.

Rowan Rossler has a talent for setting the mood! This book is for mature readers as it’s very sexually stimulating. And ladies, Morgan is to DIE for! Rowan was able to articulate in a way that I was able to see everything as if I were watching a movie play out in front of my own eyes. I would recommend this to my fellow readers looking for an escape from the real world for a little while!

This is an amazing quick second chance romance. It lives up to the genre of being a romantic comedy. However, it also has some suspense to keep you really focused on the plot. The characters are wonderfully written and seem like they would be someone that you would actually want to be friends with in real life. When you think you know where this story is going, you don’t. It takes some twists and turns that you don’t see coming and that kept me reading and not wanting to put the book down. There is some steam to this book and it just makes it that much more enjoyable. This is a great read if you want to giggle, feel some heat, and have an amazing plot twist.

Spring's Showers: Romantically Seasonal: SpringSpring’s Showers: Romantically Seasonal: Spring by C.A. King
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Quote from the book
(“We’ve been here throughout time,” Nick answered. “We’ve done everything there is to do, even played games with mortal pawns, using them as we would chess pieces… or cards.”He held up his hand. “I’m not proud of it, but it was something that happened back in those days.)

The Gods have always interfered in the lives of mortals so it should come as no surprise when they make a bet that involves humans. Eros aka Cupid is tired of being low man on the totem pole, thought less of by the other Gods. Who are they to judge him and think his job, of helping everyone and everything find love is easy? True love is easy, that in itself is a joke, but let them just see how hard it is as they attempt to win the wager against him.

This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait to read more. As a lover of mythology I was intrigued by the dynamic of the Gods’ interactions and ways of thinking versus that of mere mortals, but at the core this is a sweet love story. This made such a fast, great read that I highly recommend this book and this author.
