This book (well boxset really) was so cute and sweet! I highly enjoyed reading this. What really caught my eye was the cover, because it really is a gorgeous cover, but the storyline and characters made me stay! The main character, Melodie, was such a quirky and loving character! I wish I could meet her in real life because her character is awesome. I laughed while reading this book and I wanted to cry, it was so beautiful reading their (Melodie’s and Isaac’s) story. I would love to read about these characters again, one day in the future!

What can I say other then this second chance romance really blew me away. With this was a romantic comedy there is plenty of suspense to keep us readers on the edge of our seats. From the adorable cover, to the interesting synopsis, to the amazing characters this book really knocked it out of the park. What will Angelina do when she comes face to face with her nemesis and discovers that he’s her new boss? Will the rekindle their flame? Or will the changes to the magazine turn Angelina’s world upside down? You’ll have to read this amazing second chance romance to find out.

What will happen if they explore those feelings and where will that leave Gage? I thought this book was well written but I wasn’t into the MM scenes.

Unabridged (Lovestruck Series Book 2) by Melinda De Ross 4 of 5 Stars An enjoyable and entertaining romantic comedy which kept me happily turning the pages, wanting to know if it had a HEA or not. Although part of a series it can be read as a standalone story. Journalist Angelina, moved to Seattle to pursue her career, but is then surprised to find that the man she left behind, Blade Spencer, is her new editor-in-chief at ‘Unabridged magazine’. Everyone thought Angelina was stupid to leave the rich, handsome Blade, who happened to be in love with her, but she knows that she did it for him, and is determined to keep her secret. Unfortunately, that means that Blade just thinks she left him for selfish reasons, which makes him being her boss difficult. However, she’s not the only one with secrets and Blade has one of his own, which then causes complications for the couple once they realise they are still attracted to one another. This is a fun, lighthearted and witty story with likeable and relatable characters who definitely have chemistry, which leads to some steamy scenes. The storyline has enough drama in it that you can’t help but keep reading to find out whether Angelina and Blade will get their HEA or not.

This suspenseful book was full of twists and turns right from chapter one! Leaving you on the edge of your seat, anxious to learn more. Set in a rural small town, nothing and no one was what it seems. Josie moved to herself and her children to her family’s secluded cabin in order to escape her crazy, ex-husband. Throughout the storyline, you wonder who is really the crazy one…Josie or her soon to be ex-husband, Eddie. Josie, filled with paranoia pertaining to Eddie went to extreme measures to ensure that her and her two children would be protected from him. If that wasn’t enough, Josie was EXTREMELY paranoid pertaining to the virus that originated in China and was spreading like wildfire throughout the United States.
While I found the novel riveting and full of suspense, I felt the writing jumped around a lot and was slightly difficult to follow along with. Overall, the story was good and I well worth 4 stars. This was my first Tom Swyers novel, and I would definitely be interested in investing in reading some more of his work in the future!

Hush, My Darling is the second book in the Benoit and Dayne series. I did not read the first book, but the second book was clear enough that it stood alone and was easy to follow. This book is a page turner and one that I had a very hard time putting down, in fact, I read it in one day. This is unheard of for me! The book opens and we meet Dayne who has just been called to the crime scene. The body they have discovered has a message, one that is meant for Dayne herself. You see, Dayne is the only living survivor of this serial killer. And it seems that the killer has come back for her. This brings Daynes past crashing down around her both figuratively and literally. As Dayne grapples with her past, deciding whether to continue to be a cop and her very complicated love life, we also meet Benoit. Benoit is the new Sheriff in town. She is learning the ropes in a town that feels that she is not capable of the role. She is dealing with unprecedented flooding and now a serial killer is in her town. She deals with who she can trust and if the old Sheriff who is offering his help is trustworthy and has good motives. This story is filled with twists and turns until it comes to one stunning conclusion.

Finding Melodie and The Wedding Boxset By: Laura Rossi 5 Stars
This boxset contains both books in the series of Melodie and the Office Guy. I absolutely loved these books. They were easy to read with loveable characters that I found myself thinking about long after both stories ended.
Both stories focus on Melodie, who is perhaps one of the most loveable and relatable characters I have ever met. She had a very nontraditional upbringing and has a love of music. She is going to school to be a composer and works as a bartender and busking in London. It is here that she first spots Office Guy. Office Guy is another very lovable and relatable character. We all know someone who has lost themself while trying to be who they think the person they love wants them to be.
Finding Melodie centers around how Office Guy and Melodie meet and become friends. After Office Guy is broken up with, Melodie hatches the most incredible plan to help him get her back. What she doesn’t count on is falling in love with him. The question throughout the story is can she keep helping him try to get his girlfriend back when she knows she is developing feelings for her? Will her feelings ever be reciprocated?
The Wedding is all about the trials and tribulations that Office Guy and Melodie go through as they are finally ready to tell the world that they love one another. Office Guy comes from a very traditional, upper class background while Melodie comes from a family of musicians, who also happen to be hippies. To say Melodie wasn’t welcomed by them would be an understatement.
Laura Rossi truly created a gem in these two books. They were quick reads and they kept me wanting more. I can only hope that she will write more about Office Guy and Melodie in the future.

This is such an easy romance read. I truly enjoyed the pace of the novel and the storyline was fairly believable. The story begins with Angelina. Angelina works at a literary magazine and has come up with a great column. She has written it (and drawn illustrations to go with it) and she is dashing into her boss’ office to show him her next great idea. It is a little edgier than her usual column but she thinks he will approve of her next big idea. As she opens the door she is amazed to see who is in her boss’ office. Her boss has retired and the love of her life, whom she left behind three years ago is standing in his place. Her former lover is now her boss. Angelina’s past catches up to her present very quickly and she must determine how she can move forward. Three years ago, she left Blade with no explanation, searching for a better life for herself to give him the life she thought he deserved. A lot happens in three years, however, is there such a thing as a love that is meant to be? Angelina and Blade must decide how to move past those three years and the pain that both of them feels if they decide to be together now. They also must decide if it is even ethical for them to be together. Blade is in the middle of a messy divorce. It definitely isn’t going to be easy if they decide that they want to be together again. This book was such an easy read. I truly enjoyed reading about Blade and Angelina and seeing how the grapple with the decisions of their past. I also really enjoyed how their families interacted with them. Angelina’s mom was an amazing character and I loved how she ended up having her own side plot of her own. I would definitely love to read a follow up that not only explores Blade and Angelina further, but also has a focus on her mother and her side of things.

I just want to start by saying I read this in one sitting. It was perfectly adorable. There were never ill intentions by the two main characters and I loved that. It was a romance that started with a heartbreak and ended with happiness. Everybody in the story (minus the cause of the initial heartbreak) were sweet and quirky and people that I would love to have in my friend group. I would love to see this become a movie, I could picture everybody so clearly. I love the awkward moments as much as the perfect moments. Which lines up with the protagonist of this story. Definitely recommend this bookset. And definitely recommend clearing your calendar for the night in order to read straight through both books!

The author of this story is new to me, but is added to my Must Read list. His story is not only blood chilling, he will call on all of your feels. The characters are well planned and fit their roles. This is one rollercoaster I did not want to get off of. I look forward to reading more thrillers and suspense in the books to follow.

This book is such an easy read. It will immediately suck you in. I read this book in 2 days, I literally could not put it down. I want to be best friend’s with Elizabeth, everyone needs someone like her in your life. Seriously. Lila makes you seriously think and question so many things through out the entire book. I actually cried at the end because its sad, and happy. I definitely am going to re read this, because you think the killer is a few different people, but at the end everything makes complete sense of who the killer is! Kyle, you definitely want to be friends with, and you root for his and Lila’s relationship. I cannot wait for the 3rd book! such a wonderful series.

Admittedly this is the first book by this author that I read, and yes it is the 3rd book in this series. However, I was instantly drawn to the story and could not put this book down! It encompassed me from the very first chapter. It has grit. It has passion and spice. It was enthralling and a remarkable read. Just when Johnathan Cage thought he didn’t need any one person in his life, BAM, she appears. Just when she thought she was content with her life, BAM, he appears. The stories leaves them inseparable from the very beginning. If you love page turning, spicy books then this is definitely a go-to!

This was a difficult book for me to finish. I love a lot of this authors work but this wasn’t one of them. I think the concept of very different and I haven’t seen anything like it. Finding Melodie was a sweet & sad story. Melodie helped Issac propose to his girlfriend. Who actually turned him down. This story was about Melody deciding she was going to help Issac get her back. But at what cost to her? She’s falling for someone she can’t have. Repeating the same cycle in her life. The question is what does Issac want? The Wedding reminded me so much of the movie Monster In Law, which I do love! It’s time to meet the parents and get to know them better! Or so Melodie thought. Instead she got an overprotective future mother in law to boot. Cynthia, Issac’s mom, took one look at Melodie and was like “nope not my son.” She made it her mission to prove to Melodie that her relationship was wrong. That she didn’t belong. It’s the way she went about it, as well as finding out she had a mother in law that detested her, at which I come to the movie comparison. It’s a cute romantic boxset with some entertainment to boot. Definitely worth the read!

This is a good book about a love lost and rediscovered in the most unexpected way, and with many issues trying to keep them apart. Angelina walked away from the love of her life three years ago, never expecting him to walk back into her life, and definitely not as her boss. Blade Spencer takes over as editor-in-chief for a literary magazine, Unabridged, for a friend of his father’s who is retiring. He never expected to find his lost love, Angelina. Life has given them a second chance, if only they can get past all of the people and situations who don’t want to see them reunited. Will they make it through it all?

4/5 stars This was my first book by this author and I was not disappointed! This story made me root for Angie and admire her ability to stand up for herself despite the pain it may cause. Although I wanted her and Blade back together, I was glad she didn’t just give in the first moment she say him as her new boss. There’s also some funny parts that made me laugh out loud. This book showcases an abundance of entertainment that will have you turning the page until you finish it!

While I was hoping that Book Two would follow more with Tessa and Locke and how things unfolded with the trafficking ring, I was pleasantly surprised to read this one. The author does continue with the MFM romance trope, which again for all the bi people (Including myself), is just giving everything I’ve ever needed. Once again, a quick and easy read. I had trouble sleeping this morning so I was up at 5:30 and decided to get some reading done off my TBR, and I could follow everything pretty well for being half awake. The M/F/M threesome trope is for sure something not seen in a lot of mainstream books, and it was for sure interesting to see here. I really enjoyed this book, it was a super quick read with shorter chapters, and I’m excited to see where the other one goes.

I enjoyed the premise of Cupid’s bet against fellow Gods that his job is in fact tougher than theirs. It was an easy read and I read it quickly. I thought the human characters were cute and spot on. I look forward to reading the other books in this series. Cupid is a lot different than I imagined him to be but it makes his character more interesting. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted read.

I really enjoyed this young adult fantasy adventure. The author did an amazing job of building the scenes and making the story gripping and fast paced. The characters are really well written and work well together. This is a story full of mystery and betrayal. There is a constant figure for survival and trying to avoid the people who want to harm you. You don’t know who to trust. The part I enjoyed was when the young girl Linh and Ruarnon even though they are from completely different places they now have to work together if they are to succeed and for Linh to return home. It was a really enjoyable.story and I can’t wait to see how it will progress

Zenni is a florist that wants to save her family history in a slave run plantation in her hometown of Everwood and Colton is the millionaire hell bent on tearing it down to build townhomes. Zenni wants the he plantation preserved to keep the history of Everwood County and her ancestors and Colton wants to develop the small town and erase that what Everwood plantation represents with its slave history. The story was a easy read but in my opinion didn’t give much character development and moved very quickly. If you are looking for a quick, fun and easy read the is good for that. If you want something with character and story line depth, this would not be it.

I have read quite a few books written by Ms. Mellett and her writing just gets better with each book. I love how thorough she is with her descriptions if it’s of the club house and compound or just the people in general. The characters are strong willed with little quirks that makes them feel real. The plot was great and different which is good. We have seen Marvel around in other books… At 55 years old Marvel becomes a member of the Satan’s Devils MC to escape his past. He vowed to never fall in love again after he learned woman can’t be trusted. And that’s a vow he took to heart until he meets Virginia. Virginia has been through hell the last few years so what’s being stuck in a small room with a stranger while the bank was being robbed. She doesn’t know if she can trust Marvel especially after she was traumatized by the man she loved. While hanging in the room they talk and get to know each other and they are both surprised with how much they have in common. Can these two overcome their past? Will Marvel be able to save Virginia? Can they mend their hearts and make them whole? Will Virginia speak up for herself or go back too being a recluse?

Sashimi is the second book in the Evil Sushi series by the very talented C.A King. I loved the first book, Evil Sushi, so much- it was such a fun read, so I was thrilled to find this had arrived on my Kindle. I did have high expectations, because the first book was so entertaining- and Ms. King didn’t let me down, delivering a worthy second instalment. I am excited to find that there will be a third book in the series, can’t wait to get my hands on ‘Wasabi’ (Book #3). As with the first book, this has such an original and clever story, really unlike anything I have read before. It has elements of paranormal, sci-fi, horror, dystopia, action, adventure, thriller, mystery, and suspense. With environmental and political issues and agendas, discoveries, danger, good vs evil, small town setting, conspiracies, secrets, hidden agendas, ‘monsters’, and all the intrigue and dramatic developments that you would need to keep you hooked right till the very end. Sashimi follows on from where we left off in book one- so if you haven’t read the first book yet, I highly recommend that you do so before diving into this book as there are important details there along with a continuing storyline- so you will need to know what happened in book one to fully appreciate and understand what’s happening in this instalment. As expected from Ms. King, this was a really imaginative, wonderfully detailed, and well written story that wouldn’t let me put it down until I had devoured every word. I am excitedly anticipating the release of Book #3, Wasabi, so I can continue the story and find out how it all plays out in the end! Definitely worth the read!

While erotic romance is typically my go to when I read, this book was a far cry from what I usually read. Surprisingly I really enjoyed this one, the author sucks you in quickly and there is no lull in action (in or out of the octagon). I would gladly read more from her in the future, I may even pick up the first two books in this series.

If you are a YA fantasy reader, then please try this book. It did take me a minute to get into it due to trying to get the timeline right. Ruarnon is a nonbinary and I love how it was portrayed in the book. Their kingdom gives them a hard time, but they work on it through every step. Right now, they have to work on a kingdom to be theirs while trying to save their lives as well. Through all the paths, it was a great book.

Hush, My Darling (Benoit and Dayne Mystery Book 2) by Winter Austin. This author is fast becoming my very favorite author. I loved the first book and this book was even better. I do recommend reading the first book because this one picks right up where book 1 left off. Its the story of Deputy Lila Dayne who has moved to rural Iowa to be a Deputy. She is moving from Chicago where as a police officer she was almost killed by the I-80 serial killer. Sheriff Elizabeth Benoit swears that Lila will have no trouble in the sleepy town in Eckardt County. What Lila and Elizabeth don’t know is the killer has followed Lila to this little town and is about to start creating havoc. When Lila realizes her greatest fear is back she shuts down and pushes everyone out that can help her. Will Elizabeth and the other deputies be able to pull Lila back in to catch the killer before he takes his next victim and finish what he started with Lila. Read this amazing fast paced series! You won’t regret it!

Wow, what a great read! This book had a way of just sucking me in and kept me hooked until the end. This book is about second chance love and boy did they get it. There was so much action in this book, mix with a little romance, made this book just awesome. Must read book.
