My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this trilogy of stories based on timeless tales from Mythology, but retold with a new perspective. Each story is told from the females point of view, giving a voice to the women who made the stories, such as, “Homeric Hymn to Demeter, the Odyssey, and the Epic of Gilgamesh”, so memorable. By retelling these tales of myth and adventure, both the ancient world and the world of gods, monsters, and the otherworldly, are made relevant to todays readers. I was hooked from start to finish and I felt completely immersed in the stories, due to the wonderful descriptive narrative, the fascinating historical details, and the relatable characters. An enjoyable and engaging read.
