Thorfinn and the Witch's Curse (The Forerunner Series #1)Thorfinn and the Witch’s Curse by Jay Veloso Batista
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A must read for anyone that enjoys historical fictions with a touch of magic woven into the story. Set in England during the time of the Vikings. It is filled with unique characters of the time frame, adventure, legends, and great world building. The story is told from multiple perspectives which gives the reader a more immersed experience in the story. A gripping page turner to find out what will happen next. I cannot wait to continue this series to follow the adventure.

Raga is trapped as a raven in this world who wants his cursed lifted by the lad Thorfinn, or Finn for short. The curse is related to this boy’s family from previous generations back. After and adventure with friends Finn becomes cursed himself as a living ghost. Boy by day and ghost by night learning secrets that none were meant to know. The clan is preparing for his sister’s wedding meanwhile people are also growing weary of Finn. His curse has given him valuable information that means ill will toward his family. Can this curse be used in favor of his family? What is the fate for our young cursed lad?
