Burned by Love—Firehouse 13 #4 by Danielle Jacks

This is my first Danielle Jacks novel, however it will not be my last! LOVED this book! Short, easy, read that leaves the reader rooting for this couples happily ever after, despite the questionable age gap. Can’t wait to go back and read the first 3 books of the series. Phenomenal read!

Heroic veteran firefighter, Solan Fox, is devastated and mentally broken when rescuing two children from a fire leaves him injured and forced to give up a career that he loves. Finding solace in the bottom of a bottle and drowning in a pool of self pity, Sol is certain that his live is over….that is until a chance encounter reconnects Sol with his former mentee, Ember. Ember is a young, ambitious, firefighter whose career was just beginning when Sol had his accident. As Ember has always admired Sol, she realizes that he is struggling and is anxious to help him find his place in the world—outside of fighting fires. As their friendship continues to blossom, they soon realize that the feelings each other had kept hidden from the world are sizzling right beneath the surface. Is a relationship with Ember, enough to give new meaning to Sol’s life or will the fact that she is still able to do the job they both loved come between them?
