Years later, Remi is buying Lafayette Marketing when he sees a distressed Audri. He hadn’t seen his best friend, Grayson, little sister in years since he had moved to New York. Unaware of what was causing her distress, he decides he will follow up with her later. Audri is walking to the human resources department to speak about her sexual harassment complaint against Lawrence Lafayette. The meeting didn’t go well, and Audri leaves work upset. She goes to her brother’s housewarming party and runs into Remi. Audri can’t deny the attraction she has for Remi, but he keeps a distance from her. Remi tries to avoid attachments, but something about Audri has piqued his interest.
