The Second Alpha Heir by C.L. Ledford – Review by Deborah White

The Second Alpha HeirThe Second Alpha Heir by C.L. Ledford
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This story was such a good read. I enjoyed it from the very first page up until the last. I have never read a werewolf story before, but I’m glad that this one was my first. I was able to quickly understand the unique terminology and feeling that is unique to stories of this nature.
In the book Nolen loses his older brother and is forced to take on the responsibility of Alpha heir. His story is one that goes through all the emotions from sadness to happiness, from pain to joy, from fear to strength.
I was thoroughly pleased with the pace of the story and the characters. I was initially worried the story would be too graphic or not hold my interest but I was happily mistaken. There is some adult language and an intimate scene, but it is well developed and tasteful. This is a good read not just for werewolf enthusiasts, but also for anyone who is interested in a story about someone who has to endure life’s hardships and overcome them despite the many obstacles that come their way.
