Ritual Obsession (Blood Obsession Book 1) by R.L. Dunn – Review by Jess Dimmock

Ritual Obsession (Blood Obsession Book 1)Ritual Obsession by R.L. Dunn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I went into this one not really knowing what to expect as I’m not usually one to pick up a “cop drama” type novel. Boy, do I need to rethink that. Dunn writes amazing, well-rounded characters, and fleshes them out as they “come into view”. By this I mean as they become more important to the story and the main characters, which I love! I’ve always despised having an entire cast named and described to me, then having to come back some hundred pages later when some of them become pertinent.
Our main characters are Two female detectives, Rose and Bobbi. This follows them through both their personal and professional time while working the case of the Bathtub killer. Both women experience some major growth as characters and we really get to see that. There are some graphic scenes, and the cliffhanger at the end definitely had me screaming at my kindle app! Well played Dunn, well played.
