Jake (Billionaire Blind Dates Book 1) by Toni Denise – Review by Kerry Carr

Jake (Billionaire Blind Dates Book 1)Jake by Toni Denise
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the first book in the Billionaires Blind Date Series. This is a story about finding love in someone you never expected to find. I love the author’s twist on the blind date thing where the characters have to use their senses other than sight to connect with another person. I like this idea because you can really fall for the person and not the way they look.

Jake is a very wealthy man. He has women throwing themselves at him but most of them are just after his money. After his past failed relationship he’s about ready to give up on finding a woman who wants him for the person he is and not the money in his bank.

Lauren has a dislike for rich men. Everyone that she knows think that women should be grateful for their time and attention and Lauren hates that. All she wants is nice respectable man.

So when Jake and Lauren get thrown into a blind date party in the dark neither of them know who they are connecting with but the connection is definately there.

When all is revealed Lauren is concerned that people will think she’s with Jake for his money and no matter how much Jake reassures her that he knows that’s not the case it puts strain between them. Added pressure comes when Lauren’s mother wants Jake to give her money.
What happens next is a whirlwind story as Jake and Lauren try to protect their growing relationship while silencing the doubters that want to see them fail.
Can they get through all this additional pressure? Will Lauren always feel like people are doubting her reason for being with Jake?
