Just One More Egg (Science Folktales Book 6) by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Karen Pearman
Just One More Egg: A Science Folktale by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As with all this author’s books, she can teach kids a lesson using animals. This one was with birds. It was a nice and different choice of an animal. I love that she taught about love and caring for all animals even if they are not your own. There was a little sadness involved, but it helped tell the story of hope so that made up for the tear that I may have shed. Depending on the age of the child there may be questions of why that you will have to answer, but I think it will provide a parent or teacher with a teaching moment. I love the illustrations that she provides with the story as they are always so cute. The colors are always so vivid which I love.
