Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2) by Landra Graf – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras

Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2)Operation Escape by Landra Graf
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series which I didn’t realise when I first selected it but that didn’t matter as it can be read as a standalone.
I admit that sometimes I find sci-fi romance books hard to follow, but it’s authors like this one who create great and entertaining chemistry between characters that draw me in instantly. I fell in love with Sera and Markus, and although there are times I want to knock their heads together, their personalities win me over. The determination Sera shows in the search for her uncle is admirable given she’s basically been thrown in the deep end and I really love her for it.
But the thing that captured most of my attention was the world-building. It cannot be easy to come up with alien species and describing new civilisations and so on, but it was done so well here it seems so natural. It’s a talent I am in awe of.
I’ll be going back to read the first book next, and hope that a third is in the works!
