The Fifth Daughter of Thorn Ranch by Julia Brewer Daily. I LOVED this book. Its so good and kept me up way too late flipping pages. Its the story of a large Texas Ranch, The Thorn. Emma the 5th generation of the family to run this ranch is in charge and is more than capable. She has finished Veterinary School with her degree and is ready to start working as soon as she gets there. When Emma takes a ride around the ranch to some of the more alienated areas she gets spooked and lost. When she is found it is by a group of people that are mostly unkown and they call themselves The People and they tell her of ancient myths and stories she has never heard. While Emma’s parents send out a frantic search for her, The People are scared that if they return her they will all be “taken care of”. Emma learns about this tribe of people, her ranch, secrets of the ranch and herself while she is “Kidnapped”. This story is full of mystery, ranching information and history. Do yourself a favor and read it today!
