His Forever Muse (The Echo Series Book 2) by C.R. Alam – Review by Angela Shirley
His Forever Muse by C.R. Alam
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Brandon is missing something in his life, although he is successful in his career he has lost something inside who drives his creative flare. When he sees everyone around him falling in love and having there forever lives he wishes he could find that himself and then complete the half that’s missing.
While talking about his unsettled spirit his friend, Rae suggests while the band in on a break for him to go and explore the world and try and centre himself to find the missing link. Although he was not expecting that to be in the shape of a blast from his past, Callie.
Callie has had a past she would rather forget, although she has a life she has always wanted there is always that fear deep down it will all be taken away from her, so when a business trip throws her back in her past and the one man who got away, has she got the strength and trust to follow her heart.
As Brandon and Callie reconnect can they both overcome there own histories to make a new future with each other?
Oh my lord, this book was explosive and well written with the story that powers along and draws you into the story and feel every emotion which is felt with each character. This story has triggers of abuse but the writing is brilliant and you end up heartbroken for Callie and feel like she deserves Brandon and that only thing of “What if” is a potent emotion.
I have always wanted to see if Brandon got his true one as I loved his character in book 1 and his optimism in that story, so it was wonderful and heart breaking in this story. Callie was a great equal to Brandon and her strength of character came across within the writing and words written, the emotions you have reading the past of her was just gut wrenching but it is great to see her have a happily ever after.
I can’t wait to read the next book for Chris’s story, he pops in and out of the first two books but there is a brilliant story just under the surface which I can’t wait to read.
