Magic Borne by C.L. Schneider is the third and final book of the Crown of Stones trilogy. We once again join Ian Troy: Shinree, solider, revolutionary as he tries to stop the new self-proclaimed emperor from his evil plans and steer events away from foreseen tragedy. Once again we are taken on a journey through this complex world with costly magic and complex characters but this time we get far more history! The character development found in the books is nothing short of magnificent. The story remains compelling but dark. It is a fitting ending to a journey that, in the midst of book one, I wasn’t sure would be worth the ride.

Consigliere’s Revenge is the third thrilling book in the Sicilian Gods series by Via Mari. This instalment of the fantastic dark mafia series is a gripping romantic suspense with an enemies-to-lovers element, tension, secrets, action, forced proximity, rivalry, challenges, investigation, danger, intensity, passion, chemistry, sizzle, mafia politics, family, loyalty, agendas, emotion, twists and turns, angst, violence, revenge, threats, and high stakes. Izzy has a nose for a great story, but this time she may have stepped into the lion’s den and captured the attention of a dangerous beast with dark secrets he needs to keep buried. Lorenzo is the consigliere of the Larussio Crime Family and will do what ever it takes to protect his family. Get set, because the sparks are about to fly….What happens makes for quite an intense and riveting read. This is the third book in the series and although you could read it as a standalone if you wanted without feeling lost or confused as each book focuses on a different ‘couple, who have their own story to tell, there are recurring characters and other relevant details that I think you would want to know leading into this book/series. So, I highly recommend reading the first two books before starting on this one, as knowing what has happened previously will definitely enhance your reading experience of this third instalment, as well as the series, as a whole. As I have mentioned many times now, I have read all of Via Mari’s book and have loved every single one of them. This talented author never fails to deliver a sexy and enticing read that grabs me and keeps me glued to the pages as all the gritty, raw, and intriguing developments unfold. Magic Scars is the second book in the Crown of Stones trilogy by C.L. Schneider. This book starts two and half years after the ending of the first book. We pick up with Ian Troy once more as he is freed from the terrible prison in Darkthorne. Having been under a drug which takes memory, self, and will away – Ian struggles to find his new self in the fray. Friends are scattered, enemies are everywhere, and Ian is now at the center of a rebellion. This book was easier for me to get into than the first. A good pick for fans of dark fantasy but definitely needs to be read in order.

This is a cute retelling of the little red riding hood story. Red is off to see her grandma and bring her some flowers. Along the way she meets the wolf and the mischief begins. The wolf helps Red but is he really helping her or does he have a nefarious plan in the works? Young readers will enjoy this quick read. It is easy to follow and understand. The story is fun and exciting. Red learns to look for the truth and figure out a mystery. A little more information and details would make this book better. It was nice to see a strong young character who is smart and inquisitive. This story moves at a fast pace and feels rushed at times. The words and pictures go together well and the pictures are just as important to this story as the narrative is. All in all this is a good way to get children excited and interested in science and nature,
Each book in this series provides enough insight and detail it could be read together as a series or as a stand alone.
A strong queen that only wants to keep her people safe must work through her own trials and tribulations. But what if she doesn’t want to be a queen is that possible ? This series take you through highs and lows and while it unwraps the future you discover more and more about her past.

This is such a cute, fun twist to Little Red Riding Hood. It has colorful, imaginative illustrations that flow nicely with the story. I’ve read several books by Lois Wickstrom and it always surprises me how wonderfully she weaves learning in with a fun story. She does this so beautifully that you don’t even realize you are being taught science through a story. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!

Can you change a vision or is his fate already sealed? Ian Troy has lost so much and fought so hard for so many, but it seems, no matter what he does, fate has other ideas. This fight just keeps getting bigger. All of Mirra’kelan will have to unite if they have any chance of thwarting the new self-appointed emperor. (This is so hard to talk about without giving away spoilers, so I’m going to stop there and tell you to read it and explore this series for yourself.)
This is an amazing, fast-paced, action-packed read. There are so many amazing plot twists that some will definitely take you by surprise and keep you guessing. C.L. Schneider’s writing style is so descriptive and imaginative that you feel as if you’re transported into the book. And her characters, can I just say wow, especially Ian Troy, he’s so complex, detailed, and imaginative. Along with good verses evil, this book mixes in lore, history, magic, and other fantasy aspects that are woven so incredibly well together. This was the first series I’d ever read by C.L. Schneider, but I know it won’t be my last. If you love fantasy, great characters, and a whole lot of action, then you really need to check out this series. I’m honestly sad this is the third and last book in the series.

Magic-Price is not my first by C.L. Schneider and she is currently climbing higher and higher on my list of favorite authors to read. When Magic-Price first starts it plunges you straight into the action, directly into the middle of an immense battle in which the main character makes a decision, and makes some choices to utilize his magic while turning the tides of the battle with dire consequences. Ian Troy is a man of Shinree descent that is specially bred as the ideal magic weilder but is taken advantage of repeatedly, I did feel bad for him. The magic system was easy to understand, the world building was done well, and I think this book would please many high fantasy lovers immensely. As someone else mentioned it reminds me a little bit of The Witcher but is definitely a book that stands out on its own. I really enjoyed it.

A Spot of Earl Slay is the first book in the Tea Time Troubles series. I chose to read it simply off the name and cover art. I thought it was very cleaver and it sounded interesting. It is the first time I have read this author, and I am impressed. I was pulled in instantly, and kept engaged throughout. I love the characters and the quick connection they have with each other. Ella is hilarious, Naomi is brave and strong, and Barbara and Ingrid are super entertaining. They seem like they have a lot of history, and I liked hearing bits and pieces revealed. The ending was left a mystery, and I was no where near solving who the murderer was. That being said, I struggled with so many secondary characters. I am not sure I kept them all straight. Everyone seems to be related to someone else. In true small town way. It took me a while to mentally outline who everyone was to make the ending click. I look forward to the rest of the series. It was a quick cozy mystery that I enjoyed.

Incredible, satisfying ending to a great series that I am very glad I picked up. C.L. Schneider has become a top author for me and I love that she is an independent author. She never fails to pull me into a book, sink her claws in, and have me on a wild, crazy ride to the finish. I’ve really enjoyed this series and I will absolutely keep reading more books by her. If you enjoy fantasy, smooth writing, great world building, great, strong, well fleshed out characters, and well built magic systems you should definitely give this series a try!

The Crown of Stones: Magic- Scars is the second book in the dark fantasy series by C.L. Schneider. I suggest you read this series in order as there is a lot of information, developments, and backstory in each book.
Much like the first book, this second installment is also written from the first person point of view, allowing us to see what all Ian Troy, our main character, experiences as he tries to piece together his memories and acclimate to the new world he finds himself in after leaving capture. In book one he distanced himself from everyone, fearing his magic, but now he must retrieve it and harness it to help the resistance and beat his enemy. Can he overcome his fears, addictive tendencies, and stop blaming himself long enough to accomplish all he needs to? This action-packed book is definitely one that will keep your attention and keep you wanting more. I’m really enjoying this series and can’t wait to read the next installment.

5 Stars Operation Escape (Space Force Rejects Book 2) by Landra Graf
Operation Escape is the second book in the Space Force Rejects series and is a Sci-Fi Romance that I absolutely loved reading. I pretty much read in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. I recommend reading the previous book if you haven’t already as it gives you a better understanding what is going on and you get to know the characters better plus who doesn’t love a great series. The author does a wonderful job of grabbing your attention keeping it till the end. The characters are easily connectable and fun. They bring the story to life in this fast paced story.i highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens when a simple mission on planet Earth is being held prisoner. I can’t wait to read more from this Author.

This is the third book in this series. Please make sure you read the first two. We are back in the world with our leading fae Queen Titania. I am always immediately captivated by this author’s storytelling. She does a wonderful job building a fantasy world. Our queen has many tasks bestowed upon her. This is the third book in the series and they just keep getting better! I absolutely love Titania’s character and cannot get enough of her. Luckily the author released a third book in the series for us to enjoy! She has so much weighing on her shoulders as always. Not only is she having to protect her people she is having to meet with potential suitors. This as you know is the last thing she wants to do. Maybe she is really the prophesied one that will end all evil with the luck she is having. A new character is introduced and I actually felt second hand embarrassment for the first time ever for a character. As in the first 2 books this one will keep you on your toes and make you want to be able to read uninterrupted. It will also make you feel all of the emotions. I absolutely love this series and crave more of Titania’s story. This is definitely a series you should read in order to fully be engrossed in the Fae world!

The final installment in this trilogy did not disappoint. The final book will pull on your heart as the war pushes on and so many are lost. Ian Troy knows what he must do in order to save the Shinree and his friends. The book takes you along adventures of survival and hope wish an ending that beings everything full circle.

To be a Fae Legend is the third book in the Realm Chronicles series. The stories are best read in order, so if you’re new to this series go back and read To be a Fae Queen (which I described as enjoyable, magical and vibrant when I read it a couple of years ago!) first. And if you’ve read the other books, you’ll already know you’re in for a treat!
This is a great series for teen readers who love fairy stories and fantasy adventures! There are some fantastic characters with relationships complicated by rank, responsibilities and conflicting loyalties. It was great to see more of my favourite character, Alfreda! Often the MVP, in my opinion… Titania’s development over the series has been good, she’s much more diplomatic and able to cope with situations that would have been too anxiety-inducing before, but is still true to herself and those she loves.
This is another 5-star read for me! I couldn’t wait to read it as soon as it came out and it didn’t disappoint. If you’ve enjoyed the rest of the series, you’ll love this!

Once again this author has put together an exciting and riveting book. The next book follows Ian Troy who was presumed to be dead but is alive and well and fighting to beat Draken and his father Jem. There wasn’t a moment that didn’t keep my attention with the constant twists. Old and new characters come together to save the kingdom and ultimately retrieve the crown of stones. This will leave you on the edge your seat laughing, crying, and everything in between.

This book had me hooked from the very beginning and didn’t let go till the end. Full of wonderful twists and turns. Shanessa Gluhm’s writing style has depth to it unlike some, it flows. You feel like your there in the story. The characters are great and very well developed. If you love a good psychological thriller, then you definitely will want to read this book.

A whimsical spin on a classic tale! Little Red is searching for the perfect flowers to bring to Granny for tea when she runs into the wolf, who says he can help. When she arrives at Granny’s she realizes something is not quite right. With her scientific skills and quick thinking, she comes up with the perfect plan to save the day! I love books my kids can enjoy with a fun storyline and some learning thrown in! What a fun tale that encourages learning!
Can you ever outrun your past? Will the things you’ve seen and done haunt you for the rest of your life along with her memory? These are all things our main character, Ian Troy, is pondering as he tries to live some semblance of life. He is a Shinree, a race who can use magic, which can become addictive and dangerous, since magic always comes with a price. That’s why he shies away from pretty much everyone thinking he’s protecting them from him and the magic inside of him.
C.L. Schneider has written a gritty, descriptive, and action-filled book. I really liked the first person point of view as it helped me connect with the character and see life through new eyes.

This book was cute. It was fun reading about Lila and the poncho with three neck holes. It is a story about friendship and how friends need to pull together in times of need. It is a good story and I think it provides insight for children on how to cope with bullying and friends. I recommend this book to anyone who has children who enjoy reading.

I enjoyed this book. It is a nice take on the old fairy tale. I enjoyed Red’s research on different flowers and she was trying to find the flower her grandmother loved. The story is cute and fun. I recommend to anyone with children who like to read.

“The Innovater”, is book 3 of the WaterFyre Rising series and like this novels two predecessors, the author Nadia Han, knocked this one out of the ball park.
Natalie LaRue has recently moved to the states and taken a job way under her normal pay grade l in hopes of solving a mystery surrounding a property that her father purchased before his recent death. Grayson Wu is a top notch architect just trying to get a project of his off the ground and running but is having a hard time getting his hands on the means to. All the while dealing with his Uncle betraying his family in the worst possibly way and trying to heal his heart from the damage and distrust resulting from this. The last thing he needs is the infuriating Natalie taking up more space in his head, but she’s to distracting to not linger on.
I believe that this book could be read as a stand-alone but I recommend reading the first two books before this too help you get the whole picture, each book builds a little more and you can tell that things are coming to a head soon.
I love the relationship, the angsty, cat and mouse, enemies to lovers feel to this book. Natalie is so strong and brave and proud and just wants answers. I admire the strength her character shows in this book. Grayson is also a strong character, his stubbornness frustrated me for a while but the healing that he goes through in this book and his growth is *chefs kiss* wonderful. Both of these characters are well rounded and made for each other. I feel like this author might be becoming a favorite of mine, I like the thought and effort put into her work, the world and character building is terrific. The slow burn of this series as it picks up steam is a wonderful change of pace.

Little Red is a young girls who loves to visit her Grandma, she enjoys learning about wildflowers, her teachings on how to be a detective and receiving the jumpers her grandma knits, so when her Grandma calls inviting her round to be measured up for a new one, Little Red can’t wait, especially when her Grandma asks her to pick some cone glowers for blending a tea on the way.
As she travels to her Grandma’s she encounters a wolf who gives her some advice on which flowers she will need which stops her in her tracks so that she can check the flowers in her identification book, so when she gets to her Grandma’s house, she knows something is wrong, but how can she scientifically prove her assumption with her detective skills?
This is a charming retelling of a popular tale with a modern twist which is a wonderful book for all ages to enjoy.
Magic-Borne is the third and final book in The Crown of Stones trilogy. Ian Troy is fighting to fix the glimpse into the tragic future that he foresaw five years ahead. As events start playing out like he was foretold he doesn’t know if his presence will be enough to change it. Is his future set-in stone? Will he be enough to stop his father and finally destroy the crown of stones?
This book is even darker than the previous two due to the intensity of the story. The twist and turns had me devouring this book. I loved this epic trilogy and highly recommend it.

Magic-Price is the first in the trilogy of The Crown of Stones series. This book is a must read, once you get halfway through you will be unable to put it down. It starts out with Ian Troy making a terrible mistake that weighs heavy on his soul. Even though it has been ten years since the tragic event where he took the lives of many. When I first started reading it, I got ‘The Witcher’ vibes due to him having a magic horse, white hair, and is set in a similar time period. He is a badass that fights for what he believes is right. After getting further into the story it developed into its own and I was unable to put the book down due to all the revelations. I can’t wait to read the next book Magic-Scars as the ending leaves you wanting more.
I highly recommend reading Magic-Price if you love epic high fantasy. Where the main character is not perfect and is trying to atone for his prior sins. There is magic, love, friendship, and forgiveness.
