A Spot of Earl Slay is the first book in the Tea Time Troubles series. This is my first book by this author, and I look forward to reading more in this series. We are introduced to Naomi and Ella Front, who are new to Fayette. Upon their arrival at their new home, they are greeted with more than they expected. After discovering a corpse on their property, they quickly meet their new neighbors, Barbara and Ingrid.
As the cozy mystery progresses, we get to meet a lot of quirky characters, learn about the relationships in this small town, and more. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I first got drawn in by the book’s name but quickly enjoyed it more than expected. After reading this book, I look forward to getting the next book in this fun, cozy series.
