This is the first book in the Magic and Heartache series. This is a short story at only 96 pages long but it was action packed and i loved every part of it.
This is a paranormal romance with a mixture of magical beings and a coffee shop with an added touch of something special in each drink.
One of the owners is Jordan. She loves her coffee shop and how it brings everybody together but there’s one thing she doesn’t like and that’s her ex and his new lover showing up at her work everyday.
As much as she hates to see them she can’t tell them to never return.
There is one person that brightens her day and that is Cane.
When Cane approaches her to help him with a spell to see the future for her ex and his new partner at first Jordan doesn’t want to help. However the more she learns of the ritual, and the opportunity to see more of Cane proves to be the thing that seals the deal.

What happens when they get a more intimate knowledge of each other? Will the spark between them explode into a fire or will it sizzle out? And is Jordan even ready to move on? Will she lose her chance at love again by still being hung up on her ex?

For a short story this packs so much into it and I can’t wait to read more in this series.
