This was a great continuation of a good series. I can say that normally I am not a fan of novellas because they end rather quickly for my liking. However, I feel like this gave more insight into the characters that we came to know through the Crown Series. I’m not an author of any kind and I could only hope to pull something as imaginative as this series and put in down on paper for millions of people to read. Even though this can be read on its own it does make references to what happens in Crown of Stones so you may want to read those first. I leave that up to each reader though to so as they so choose.
