Atonement (The McIntire County Series Book 1) by Winter Austin. This author has quickly become one of my favorites so I was excited to start this new series. I was not disappointed. It was a great book, I can’t wait for the next one. It’s the story of Deputy Nic Rivers who has a lot of baggage to overcome. She is a former Marine Sniper with a bad case of PTSD and now she is having to deal with murders in her small town. Her dad is a retired General and that comes with its whole set of issues for her. Seeing her friends in the Marines murdered and completing suicide is enough for her to need therapy but add all the other stuff and she has lots of issues. When she is partnered with Detective Con O’Hanlon sparks fly on his side. He is smitten and determined to wear Nic down. Working together they become very close and realize that they are very compatible. Will they be able to solve the case before more murders take place and will they be able to keep everyone safe in this sleepy little town? Read this awesome Romantic Suspense to find out!
