Chasing Cheer (Emerald Hollow Book 1) by Heather Schneider – Review by Kerry Carr

Chasing CheerChasing Cheer by Heather Schneider

This is a sweet romcom read set in the festive season. It has all the things you associated with Christmas right down to the chemistry and romance of 2 people who shouldn’t work but do.
This has everything I love about a festive romance and i was more than content to curl up with a hot chocolate and lose myself in this magical story
Holly Claus is always moving around trying to find enough cheer to power the north Pole. For some reason what she collects does last as long as when her father collected and she doesnt know why. She is always leaving to find a place with cheer. When she comes across a little place called Emerald Hallow she finds more cheer than she imagined and also something she didn’t expect to find.
Ash is a business owner who fears his small town is losing people. Determined to change that and make Emerald Hallows and tourist attraction one more he enters the town into a competition for the best Christmas Faire. Little does he realise its not just tourists that he attracts to the town.

When Holly and Ash meet there is definately a spark and the chemistry builds between them. However Holly isn’t looking for romance and Ash doesn’t want to be with someone who has to leave. Is there a way for them both to get what they want? Could a Christmas magic help Holly keep the cheer in the North Pole and be with Ash?

When all the cheer causes problems in the North Pole causing Christmas itself to be at stake Holly knows she needs to get to the bottom of it.

This is a very sweet story filled with romance and holiday cheer. I loved the author’s writing and the characters were amazing and so likeable. This story had definately got me in a festive mood with all the talk of reindeer, elves, North Pole and delicious hot chocolate. It was a story I got lost in and was transported away to that magical time of year.
