The Mating Haze (Long Claw Pride) by Brooke May – Review by Rebeca Elliott Figueiras
The Mating Haze by Brooke May
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The is another book in the Long Claw Pride series, this time following Laramie and Trigger’s story.
Once again, another unique element is added to the series in the form of the mating haze. It put blinders on making Laramie act out of character.
Laramie is usually sensible but currently isn’t and Trigger has blind faith in his family, both of which could lead to disaster.
I enjoyed how it was Trigger who was the one who had mainly grown up in the human world, this was a different take as many of the books I have read, it is the female character which takes this role.
The characters are likeable and you can’t help but root for them, wanting a happily ever after.
Once again, the author’s writing flows well and the descriptive narrative paints vivid imagery of both characters and scenery. I felt like I could step into the story following the twists alongside the characters.
Another enjoyable book in the series, I can’t wait for more!
