This was a great steamy 5 star read. I really liked these two characters. Their story drew you right in. He was the star football player and she is a determined student. As these two spend time together, you can feel the chemistry growing. And of course we had some drama with people who don’t support their relationship. The shadows are darker this year and everything leads to more questions. This is the third book in the Grave Digger Academy (GDA) and yes, to get a full understanding of the story, plot, characters it is best to read them in order as each book is a continuation of the events in the previous book. Makayla’s actions in the previous book led to extremes on both sides. Her family name is now well known and Grave Digger Academy is no longer seen as the end of the road but where heroes go. So much hype leads to her older brothers escorting her to school this year and discovering the terrifying journey just to reach the grounds. Only not hearing from her friends or her helpers all break is just the beginning. The gargoyles that are ever present watching the entrance of the school are missing, something Makayla notices immediately. Moreover, there are even fewer students this year than before, teachers and students disappearing, including Frankie. While Griffin has reappeared his words from previous books about them forgetting him Makayla is able to hold on to a feeling of him not quite a memory but its something. Some see her as a hero, but others think she is working for the other side, regardless of the fact she has handed over the stones each time. The Crones have plans for her and Headmistress Mary Meet, they seem determined to make both go down with GDA good or bad to the very end, not allowing them the same deal as others to transfer out. Visions attack her from the moment she steps on the school grounds, her brothers shocked and confused but with no choice forced to return to their own school. Will Makayla succeed in finding everyone that disappeared? Where are her helpers? If she wins what will be the price? Once again, the incredible C.A. Unable to put it down from start to finish it always leaves me needing more answers when I finish feeling like it wasn’t long enough. Heart racing as I hurry to book four, Grave Digger Academy IV. The suspense continues.

This is an adorable short chapter book with age appropriate text. The illustrations are simple, yet engaging to keep youth interested in the story. Dylan is an enjoyable kid that uses his mail-order detective kit to help out his neighbor. The story also has learning opportunities about problem solving built in the plot. The book also has useful information on the back for teachers who want to use this story in the classroom. It’s a well rounded story.

Almost and Forever: An Emotional Second Chance at Love Romance
I have so many emotions going in right now. I just finished reading this book and oh my goodness. I so enjoyed the book and love Adam & Hope.
I thankfully was unable to relate to Adam but he really made my heart for him as he deals with the loss. He doesn’t handle things in the best way but grief makes you do stupid stuff.
Hope had a great job, friends and family. Doesn’t have a lot of baggage and is overall a happy person. She and Adam seem to be in the right place at the right time starting on New Years and cross paths a few times over the course of a few months.
I have read at least one other book by Ms. Parker which I enjoyed. I will be reading more by her in the future.

Such a cute, festive read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading Lizzie’s story. Poor girl has just lost her job, her room mate is moving out, and her parents think she’s a failure. Then, an opportunity to go to Australia comes up and Lizzie can’t resist! I don’t blame her for going and seeing sights and cheering herself up over some pretty bad circumstances. She takes it all in stride though and meets Jaz. This Christmas just might be the best ever!

Grave Digger Academy III by C. A. King is part of the series of the same name. All books should be read in order as they follow Makayla during her years at the academy. Mckayla is in for another crazy year. When she gets back to school and realizes that almost no one is back, no one is allowed to transfer in or out. She is confined to the school, not allowed to leave, stricter rules, and still basically no magic. That is until she’s forced into the woods to find a new helper. As she’s told to find normal. However, we are finding out that Makayla is anything but normal. I’m enjoying this series. I missed Makayla and her ways. I like that she was finally able to learn some magic. I have a feeling shes going to be much more powerful than she ever thought. I’m looking forward to seeing as her power shifts and what sort of things she is able to do.

This is book three in this series. I typically don’t like reading a series until it’s completely finished, but I’ve made an exception with this young adult series. It’s well written, great characters and an awesome fantasy world.

This was a really sad book I don’t know if my pregnancy hormones made it worse. Even though it’s sad it’s still a really good book and I highly recommend reading it. It shows how much you will do for someone you love. Even if you know you can’t have forever. It also shows how much you can heal when you open up to somebody.

Makayla is back at Grave Digger Academy for another school year. She is looking forward to seeing her friends and helpers but the Crones have other plans. It looks like the year is going to be different than she planned. When she arrives at school nothing is how she thought it would be including her friends. Even the headmistress does not know how to fix things. And as time passes it looks like Makayla is pretty much on her own except for the help of some new friends that are introduced in this book. There are some great plot twists that I didn’t see coming in this one. I read this one way faster than I meant to and am definitely looking forward to book 4!

My god this was such a beautiful book! Heartbreaking but beautiful! The character development, the angst, the sadness…I literally loved every page! It made me feel! It made me cry. I love when words on paper can bring tears to my eyes! In my opinion that means it’s beautifully written if you can bring that much emotion out of me. I highly encourage you to read this if you don’t mind a tear jerker!

This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. I never hesitate to pick up one of this author’s books. I enjoy their writing skills and their attention to details that make their story pop. The characters are full of heart and romance. This book is no different. This is a well written story about Callahan and Jamalca. One is a player and the other just doesn’t have time for games or one hot football player. I enjoyed how they pulled me into their story. They are strong, connectable characters that kept me engaged until the end. I enjoyed what they brought to the story and their chemistry is off the charts. Their growth throughout is one you don’t want to miss. This is a fast paced, romance story that is hard to put down and easy to read. I enjoyed the entertainment these two gave me. I really enjoyed reading this book. I highly recommend this book.

First things first I would like to say that this is the 5th book in the Blood and Sand series and it shows. The synopsis did make it seem like you would be ok to read this as a standalone but I feel like I would have been better informed to what is going on and better introduced to the characters if I had read the previous books. I suggest reading the previous books before you read this one.
The book starts off with Devon confronting her father for how he treated her when she was younger. Now that she is in a loving relationship with her 4 boyfriends, she feels strong enough to be able to do this. Her father sold her like she was nothing.
Now Devon and the crowd have a chance to get revenge on the man her father sold her to, she just had to play it safe and get intel without getting caught. If she is caught, no way would she make it out alive this time.
The book alternates between different characters point of view which made it really difficult for me to follow along since this was the first book in the series which I have read. From what I did read though, I liked the plot. I also liked how even though both sets of groups were a relationship of 5, each had their own personality and their own relationship with the woman. Sometimes it was one on one, sometimes more. The men had depth to them which was nice instead of the same old stock characters a lot of reverse harem books take on. The only thing I did not like though was for a reverse harem, I would have expected more romance and less vulgar talking. To each their own.

This book is the companion story to Where the Ocean Meets the Sky and is a great book. For me, this book was even more about the characters than the other story and I found myself connecting with Cal all over again. I really became invested in his story. It is emotional and compelling to read. This author has a knack for writing books that are full of angst and really draw you in. I ever fail to enjoy one of their books and these companion stories are no exception. They are worth the time it would take to read them.

This book is exactly what I now expect when I read a book by this author. It is full of emotions and angst, covering sensitive topics with ease. The characters were well developed and each had so much going on with them. The depth of their journeys is part of what pulled me in to start off with. It is easy to see why they are so well suited for each other, despite all of the hurdles they have to overcome. I thought the author did a great job with this story. It is the companion book to The Ocean in his Veins but can be read as a standalone. It was well written from start to finish and a really enjoyable book. I would definitely recommend both this and the companion story.

I can say this was a very interesting read and in a very good way. Was I hesitant due to how many pages this book was…Yes. Was I happy I gave it a chance and turned the pages with an open mind… again Yes.
Western mystery, danger, gangs, intrigue with some romance, I did really enjoy this story. I felt like I was brought back in the western ages of time and the author did a great deal of storytelling and the attention to detail I also appreciated.
Fenimore James wants to explore and dream to more in life than where is at. With some money in his pocket he heads out West and wants to be known as Simon Shaw. When outlaws come with a gang run by Red Evans, Simon decides to join up….believing this is what he wants. When bloodshed is spilled, maybe being an outlaw is not what it may be cracked up to be. With someone out there deciding to kill gang members….everyone is suspicious. Who is committing these crimes? With Fenimore aka Simon Shaw also finds an attraction to another gang member….will they be safe or will it cost them in their own bloodshed….
I would definitely recommend this book….be patient….but a very good read all together.

Oh, how I loved this story. Callahan and Jamaica have the chemistry. He knows it. She knows it but doesn’t want to acknowledge that he’s her type. That irritating twit, Torey and the Jersey Chasers just keep getting the way along with Callahan’s teammates. I loved watching this relationship develop. The little blurb of hearing Balefire’s music didn’t go unnoticed. Nice mention there. This was a nice, fun and entertaining college romp that stomped prejudices. Jamaica found out that Callahan had brains. The story is a fantastic read. I didn’t want to put it down. I kept waiting for Jamaica to stab Torey with a pen from her hair. Like Callahan, I wanted to know how many writing utensils were hidden in her hair. The characters were quirky, unique and sometimes just plain dorks. This is a fun romp with a little steam. The library steam had my glasses fogging. Well done!

This book has some twist and turns. It was a great book. It’s a duet two strong stories in one. Winter was back and trying to work through all her trauma that she held. She has a trial hearing for her mom who killed her sister. Shane is the guy that always has one thing happen to him after another. He was facing charges for hitting a guy. Winter sees Shane and thinks he is soo cute, but Shane remembers what she did to him when they were younger.

4.5 stars Finding the End Zone is the first book steamy in the Game Time series. It is a new adult sports romance tale. I have enjoyed every book I have read by Tam and this one is no different. It is written in multiple POV which makes the story that much more interesting because you get to see inside the characters which makes the story fuller. It’s easy to fall for the characters and enjoy their journey. It is a contemporary romance, with love, drama, humour, emotion and angst. Sparks fly in this sexy, hot, seductive, passionate and intense tale. Callahan is a star player both on and off the field but when she walks into his life, she is all he sees. Sassy and independent Jamaica has one thing on her mind and that is her education. When she finds herself with the star football player for a project, she doesn’t have time for his antics. All though I am new to this series or even the writer!!! I will say that this was an interesting read for sure. With the thought process that went into the writing, the imagination and the passion that Marcel Leimant used I am thoroughly impressed. This alone made for an enjoyable book even with the slow start. This was not generally one I normally would have chosen but Oden and his daughter definitely had an adventure ahead of them. The other characters made me think of Greek mythology and I will say that is what kept me drawn to it. I would like to eventually see what becomes of this writer and his characters.

This is a beautifully written second chance romance. The author covers some topics in this book which maybe hard for some readers such as grief, dealing with grief and the anger and pain that is caused by losing a loved one. This book really tugs at the heart strings and the characters are so well written and developed that you can’t help feeling all the emotions they go through. As well as being a story about loss it is also a story about hope and healing and how finding the right person can help you through anything life throws at you no matter how big or small.
Hope and Adam meet several times. The first time they were both in relationships but they couldn’t ignore the chemistry between them. The next time they meet Adam was struggling with the loss of a loved one and Hope was struggling to find the love she has been craving. Adams loss has left him filled with anger and hurt and he has closed himself off from people but when he sees Hope being harassed by some guy he can’t help but step in. Both of them realise that something is bringing them together over and over again but are they prepared to take the risk of putting their hearts on the line again?
This is a beautiful story. As you read your heart will break for the characters but as you carry on their story and they start to heal each other you can feel that sense of healing coming through to heal you as well. I enjoyed this heartfelt emotional story

There is just enough romance and humor in this story. I love how the main characters interact with each other from the beginning to the end. There is a lot of growth development with each character. Also, the minor characters are very well placed in certain parts of the story to help the main characters out. Overall, the story is very well put together and is very easy to read and will definitely take you from reality for a few hours.

This was a sweet story of someone finding themself after a tough time. I enjoyed getting to know Devorah through her own eyes. She went on a journey to get herself out of an abusive relationship and what sounded like a tumultuous childhood. I have to admit, that the story doesn’t seem far fetched for the “stars of California” as it reminds me of the many reality shows on tv these days. Devorah has several people in her corner – her stepmom, cat Fergie, new friend Andrew, old friend Pauline and Misty. I loved that for her. They each gave her a bit of strength to heal and become who she is meant to be. PS. Her ex – UGH!

I loved this book so much. It’s about a boy who is trying to win a contest with his buttermilk biscuits. It teaches some important lessons such as staying positive and to keep going. It is beautifully illustrated and not to mention the fun recipe included at the end! It was a great idea and also encourages children’s interest in cooking. One of my favorites in my collection!

This is a beautifully illustrated self-help book and journal. Most people are walking around with a gaping hole in their heart. We try to hide the pain, put a band-aid on it, but rarely do we do the inner work to heal our pain. Unfortunately, no one can do this for you. It is a journey you make on your own. I encourage everyone who needs healing to get this book and read through it. Do the work even if it seems silly at first.

This book was so suspenseful. I can’t give enough praise about this entire series. This author really nailed it with these 4 cousins and their stories. Shane and Winter see eachother at the coffee shop and are instantly attracted to eachother. They have a past that Winter doesn’t seem to be able to remember until close to the ending. Winter lost her entire family as a child. Her dad died, her sister died, and he mom is in prison. Her mom is looking for an early release but even if isn’t granted, she’s only got 2 years left. Someone has stalking Winter and leaving her scary threatening notes. Winter and Shane have a mutual attraction. Shane tries to remember what type of Person Winter was but that was a long time ago. Maybe she has changed…become nicer..He still plans for payback Shane has had a rough go these last few months. His luck doesn’t seem to be changing. I cannot wait for the final Book in this series but I also hate for it to end.

The Truth About Myths (The Winemakers Book 3) by Giovanna Siniscalchi. This is such a good Historical romance, I really enjoyed it. Its the story of Princess Isabel who is very rigid almost to the point of being a prude but when she goes to Spain with Viscount Henrique she is very enthralled by him. He is so sexy and everything she has tried to stay away from. Henrique is tasked with taking Isabel who is his best friends sister and he is not looking forward to it. He is known for being a rake and not being faithful but when he gets to know Isabel he thinks she might be able to change his ways. Isabel is so rigid and wants to do what is right for her country and Henrique is all about living life to the fullest. He does admire Isabel and the chemistry between them is remarkable. The author’s description of the beautiful scenery made me feel as if I was transported to Spain and Portugal. This can be read as a standalone as well.

Slay It With a Diamond (Diamond District Mystery Book 3) by Rob Bates. This is my first read by this author but it won’t be my last. It’s the 3rd book in the Diamond District series but can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed it. Its a fast paced mystery that will have you flipping pages until you finish. Its the story of Max Rosen a diamond dealer in New York when he is offered to purchase a cursed diamond he buys it because he doesn’t believe in curses. When the wife of the jeweler who sole him the diamond ends up dead he has second thoughts about curses. Mimi is Max’s daughter and she’s an investigative journalist so she decides to investigate the death of the dealers wife. What she finds is a dangerous world of diamond dealings that is as cutthroat as it gets! Will Mimi come out of this investigation alive? She tends to be really impulsive and the danger she is dealing with is not to be handled lightly. Such a good fast paced mystery.

Such a great book for young readers getting into chapter books. I recommend for younger elementary students. The story is easy to follow along, has adventure and wonderful characters, you get a little pov of their dog. I know kids who have siblings will relate with the relationship between Dylan and his sister Emily. I feel the story introduces the right amount of characters for kids to try to guess who took the mail and the illustrations go really well with the chapters. The author also includes a link through TeachersPayTeachers for teachers or homeschoolers to check out some worksheets to go along with the book. There’s also a list of high frequency words in the end, I really like they included educational resources.

One can never go wrong reading a Holiday’s romance story, and this one is no exception! I fell in love with this book because it was based around a romance writer who was in a writers block due to romance issues of his own. It was definitely a relatable situation that brought me into the book and didn’t let me go. While the author does add additional whimsy outside of what may happen in most peoples lives, it is definitely important to remember that this is a story. Chelsea Lauren certainly has an act for not shying away from real life problems though, such as abuse and addiction. Please keep this in my prior to choosing to read the book. Even though it has a few triggering events, the story was remarkable and shows that love can still exist after heartache.
