Each and every book in the Hidden Valley Elite Series has been better than the last. The series finale is absolutely no different, it was the absolute best that I read and I hate that it was the last in the series. I have grown to love this series and really don’t want that to end. This story also wraps up the story of Winter and Shane. Their story is so complicated and filled with twists and turns. I really do not want to reveal much, other than to say that this is the most fantastic book in the series by far. I definitely am sad to see it end, but I will be sending more and more readers to it. It is that kind of book!

This is a fantastic addition to the Echo Series. In this story, we see Curtis who has run into some trouble and needs protection. He also happens to be the guitarist of a famous band. Lina happens to work for private security now, but has a military past. Lina and Curtis have some chemistry between them so when they have to flee together it makes their chemistry become hard to deny. But they both have issues that will keep them from acting on it. This author does a fantastic job in developing the characters and making the suspense and tension completely palpable. Curtis becomes a much more realistic and likable character and I enjoyed watching Lina soften up around Curtis. The chemistry between them jumps off the page and the author pairs this with fantastic suspense. I definitely recommend picking this book up!

What a sweet story. It shows that you can learn to love someone. That being totally selfless is possible. That when times are hard you have to rely on your people. I found myself immersed into this story and wanting more.
We follow the journey of Dorothy as she travels from Va on to the Oregon Trail, in hopes to meet up with her sister. Dorothy is a widow and shortly into her journey she is faced with decisions she didn’t think she’d have to make again. She didn’t want to make them again. This is where we see how times have changed for traveling as a woman. But back then it was rough going and not ideal, let alone advised for a woman to travel alone.
Elias is a man of God and is about to travel West to bring the word of God to as many people as he can. When a dire situation leaves him with no funds and no way to continue his travel. That is until Dorothy saves him, in more than one way.

Kasper is a crime boss set on taking down and then merging the two crime families as one with him as leader. He goes to stay at a cabin for a bit to hide out until things cool down. When a strange man who is purple with chartreuse eyes shows up, Kasper has no idea if he was sent by the families or if he is the alien he claims to be. Aliens aren’t real are they? Clearly this man was sent to be a distraction. Kasper ties him up and decides to keep a close eye on him until he can decide if he is sent to kill him or not.
Leilphun was about to be sent into the arena’s as punishment on his home planet and decides to escape to Earth only to find himself bound by an attractive human named Kasper. Somehow Kasper accidentally betrothed himself to Leilphun and Leilphun decides that he will protect this human. When Kasper’s enemies come to eliminate him, Leilphun is quick to defend Kasper.
Kasper decides that Leilphun is not a threat and decides to go with the flow when it comes to the betrothal. He can’t have any distractions when it comes to his ultimate goal. Too bad he all of a sudden has an alien fiance.
I have said this before and I will say it again. I love Naomi Valkyrie! Their writing is so unique that I love everything they have written. The author always provides a unique plot with unheard of character romance that you can’t help but fall in love with everything written. The book is a very quick read but is packed full of action. I highly recommend it!

Recipe For Revenge: An Unputdownable Small Town Cozy Murder Mystery is the second book in the An April May Cozy Mystery Book series. I read this before the previous book, and it holds up fairly well as a standalone. I was missing some details and insight into April May, but I did not feel lost in the plot. This is a small-town cozy mystery with a cast of fun characters. I enjoyed getting to know April May, her dog, and reading about her blossoming relationship. She gets into some dangerous situations but figures her way out. I won’t give details about the plot because nothing is worse than spoilers, especially with a murder mystery. I recently read a different book by this author and thought I would check out a different series. I enjoyed the characters and the plot. I will keep an eye out for more from this author in the future.

This is the first book in the Jade series. And wow what a read. This book has so many elements that I love in a romance. It had a strong alpha male, attraction that is off the charts, 2 Wounded souls desperately trying to heal, there is a bit of a forbidden element as well as Naseer is from a wealthy background and Jade is from the opposite but they work so well together. This is Jade and Naseers story. Naseer is a rich and popular alpha male, he has the world at his feet, he could date any woman he wanted and his life was on a upward track that is until a accident left him trapped in a bed. His life was spiraling out of control and he was contemplating not wanting to be here anymore that is until he meets Jade.
Jade is going through a traumatic time at the moment. With the loss of her parents she is struggling to find her way in her new life and new school. Struggling with grief and finding a way to work through it the last thing she wanted or expected was to find love and especially not with someone who is as horrible, moody and self centered as Naseer is.
These two people are just 2 broken souls each dealing with their own traumas and the effects that is having in their life’s but what is so beautiful is how much more peace they feel when they are together. This is a beautiful moving story filled with ups and downs, highs and lows as they both come to terms with their new lives and what it actually means for them. With all the odds stacked against them do they even stand a chance? I can’t wait to see how this series will progress and how the the relationship between Naseer and Jade changes and develops.
I love a good mafia character, so was looking forward to reading this. I thought this was an original concept and I was invested beginning to end. I enjoyed the story running in the background as well, not just the romance blossoming between Leilphun and Kasper, it added more depth and complexity to the story and was another point of interest. It’s now one of my favourites this genre. I enjoyed experiencing Leilphun and Kasper coming together, learning each other’s mannerisms and coming into their own. I especially loved Leilphun’s character development, it was great to see him really come into his own as a warrior in his desire to defend and protect Kasper.

Naomi is definately a favourite author of mine and I have read lots of her work. What I particularly loved about this story is the fact that I wasn’t sure how it was going to turn out. This is a M/M romance and there was danger from the beginning from the crime bosses fighting for control, and also the danger of Leilphun being in a world that for an alien being could be really unsafe if he gets with the wrong people. For a time i was concerned that Kasper was just going to use Leilphun for his abilities and help further his fight to take over the criminal underworld. But as the story progressed it was easy to see that there was more between them, especially with how Leilphun channelled his warrior to protect Kasper. I don’t want to give too much away but it is a story that gripped me from the beginning and didn’t let go.
It is another great captivating read from one of my favourite authors. I have never read a book that I haven’t enjoyed.

This is an author that I have read all of her books and loved each one. Her writing style is such that she brings life to the story and her characters just pop. This book is no different and among my favorites. This is a well written fantasy story that has romance and has a touch of suspense. A story where the characters question their worth and if they are worthy. I enjoyed these characters. They are creative, strong characters that add so much to the story. They made it easy and engaging. A short story that packs a punch and one that I read in one sitting. This is a must read for sure. I enjoyed reading this book and this author. I highly recommend this must read story.

Absolutely stunning and imaginative! This book felt like a work of art! Children Of The Wild by Krysta Tawlks gave me goosebumps the whole way through. Ethereal and vivid with a whole lot of heart! Elbert Dowden is a wonderful protagonist who drives the intense and sometimes painful emotions of the story and is truly unlike anything I’ve read before. Dreamscape (J.J. Morris Mysteries) by J.N. Sheats. This is the second book of this series and I highly recommend reading them in order. Its the story of Joey and the school she attends. Joey just wants to be a normal college student and after what she went thru learning about the paranormal I don’t blame her. When fires start breaking out on campus and Joey doesn’t think much about it but when she realizes Gwen is investigating she starts to wonder if this is some of the supernatural stuff. More fires are breaking out and Joey is having crazy dreams and she’s not sure what’s going on anymore. This book will grab you by the pants and have you on the edge of your seat the whole time. I loved it! Can be read as a standalone but recommend reading the 1st book to better understand this one!
This book is the third in the series and is just as good as the previous books. I loved getting to know a bit more about David and his situation. Watching his connection with Maddie develop was great to see as it felt real and genuine. The story is well written and has a great pace to it. The author always knows exactly what needs to be done to progress the story. I am really enjoying becoming more familiar with this authors work and cannot wait to discover more. This is a great book that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I first read this book when it was released as part of an anthology and when I saw it was being released individually, I had to get it and read it again. This book was just as good for reading the second time and reconnected with the characters immediately. The story is so engaging and exciting to read and I noticed things this time that I missed on my first read through. This author has such a skill for create detailed, interesting and captivating stories that I am happy to read again and again. I loved this book from the moment I started reading it and it only left me wanting more. I would highly recommend everything this author has ever written to any fan of the genre.

The Befallen (The Unsung and The Wolf Duology) by Cambria Williams. This is a great fantasy read. Its the story of Sloane who has a crippled leg and her hometown has been put under a curse. Everyone is fighting each other and everyone has turned into thieves. She is left with no choice but to leave her home and set off in the world. The young knight, Tolvar, meets Sloane and decides to help her try to find a cure for the curse on her town. Sloane wants nothing more than to do something so that she is known for and not just a cripple. Tolvar wants to become a better man too and with Sloane’s help maybe he can do that. This story has adventure, magic, fantasy and mystery. Such a fun adventure!

I really enjoy Naomi Valkyrie’s writing and was excited to get my hands on this one. This is the story of Leilphun, who is exiled from his home planet for standing up for what he believes in, and Kasper, the crime boss who is fighting for what is rightfully his. This is a quick read and definitely feels rushed in places, but I believe that Valkyrie could flush this story out more and really develop the characters and plot line. I really enjoyed this story but wish that it was a little more developed…there is definitely potential here. This is a MM romance and there is allusion to spice, but no direct spiciness. This is a chapter book, but don’t let that deter you from picking it up for your kiddos. It’s a fabulous read-along for littles or a great read for your older kids to read themselves. It’s filled with underwater adventure, finding magic stones, and the Loch Ness monster. As always, Wickstrom weaves important life lessons into her stories for kids to learn and adults to remember. This is a fun, quick read to take you away from cold winter days to the warm tropics. Don’t let the novella size fool you though, this story is packed full of twists, turns, and the unexpected! Daniel is left at the alter with a pair on non-refundable honeymoon tickets that he doesn’t know what to do with. But his best friend Joey does, they are going to take that vacation and have a good time. However, unexpected things happen and things are discovered. Enjoy!

I found this childrens story to be entertaining. I read it to my grandson at bedtime and we had some nice conversations over the adventures of the children and Nessie. The author always has some wonderful lessons to be learned in the story. This was a different story than we were used to reading from this author previously yet we enjoyed it very much. My grandson loved hearing about the Loch Ness Monster after the story and talking about Nessie. He has a big imagination and this author’s story always help kick his imagination into gear even more. I was not aware that there are two to this book. We’ll have to go back and read the other.

The Alien & Crime Boss was a surprising story. A M/M romance that has the alien busting out his inner warrior to protect the crime boss who has found him. I can’t give away too much but it’s a story full of drama, adventure and some out-of-this world romance. These two go through a lot right from the beginning. It’s very interesting to watch this relationship develop because the characters are really from two different worlds. We get to watch them learn what love really is. It’s a good book for those interested in this trope.

Naomi Valkyries new book The Alien & The Crime Boss is a MM alien mafia romance tale. It also features as one of the stories in the anthology Aliens on Earth which is a limited-edition 12 book romance collection by many wonderful new and USA Today bestselling authors. I have read every one of Naomi’s books and there is not one that I have not loved. I love the quirky characters and I enjoy the different stories that Naomi comes up with this is one of my favourites. Leilphun is alone and on the run and walking into a brand-new world was safer than staying. Although Earth welcome wagon is not what he expected. Will his rescuer be his ruin or his salvation? Kasper wants to take over and watching the war means he is on track he just must wait it out. What he didn’t count on was the man he found in the ravine. What he didn’t know was his actions had changed his life. Well worth the read. Do yourself a favour and start reading her work today.

Nessie and the Living Stone is full of magic and wonder. There is much in this book that is different to some of Lois’s other books but there is still the underlying messages and teaching. I really liked the way the cover of this book caught my attention as did the beautiful illustrations. With monsters, precious stones, interesting symbols and ideals for children to learn from this is a wonderful and fun read for children of any age. It was fun to sit and reminisce about my time sitting and looking out over Loch Ness to see if Nessie would show herself. Read along as the children in this story got much more than they bargained for when on the hunt for Nessie.
