This book was really good. Sloane, is a sheltered girl. A lot of people think she cannot do much because she has a disabled leg. She is more than ready to prove herself. The Befallen has killed everyone in her village. She is determined to be the one that defeats him. She teams up with a grump knight, Tolvar. He is reluctant at first to let her join. Together they discover things about the Befallen. Can they defeat him together?
