Managing Mischief is the second book in the Shattered Embrace series by Alyndra Quinn. It is the second book in Ashton and Zachary’s story, so I highly recommend reading the first before diving into this one, as there is important story details, character introductions, and other pertinent information contained there that I think you should know in order to full appreciate this instalment.
In Book #1, we met Ashton as she applies to join an exclusive BDSM club, and she doesn’t realise, until it’s too late, that the CEO of the company she has just been hired to consult for, is also the head of the same BDSM club she has just applied to…. things get interesting very quickly…. Not to mention that he’s also her best friend’s brother…. So in this instalment we get a ‘closer look’ at the ‘club scene’ and all those spicy details. We also get more questions answered that were left hanging from the previous book.
It is a steamy, contemporary romance, with a best friend’s brother element, palpable chemistry, banter, a BDSM club, Dom/sub dynamics, Alpha type male, some angst, spicey encounters, emotion, and a little drama- which made for another engrossing read.
The next instalment, Discovering Desire will give us Derek’s story (Zachary’s brother, who is also Ashton’s best friend). Can’t wait for that.
