The Amanda Mini-Mysteries by Lois Wickstrom – Review by Megan Rea
The Amanda Mini-Mysteries by Lois Wickstrom
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really love the way Wickstrom has introduced science and imagination to children in the Amanda Mini-Series. And it’s exactly what it sounds like…a bunch of short stories about Amanda and her friend Elaine solving mysteries. But not your typical whodunits…these are mysteries of the scientific sort. You can really see Wickstrom’s love for science and children through her writing and I love how relatable the characters are. I would say the audience for this book would be upper elementary. I loved the old-school illustrations too. Fantastic addition to your Wickstrom library!
