Gia is hiding out on a boat from a horrible abusive ex. When the boat owner Kylian finds her she is sure she’s screwed. But Kylian is battling life troubles of his own with a terminally ill mother and a horribly manipulative father. So he strikes up a deal with Gia to fulfill his mom’s dying wish of him finding Love. They fake date in exchange for her having a safe place to sleep. But Kylian’s dad and Gia’s ex make multiple attempts to tear the two apart. I loved the banter, the way Gia fit in with Kylian’s mom and friends, and the twists in the story.
I have been in a horrible reading slump for awhile, trying to find time to read let alone finish books has been hard. But THIS book did it for me. I was hooked from the start and stayed up late into the night finishing it. I loved it and can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.
