Quarterback Keeper: A College Sports Romance (Fall Lake Ballers, Book 1) by Isla Vaughn. This is a great Young adult romance. It’s the story of Kylian a star football player at a University in Chicago and he has his plate full. Kylian’s mom is sick with cancer and the treatments are super expensive but he is determined to get her the best treatments out there. He is also wanting to go Pro but he doesn’t want to do it the way all the Coaches want him to. When he borrows money from his Dad to pay for those treatments he is indebted to his Dad which he hates. Gia is on the run from an abusive boyfriend and she ends up hiding out on a sailboat. Little does she know that sailboat belongs to Kylian and he finds her. Kylian realizes that he can help Gia out and make the deal he had with his mom, which was to find a girl to take care of him after she passes. What he didn’t realize was that Gia comes with a load of drama in her ex boyfriend. Will they be able to make a relationship work with all the outside forces coming their way?
