The Wandering Isles by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
The Wandering Isles: A Crown of Stones Novella (Soulbound Journeys Book 1) by C. L. Schneider a short dark fantasy.
All the pleasant feelings associated with discovering and reading the first book years ago came flooding back to mind as I read about Ian and Jarryd again.
Ian and Jarryd set out towards an unknown island at the start of the novel, where they encountered unusual onlookers and supernatural beings who offered them a “trade”. I was left wondering what their business was, who they were, and captivated by their race because the whole trading thing is a little sketchy and the details are vague. I savored every instant of their interactions with Ian, pausing briefly in wonder.
As a side aside, this could probably be read alone. The author did an excellent job of bringing to mind who these historical figures were and why they were significant. Overall, a really entertaining book.
Every page was exciting and I couldn’t wait to see what would happen. The story really brings excitement into your life. I couldn’t put the book down
