My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the Wretched Soulz MC series. I absolutely adore books by this author. I am always impressed and captivated by the writing and characters. This is a MC romance with characters that have issues and demons that makes them deeper than just an MC club. This is a story filled with danger, angst, treachery, demons of their past and romance.

Chez is the president of the Wretched Soulz MC. As president he lives and dies by the rules of the MC club. He has come to terms with the fact that he will be a bachelor forever and he’s happy with that. At the end of the day his club comes first.
When he realises that someone is stealing from the Mac’s garage he is determined to find out what it is and punish them for taking liberties against his club. What he find will change his life and shake him up in ways he never imagined.

Helo is the thief in question. All her life she has suffered one trauma after another and now she finds herself medically discharged from the army with PTSD. Now she is in hiding and the only way she can keep her safe space is by fixing the owners bike. She doesn’t have access too funds so she uses her skills to get the parts from the MC club. She knows the risks if she gets caught but the risk of the people she is hiding from finding her is much greater.
When she gets caught by the president of the MC sparks and fists fly.

This is a very emotionally intense story which is what I love from this author. Both our main characters are very independent and capable of taking care of themselves, however Chez can’t deny the way Helo makes him feel, all he wants to do is protect her. However the problem becomes whether Helo or the MC club allow him to do that.
Can Helo let her guard down enough to accept help and protection from Chez. Can she trust a man after everything she has been through. And how will Chez react if his brothers in the MC club decide that they don’t want to risk themselves in protecting Helo?
Both of our main characters have trauma in their past which they are struggling to work through and which has shaped them into the person they are today.
