Unlikely to Fit (Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood

Unlikely to Fit(Parker Lake) by Olivia Sherwood is a second chance romance that will pull you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go till the end. I’m a huge fan of this author and this series. This might be my favorite yet. Get ready to be taken on quite the emotional rollercoaster ride with this one. At some points I was crying (I’ve been very emotional lately) to absolutely laughing hard. Ioved all the characters, they are well developed and fun. I felt like I was apart of the story. This is Griff and Breckin’s story. She is truly trying to move on with her life after her ex left her for the young cheerleader but she’s finding its hard to do rhat since he’s the football coach at the school she works as a counselor. Griff oh mercy Griff’ s heart was shattered when the love of his life dies due to a accident. He’s not looking for love but neither is Breckin. Can these two be what the other needs to trust and love again? I can’t recommend reading this book enough. If you haven’t read the first book I highly recommend reading it as well. I can’t wait to see what she brings us next.

What a truly amazing conclusion to this absolutely incredible series!! The Box was everything I hoped it would be and more, it’s action-packed, exciting, intense, dynamic and so complex. I love how well the author tied everything together, and that all loose ends were all explained and done creatively.

I have felt invested in these characters from the beginning, it’s almost hard to believe the series takes place over a short amount of time as there is so much going on, and I’m so happy with how everything played out.

This is a series that needs to be read in order as each new book follows the last, so for reader enjoyment don’t read it out of order. I would highly recommend this series to anyone looking for their next one of a kind read, it’s a series you won’t want to miss!

The Crown of Stones: Magic-Price AUDIO BOOK by C. L. Schneider – Review by Bobbi Wagner

This is not my first audible by this author but it is one of my favorites.  I enjoyed being pulled into the story by the narrator’s different tones of voices for the characters.  I also enjoyed how engaging they made the story.  It is a fast paced story that took me on an adventure that I had to know more about.  This is a story about magic, fantasy, and mystery. This story has action, excitement and meaningful.   Ian Troy is addicted to magic, born to be a slave and his magic is used only as it serves the purpose of other people.   What will happen when he meets a beautiful assassin?  When he comes face to face with his own power, what will he do?  I really enjoyed this audible.  I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series.  I highly recommend this audible.

The Box: A Greek Gods Urban Fantasy Romance (Her Three Immortals Book 4)The Box: A Greek Gods Urban Fantasy Romance by Hazel Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Book 4 of the series, this book was just as action-packed and spicy as the previous 3. Vanessa, Raef, Grey and Aroz continue their battle against the mothers from hell (quite literally). Vanessa is still on her tasks that will guide her to her life’s journey. Full of action, steam and some unforeseen twists, this books catches you from the start and grips you until the end. It is best to start with book 1 (The Don) and read them in order, so you can catch up on things. You’ll laugh, have a few tear up moments, but you have to check this series out. It has been one of my favorites so far. This author is one of my favorites for her character development and plot twists. Well done! Highly recommend.

This is the fourth book in this series which I enjoyed just as much as the previous books. I highly suggest reading the previous books to help your enhancement of this series. This is a great paranormal romance story. I found this book to be fast paced, engaging and full of entertainment. The characters pulled me in from the beginning and kept me turning pages to the end. They are connectable and truly made the story for me. Their growth and the growth of the plot throughout the story just added to it. This is the final book in this series and I can’t wait to see what is next for this author. This is a great ending to a great series. I won’t say too much about this book as I think you should just pick it up. It is a great series that brings steam to a new level and you don’t want to miss it. I highly recommend this book and this author. It is worth the pick up for sure.

This is an author that I have enjoyed from the first book I have picked up, this one is no different. This is a new series for this author and what a great start it is. I enjoyed being pulled into the story from the beginning by the characters. This is a story that is well written and the author’s use of details made the story feel realistic. This is a fast paced story that is steamy in parts and just plain great romance. The characters are not only engaging but also connectable and bring the story to life. I enjoyed the chemistry and their growth as well as the growth of the plot throughout the story. This is a story about Paisley and how she finds herself in a situation where she needs to marry Caspian for a year. She never expected that pretending could become something more. But what happens next with them you don’t want to miss. They are great characters that I truly enjoyed and what they brought to the story. This is a great pick up and I highly recommend it.

Conveniently Yours (Titans Of Manhattan #1)Conveniently Yours by Anise Storm
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My, Oh, my, Titans of Manhattan, here we go. This first installment of this series is mesmerizing. I am a huge fan of first-person point of view for both main characters, as it allows you to really get inside their mind, and therefore really delve into the story. Though it’s been done before, this author really captures the essence of second chances, and fighting your demons. Paisley and Caspian have a deep-seated connection, both coming from a rough childhood and having known each other back then and meeting up by chance after finding out only the most unfortunate of news on both sides. There is something to finding out that your loved ones aren’t in their best health and feeling as though you could lose them at any moment, and it makes you vulnerable. This vulnerability was felt in a big way throughout this novel, and I was on the edge of my seat, bed, really, wherever I was while enjoying this adventure.

Love isn’t easy. It’s not meant to be. It’s about fighting for what you want, becoming the best you, you can be, and having the support, love, and strength of your partner to help you along that road. Caspian and Paisley found each other, exactly when they both needed someone to keep them afloat, albeit, in different ways. You can feel these emotions floating off the pages as you read, and feeling their inner demons battling their way to the surface. The greatest thing to come from this novel, was knowing that they both discovered that they found each other again, and for that, they can become the best version of themselves, together. I absolutely loved this novel and cannot wait to read the next installment in the ‘Titans of Manhattan’ series. Thank you, I will be recommending this novel to everyone!

Wow what a fun steamy read! I can’t wait for the next Titans book as I am 100% sure it will be just as amazing as this one. The characters are truly wonderful and you are with them every step of the way. You just want things to work out for them.
Caspian and Paisley each find themselves in a tough spot, for very different reasons, but they can help each other and solve both problems if they marry and stay married for a year. A marriage of convenience should be easy to do right? After all its just 12 months, they can throw in some hot sex along the way and at the end they will both have what they wanted. We all know the best laid plans don’t always work out the way we want them too. Both Caspian and Paisley never expected this to start to feel real but can they really trust those feelings?

I so loved this series. So many answers revealed in this 4th book. All the main characters have obstacles in their way to overcome. The guys have their mothers to contend with and our strong tenacious lead character has her own task to fulfill. Quite a few surprises as well thrown in to have us cheering as well. The author has brought us full circle with a slight hint there could be a book 5. One can only hope. This series will keep you reading and enjoying every page. I don’t recommend starting in the middle of the series as you really do need all the backstory to really really enjoy these books. To the author, bravo on a wonderful book series.

Unlikely to Fit (A Parker Lake Novel Book 2)Unlikely to Fit by Olivia Sherwood
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Unlikely to Fit is the second book in a series and the first book by this author that I have ever read. It is a romantic comedy. And I will say that it serves well as a stand-alone. I felt that reading this for the first time without the first book, it was easy to follow.

The main characters, Breckin and Griff have both recently had heart breaks and are completely starting over. Breckin was divorced. Griff lost his wife in a motorcycle accident. I have to admit that I fell in love with these two characters. But my favorite character development is Griff’s Meemaw. She is funny and kept me laughing throughout the book. I will definitely have to pick up and read the first book in this series!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. It has it all-romance, suspense, tragedy and betrayal and it had me right on the edge of my seat from the first page to the last. Brant has been through so much and he isn’t looking for love when he embarks on a mystery journey that Aubrey also finds herself being drawn into. She’s been tied down for so many years and doesn’t want to get attached to Brant when fate brings them together. He has kids and a ranch and that’s not what she’s looking for but deep down inside she can’t help developing feelings for him. Sometimes the very thing you run the hardest from is what you need the most, but sometimes you don’t realize that until it’s too late. This book had so many twists and turns but the ending made so much sense and just fit perfectly with the whole story. It was definitely swoon worthy! If you’re looking for a book to suck you right in, this is one you don’t want to miss.

Griff is a big, muscular, tattooed teddy bear with a huge heart. He never thought he would find love again after losing his first love tragically. Then Breckin walks into his life and he’s genuinely smiling and happy again. He can’t stay away and the way that he calls her Jelly Bean just melts me. She’s been so hurt and embarrassed by her ex husband that she isn’t remotely interested in a relationship but she can’t help but be drawn to him. He looks so gruff on the outside but once she actually takes the time to get to know him she realizes what an amazing person he is as he wriggles his way firmly into her heart. Griff has a mee maw that is laugh out loud hilarious! I really love that this book has so much laughter mixed in with heart melting romance. There is a big tragic twist in the story that I wasn’t expecting but the ending is absolutely beautiful. I’m really looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

How to describe this sweet romance? For starters meemaw is awesome and you will fall in love with her for sure! Breckin is so sweet and not in a bad way. I adore her character and her strength for all she’s been through. And then there’s Griff. Mmm Griff in my mind is close to every girls dream guy. The one who makes you feel safe and beautiful. With everything that they have both been through its not surprising they are not interested in starting anything. But who knows what can happen if there’s chemistry? Is chemistry enough when your heart is broken?

I don’t even know where to start… this is a perfect Mafia romance book. The story is spectacular. It has a little bit of everything you could want in a Mafia romance plus some. I like that the author has the family trees at the beginning of the book, it’s very helpful. The characters are awesome. I want to be friends with Liliana, Sophia, and Emiliana (who are Mafia Princesses); they take this story from good to great. This is Liliana’s story, of how she breaks free from the world she’s trapped in and finds love along the way with Max. Max fell in love with Lil before he had even met her, and he’ll do anything to keep her safe. Now… on to Mafia Elite Book 2: Blood Oath.

Unlikely to Fit (A Parker Lake Novel Book 2)Unlikely to Fit by Olivia Sherwood
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A romantic comedy smash hit! I LOVED this book. The author develops relatable, funny characters with depth. You really get to know all of the characters, but deeply understand the hurts and joys of the main characters, which keeps the reader engaged with the story. I love the world created by the author and the relationships and friendships on display in her books, especially in this series. I laughed out loud many times— Meemaw’s character is something else!

In this story we dive deeper into the lives of Breckin and Griff, who have each had their heartbreaks and given up on love; however, they have caught one another’s eye. Will they take another chance on love? Could it ever work?

This is the second book in the series, so if you read the first, you already know many of the other characters in the book, which makes it even more engaging—though it could be read as a stand-alone. I enjoyed this book and Breckin and Griff’s story even more than the first book in the series and I cannot wait for the third!

Love's Reverie (The Stardust Duet, #2)Love’s Reverie by K.G. Fletcher
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been looking forward to reading this book since the moment I read the last word of Love’s Refrain, and I definitely wasn’t disappointed. I quickly immersed myself back into the story of Phillip and Kat, who begin the book in the present day shortly after the death of older Phillip Gordon. The book was full of twists and turns that I certainly wasn’t expecting, making me wonder many times if the story would end in a happy ever after. Throughout the book I loved watching the connection between Phillip and Kat grow, coming together in hardships and facing outside threats to their relationship with strength and grace. It was beautiful to watch two people who barely knew each other at the beginning of the first book grow to the point where they can no longer live without each other, and the author did a great job of showing that! I am sad this is the ending to their story, but am excited to read other works by this author in the future!

Full of second chances, chemistry, drama, humor, a small town and so much more make up this fantastic novel with fabulous characters. What do you get when you cross romance and comedy? One amazing story that will have you laughing, crying and jumping up and down when things go right for the characters. A beautiful starting over tale that combines a wonderful story line with ultra relatable characters. I really enjoyed watching Breckin fall for the devastatingly charming, but wholly broken, Griff. I loved the fact that the author shows that love can truly heal even the deepest of heartbreaks. So for me this novella started off very slow. Usually novellas jump right into the action but this one took about halfway through until anything really happened. Once it did though I began to enjoy the story. The characters are people you can care about while you are reading and then put down and never give a second thought to. So if you are looking for a quick, comfortable read that gives you that HEA then this novella is for you.

The characters are complex and relatable, I was pulled right into their world. They have a chemistry that had me sinking into their story and not wanting to leave. It’s got some suspense and it adds to an overall well rounded storyline. If you’re looking for a book that draws you in for a while and leaves you missing the characters this is definitely the book. I normally stay far away from the “friends to lovers” scenarios as they tend to bore me. Former friends Enzo and Sofia are far from boring though There was plenty of chemistry and sexual tension between the two. They are both so full of life and love for each other from a very young age. Sofia has some secrets though that just may end their happily ever after before it starts. Add on a psychotic Russian mobster that wants Sofia dead because of the secret she is holding and you are in for one Hell of a ride!

Flash Point (Nite Fire, #1)Flash Point by C.L. Schneider
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First, let me start out by saying I am so excited this is a series! I can not wait to continue living in the world the author has created! I will say however this book is so filled with details it is not a book you can speed through. It was probably a good 10-12 hours of active reading time versus the 4-5 hours I’ve been used to with other books I’ve read recently. This did cause a slight struggle for me as it was not a book I could easily put down and pick up in carpool lines, doctors’ offices, or other places where I could read for a couple of minutes. This book required my full concentration and I loved every minute.

The story starts out with a prologue to give the readers an insight into what has caused Dahlia to find herself on Earth in Sentinel City. She has vowed to give Earth protection in exchange for the protection they have given her unknowingly. As we follow Dahlia on her journey to help solve a series of unexplainable murders, we meet other characters who like herself are not from Earth and have found sanctuary in this land. While Dahlia is teamed up with the lead detective on the case, we realize he might not be like every other human she has met. There are a few intensely graphic scenes however it does not take away from the story being told.

I was recommended this book because I have enjoyed books like Dresden Files, Monster Hunter International, Hard Magic, and other books in the sci-fi/fantasy/magic genre. This book was a little slow to get into but once I could truly give it the concentration and dedication it deserved, it very quickly became found it’s way to my favorites list. I can’t wait to read books 2 and 3 (as well as any others the author puts out.) I can’t recommend this book enough! Do yourself a favor and grab a copy!

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If every year you watch a lot of Christmas Hallmark movies, then this is the book for you! I am one of those people who love a good romantic Christmas theme and was not disappointed when reading this novella!

This book is about a woman named Thea who owns a bakery. One day a man by the name of Ben walks in and sparks fly. You’ve heard of love at first sight? Well this was lust at first sight. Thea who just got out of a relationship was not ready for anything new. Ben is persistent so Thea decides to give it a try. Boy, is she thankful she did give him a chance. As time goes on, the more steamy it gets.

This novella was sexy, romantic, cute and holiday themed. It was a very quick read so if you are looking for all of the above, look no further!

A Sweet Christmas: A Sweet Confections Novella is a cute romance perfect for this time of year. I had not read a book by this author previously but glad that I stumbled across her. I enjoyed the meet-cute of Thea and Ben. The story was a quick, delightful holiday story. I am not one for sappy Hallmark stories, but this cut through the overly saccharine relationship. The two main characters were interesting and contrasted each other nicely. Since this is a novella there was not enough time to delve deeper into the secondary characters. I’m hoping some of them make an appearance in future stories. I’m glad I found this author and look forward to reading more from her in the future.
