Wow! I’m blown away at the world building in this book. The author has created a very realistic dragon world. I also want to add that the violence and gore are very realistic and described to the point I can see it. Extremely well written! Dahlia is tough and gifted, making her perfect to protect the human world. Loved the great characters! I’m looking forward to the next book in the series!

This was a really interesting book. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect when I picked this one up, but for a such a short book it didn’t lack in content. I wasn’t expecting a story where the main character helped people pass peacefully into death. It was very interesting and not something I’ve read before so that makes it unique. While the content was lacking for a 57 page book, I still felt like things moved fast and I would have really enjoyed more of a backstory and some world building. Overall though with the amount of pages and how quick of a story this was, the quality and content wasn’t bad at all. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read the next! Or at least hopefully there will be more!
This book is a real page turner. I can’t wait to read the next books, I’m invested now. I felt a connection with the characters in the book and it’s a book I would reread in the future. It is a mountain lion shapeshifter book based in a small town in the mountains.

This was an interesting and thrilling 4 star read. This was my first book from this author and I wasn’t sure what to expect. It did take me just a little bit to get pulled into the story. But once I got further in I couldn’t put it down.
Liz was watching and writing things she shouldn’t have been about MI5. When she finds herself talking to Alex there is something about him that is intriguing to her. She decides to change her career and go to school. She is doing very well and when she is close to graduating, is approached by Alex again and offered a job. There is a cringe worthy moment when she goes on her first job, there is a twist and she is put through some severe torture. There is another twist when she gets a coded email, how does this person know who she works for?
Things get more intense as the story moves forward. I will warn that if you have triggers then this would not be the book for you. There are several moments that I found myself cringing. We get violence, torture, mystery and so much more in this read. All of the characters added a great element to the story. This was an intense thrilling read and I look forward to reading more from this author.
These 2 were a treat to read about. Talk about a stubborn woman, but with every right to be. Finding herself pregnant to a man she only knows by one name and no mean of communication with him, we see how strong she is doing things on her own. When fate steps in, they are both thrown cureveballs they didnt see coming and must fight to overcome. Who will tuck tail and run first?

At First Light is the first book in a new series by Barbara Nickless. I picked this book because it was one of my options being a prime member for the Kindle First. The two main characters are Dr. Evan Wilding who’s a professor and Addie who is a detective.
I found the story to be excellent from page one to the last page, it kept me completely engrossed and interested. There was not a lull at all in the story everything moved seamlessly and fast without any extra unnecessary aspects.
I really liked both main characters. I found Dr. Evan Wilding and Addie both to be personable, funny, but serious we need it. They were intriguing characters who bounced off of each other well, with a hint of maybe a romance coming in future books.
One of the things I enjoyed most from this authors book was that it had a good mix of characters and they were an inclusive cast. For instance one character is a male with dwarfism, another character is a male with autism. I enjoyed the fact that the author brought in characters that you don’t often see in books and I found myself so connected to each one. The mystery surrounding the case was spectacular. I wasn’t sure if I would be interested in it since it does deal with things like Viking history and runes but I found that that did not distract from the storyline at all and I found myself interested in the way the author presented it.
This book was hard to put down from page 1 and I was sad anytime I had to take a break for life lol. If you enjoy a story with a good mystery, a great whodunit, a true psychological thriller, and one that will keep you on your toes where you won’t find yourself knowing who the killer is then this is definitely a book you should pick up. It is not often that I go through an entire book and I’m shocked at who the killer is but this one easily fell in to that category. If I had one thing that I really was upset over, it would be that apparently book 2 doesn’t come out until a year from now ☹

This is the second book in the Curvy Ever After book series, it is only the first one I have read. I loved having the heroine in the story not be a size two and yet the man looked at her with love and told her how incredible she is. As a bigger person myself, it is nice to read a story that puts a plus size woman in a good light. This was a great story that I could relate to, with childhood trauma that follows into adulthood. Lincoln and Harper came from totally different upbringings, but neither were perfect. Can they overcome their past to make a future for the family they have created?

Was this book what I was expecting? No. Was it exactly what I needed? YES. Yes, it was. The last nearly two years have been rough. Sometimes the heaviness in the world weighs me down, and this book reminded me how important it is to still take care of myself. Self care is so important! So while I didn’t really learn new things, it was a lovely read and a wonderful reminder to put my self care on the to-do list. Magic is wherever you take the time to see it, feel it. Slow down and enjoy it in all the little things.

Who doesn’t love a Rockstar Romance? Luke is book four in the amazing Default Distraction series. And WOW did it deliver! I couldn’t put it down! This is my first read by this author and I read it as a stand alone. But now, I’m really needing to go back and read books one through three. There were so many feelings with this one… Love, loss, heartbreak, healing… Luke and Nikki’s story is one of the “must reads”!

What a fun book to read as Christmas approaches! Olivia is on a cruise during the week of Christmas to avoid her sister and her new fiancé. As luck would have it, Olivia meets Santa & Mrs. Clause and her life changes for the better and things happen to help Olivia bring out her independent and strong side. Olivia and Jase are cute together and oh so meant to be together. Their relationship has some bumps but they work through it as both of them believe they will be together for a long time. The other characters are fun and made the story fun. Jase’s friends made Olivia feel comfortable and not like an outsider. Overall, I enjoyed the book.

I absolutely love Christmas books like this one, especially around this time of year! It was a perfectly entertaining read, one unlike any other! This Christmas read is funny, witty, heartwarming and so full of cheer and of course the magic of Christmas! I loved all of the detail that the author wrote with and how creative this story was, I’ve read many Christmas books in my time and this one is certainly memorable!
This story starts off fast and strong and doesn’t let up. It was a quicker read for me as there was always something going on that had me unable to put it down. I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future!

A Sweet Christmas is just the type of book everyone needs to read this time of year to get us in the holiday spirit. I love to read Christmas Novellas that give the reader just enough information to enjoy the book without leaving out important details. This author did a great job with Ben and Thea’s growing attraction.
Ben walks into Thea’s shop looking for something every bakery sells but, Sweet Confections offers all kinds of sweet bakery delights aside from cupcakes lol. Ben gets some tasty treats and also tries to get Thea to come with him but she declines. Ben comes back and after speaking with Thea a bit he asks her out again but this time she accepts to meet him next Saturday for sushi.
Thea recently broke up with her ex boyfriend so she doesn’t really know if she’s ready for this but the attraction and chemistry can’t be denied. Will she give in or will she just keep Ben as a friend / customer?
This was a sweet fast paced holiday read that anyone is sure to enjoy. Looking forward to more books by this author.

What I liked most about this story is that the shapeshifters were dragons. Most of the time shapeshifters are werewolves in stories. I also appreciated the strong female lead. Although this is a fantasy novel I felt like there was a lot of mystery and a bit of thriller in here too. Kept me interested the entire time. I think what I enjoyed most about this book is that it didn’t have that bubbly romantic feel to it like a lot of fantasy novels have. It was dark and stayed dark throughout the story.

Oh, how I loved this book! I laughed and teared up and felt the entire spectrum of emotions as I read Breckin’s story. This is pretty much exactly what I want when I disappear into a good book, and exactly what I got. I quickly fell into this book and found myself reading well into the night and honestly lost track of time so fast that it soon was 4 am, that is how good this book was for me. I just had to know how things would turn out for Breckin. But I was also so sad when it was over because I felt like I said goodbye to a best friend. I really connected with her and became attached. The side characters were just as amazing and strong. I can’t wait to see what will come next for Parker Lake.

Luke is the 4th book of the series, and while you can read it as a standalone (I did) but I think it would be better to read the other books first and get a better understanding of the other guys and the backstory.
Luke is heartbreaking, sweet, and his chemistry with Nikki is off the charts. I love Nikki’s attitude, how she knows who she is and owns it. They both have baggage and are doing their best to get past it. Brie is absolutely adorable and I loved the relationships she had with her uncles. The immediate connection she has with Nikki is awesome too. This is a good rock star romance. I think my favorite part is when Luke asks who Nikki’s favorite DD member is!

I loved this sweet fast read for the Holiday season. Every year I find myself looking for books that will take me away from the stress of it all this time of year and this one caught my eye for sure with that cute and fun cover but the blurb really grabbed me as well. I dove right in with a new author and was instantly happy I gave it a go. It was a light and easy read that was just what I was looking for. Who wouldn’t want a cruise at Christmastime? I also love the idea that this is a first in a series so it looks like I get to anticipate more fun and sweet love stories to keep me cozy and warm. Breckin starts to have feelings for Griff but she keeps second guessing herself and isn’t sure if she can put herself out there again.
Griff moved back to Parker when his childhood sweetheart died unexpectedly. Griff is a catch. He is handsome, tattooed and kind to everyone. He is the kind of man who takes his Meemaw grocery shopping and plans her 90th birthday. However, he has not truly joined the living since his love passed. This second chance at love book is sweet and funny. Griff’s meemaw is hilarious. I love all of the characters in this book, but Meemaw is my favorite. She is like most of the women in this book. Fierce, intelligent and independent, but she has so much hilarious fire in her. I absolutley love how this book describes small towns to a T. Between news traveling faster than a cheetah and old time regulars who do not like any change. Parker is a town filled with loyal, caring and protective characters. It just makes me want to live there! I can’t wait to visit Parker again in book 3.

Woah, I had no idea what I was getting into with this novel as it was the first time I have experienced anything by this author but I was so happy I scooped this read up! This book was completely a surprise full of mystery and intrigue as I followed along on this detailed and suspenseful journey Brant Bellamy embarked on and found the beautiful and spunky Sharleen Scott on as well. These two lit up my kindle and I quickly became completely consumed by their story, rooting for them to find the happily ever after they so deserved. I loved this and look forward to going back and seeing what the rest of the series holds and what the future of the series might have in store.

His mom’s last words to him were find him and make it right. Brant does not understand what those words mean or who his mother meant but he is determined to find out. To protect his children from coming into harm’s way he sends them to their mom in Chicago and heads to the Oregon Coast with the purpose and intention of finding a man who worked on the Bellamy ranch 40 years ago.
However, fate has other plans when Brant meets the beautiful and exciting Aubrey Chartrand, who is a bartender at a local bar In Angel Beach where Brant stops to have a bite to eat. The unplanned meeting between the two of them causes both to rethink their decisions and future. Brant has only come in search of the mysterious stranger that worked at the Bellamy ranch years ago and Aubrey is planning on riding her Harley off into the proverbial sunset. She has no intention of getting tied down not after spending years looking after her elderly aunt. Their plans are quickly sidelined when Aubrey becomes targeted by a stalker. Suddenly her and Brant are pulled together to find out who this person is. It is now starting to look as though this mysterious person could be a murderer that has targeted them and put them both in his line of fire.
This book was incredibly difficult to put down and I ended up reading it from cover to cover. I became completely immersed in the lives of the characters and needed to know who this mysterious stranger was and what he wanted. I love the fact that even though it was centered around a romance between the two characters, Brant, and Aubrey, it was also full of action and suspense. I was completely drawn into the mystery surrounding not only the mysterious stalker who is after both Brant and Aubrey but what Brant’s mom’s last words meant. Who was this drifter that showed up on their ranch 40 years ago? Where did he come from? Why was it so important for Brant to find him?
I loved the character of Brant (I mean who doesn’t like a sexy cowboy) but more importantly I love the fact that he wasn’t a bad boy but instead someone with a big heart who cared about those that he loved and would do anything to protect them. I loved that Brant was a single father and that his focus was on keeping his children safe and being the best father that he could be to them. I also really enjoyed the fact that both main characters were older. I love that Aubrey was down to earth, independent, and fiercely loyal to those that she loved. The chemistry between Brant and Aubrey was undeniable even though they both tried to ignore it as best as they could. It just goes to show that sometimes things happen, and people cross our paths for a reason.

After a particularly bad day, her and her girlfriends go out for margarita’s at the local bar. After a few too many, the cute bartender volunteers to make sure she gets home safely and her friends are ready for her to move on in the relationship department. Griff is busy running his bar and has no time, or desire, to find a woman to share his life with. He had that once…but his desire for a relationship died right along with her. When he takes Breckin home one night, a friendship begins that has him feeling things he hasn’t felt in a long time. To spend more time with her, he asks her to help plan his grandmother’s birthday. The more time they are around each other, the more feelings grow. But…can either of them move on from their pasts? And what happens when their pasts refuse to be moved on from? I enjoyed Breckin and Griff’s characters. And Griff’s grandma…loved her!! Both Breckin and Griff have had pasts that could make it hard to open up their hearts again. Their story is cute and romantic…but real and relatable. Overall, a good story.

The second book of this series, just like the first, did not disappoint. This is a story about mafia princess Sofia who is being “hunted” by the Russian mafia. Sofia is a designer who is about to take off in the fashion world in Milan. However, prior to this adventure, a person from her past shows up and everyone knows that trouble is coming. Sofia has brothers who will not let anything happen to her, however, another would also come to her aid and much more. Enzo is the son of a high ranking mob boss, but has always pledged to keep Sophia safe. When they were younger they performed a blood oath and he always promised to keep her out of harm’s way. They have been “estranged” ever since his promised bride went missing along with his sister. He thought by staying away from Sophia, it would help keep her safe but he was wrong. So, Enzo and Sophia end up taking this journey together while he plays bodyguard and they both try to ignore their feelings for one another. I always love a great, steamy, romance between friends that becomes more. Some of the best relationships start out as friends and the bond can become something so different. That seems to happen for Enzo and Sophia. I really enjoy this series. The characters, the steaminess, and the combination of bad boy at the whims of the woman he loves just truly does it for me.

I was so thrilled reading this book. You will fall in love with Max almost instantly! Lilliana is in for a wild ride throughout this entire book, and with every turn of the page I hoped for the best for her. I love the way that the author painted a full picture of the Mafia life, indicating the danger that was present, but not from yours or my point of view, but from the point of view of someone right there in it. The bloodshed was not so hard to stomach, but the focus was on Max and his dangerous plight to rid Lilliana of her father’s terrible reign! Extremely well written and I was SO ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT!!!

Blood Oath is the second book in the Mafia Elite series by Amy McKinley. I am really enjoying this series so far, it is a fast paced, exciting and romantic read. This novel centres around Enzo, mafia underboss of the Vitale family and Sofia, the princess of the La Rosa family. When Sofia is threatened by the Russian mob boss’s son, Enzo pulls out all the stops to try and ensure her safety, while also realising his true feelings for her. I really loved this book, the female characters are so strong and although the men will do anything to protect them, they are able to handle themselves. I am really looking forward to the next book in this series, I need to know who the “rat” in the family is, as I am sure that the author is laying a false trail just now. When I read the first book, I struggled placing all the characters with their respective families however by this book I feel that I know them all. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed this short Christmas story. The author does an amazing job making the story have a really festive feel. Romance and Christmas go hand in hand and the author does a great job showing that. The characters are well written as well and the story overall feel complete. You can help but fall in love with them.
Thea and Ben are two people who aren’t looking for love or romance. Thea has had a bad past with relationships and wants to concentrate on her business, Ben is a confident guy who feels that he doesn’t need a women in his life and that a women would add nothing. But how wrong they both were. From the second they meet their chemistry jumps off the page and you just want them both to give in and fall in love.
This is the second book of Curvy Ever After. Harper has an attraction to Lincoln Who doesn’t expect anyone of his level hotness to be attracted to her. I like Harper and Lincoln intreactons they are so real and I feel very connected to the characters. I can’t wait to read more of Harper and Licoln’s journey.
