I love how action-packed this is from start to finish. Brek is a hero in his own right and easy to love from the way he tells the story through his strong accent. He and Gabriella’s chemistry is amazing as I enjoyed being sucked into this era with them. So much has transpired in this one that you’ll feel enthralled in it but I’m such a fan of history, romance and where this one bought me but in a raw dynamic that’s fun and vivid to read.

This book was exciting in a lot of ways from the action-packed scenarios between the faes to the witches (the Norns) and the witch-shifter. It also spins you down the realm of love and what happens once they join forces to become more than anyone can reckon with. Full of action, seduction in sex, magic and all that we could ever desire from a fantasy read. This one was unexpectedly beautiful and twisted but full of twists and turns as well.

These characters are easy to love as you follow their journey of love. From the start, the way their vibe for one another sweeps you off your feet but also in discovering love between her and Giovanni, she learns more about herself which for me, personally, makes this book worth the read. It’s short and sweet but very relatable from a woman’s perspective. This is the perfect book to crawl up to with the change of the seasons to warm your heart.

I love how this story wasn’t your usual fantasy read or what you’d expect in any sense. I love how Kara sought out to pave a place for self and found a sense of worth within herself. Her courage is further exemplified with her fierce desire to combat her dangerous enemies but protect those around her as well. What I enjoyed about Kara was she was very likeable and relatable as a heroine. This story was intriguing, page-turning and powerful to read!

I find myself delving deeper into the mysteries and I can’t help but get entrapped in my imagination as they take us to the most unpredictable places with each case. This book is no different with where we go with Red to solve this case. Every turn is more suspenseful then the next as we follow quickly along with intrigue. I love how well developed it is that it seemed like a movie as I dreamed about the book at night after each chapter as it came to life as I slept. Every character was well likeable (at least to me) for different reasons.
I found this book extremely enjoyable but for so many reasons. From traveling to the open possibilities of where it can lead us. I needed this book because I found the way the author wrote it to be rather refreshing, open-ended and to what possibilities as to what it would be as the world awaits you. I loved how we traveled with the author but it also showed women the power of not only love but self-love and where it leads you. This book was fun, exciting and refreshing with enriching lessons that we should hold near and dear to our hearts. Very nicely written!

Child of Prophecy is the second book in the ‘Tirumfall Trilogy’, and the story continues a few years after the end of book one, ‘Fall of the Western Kings’. I would suggest reading book one first where the characters were introduced and their backstory’s explained. In this novel our hero Gant continues his adventures and this time he must find the “child prophesied to lead the demons of the Western Kingdoms to victory over the people of the East”. Going with Gant on this exciting but dangerous journey is woodland nymph and his wife Dalphnia, Emperor, wizard and friend Pris, and shape-changer Amelia. Although they seem like an unlikely group of heroes they have already proven themselves before when Gant defeated Varg with his magical sword Valorious in a previous battle in book one. However will they have to kill the child to stop the carnage that will follow the child’s birth, or can they outwit the demons without killing. This is another epic fantasy adventure by J Drew Brumbaugh and like with book one I felt totally immersed in this story due to the authors wonderful world building. I loved the main characters, and felt like I was back with an old friend, Gant. However all the characters are fascinating and well defined and all bring something different to the story. The authors detailed descriptions really made the story come alive and the plot was action packed and full of drama which had me gripped. I was hooked from page one and felt the narrative flowed well making this an enjoyable and engaging read. I look forward to the final instalment of this classic fantasy adventure trilogy.

This book is cutting edge entertainment from start to finish. I love how it gives us each characters’ perspective but the plot thickens with each chapter. Each characters’ perspective changes the way you see where they’re going down in each action. I loved how quickly Mudesa’s life changed with a single phone call. Perry also is a prosperous investigator who not only likes the work he does but likes to make the money. The suspense will easily drive you insane but bring solace to your heart in how deep it goes. This is a beautiful and fascinating read!

This is the second book in The Tirumfall Trilogy and the epic fantasy continues. I again found myself lost in the pages and before I realized I had finished in one sitting. I was drawn in from the beginning I couldn’t put it down. I will say if you haven’t already read the first book in this trilogy I highly recommend you do as it will give you a better understanding of what is going on and help with the characters back story. Get ready to be taken on one heck of an Epic adventure as Gant and his friends set out to save the day once. This time the prophecy of evil places fate in there hands. Reign is the third book in The Larussio Legacy series. I highly recommend reading the first two books as the story will make more sense of what is happening in this book. I have never read Via Mari and say that I did not like it. Mari takes her time and builds the plot of the book in such a way that you will love the series. Her stories have so much detail that you think you are right there with the characters. Her characters really bring the story to life. They are complex and interactive. I felt like I was friends with Serena and could feel exactly what she was feeling and doing in this book. This book is Giovanni and Serena’s story. Giovanni is the next in line to become a mob crime family. Serena is the love of Giovanni’s heart. I highly recommend this story to find out about Giovanni and Serena’s relationship and other exciting things that are on around them.

In this book, it brings you back to being a teenager with Kara, Toby and Bear. Kara and Bear are easy to love as you follow their summer fling into what could be more for these two. These two take the reader’s heartstrings and make you love them and their little love story all the more. Very cute and adorable read that’s so sweet. A great book!

Another great read by Brumbaugh. Child of Prophecy is a fantastic read. Brumbaugh knows what to do to entice a reader.
Gant is off on another adventure, but this time he’s leaving behind a son and wife. The Lady in White shows up with news. Gant and Pris set off on another adventure.
Gant is following his guy and has to go get help. The quote I chose for Gant is: “We had a visit from the Lady in White. The same one we saw in Pogor tower. She says an evil child is going to be born in Scaltzland. A child who will unite the dark minions against us.”

These are fun, naughty romance books. They are sweet and spicy and oh so sexy stories. I have read them all individually and again in this boxed set.
Sugar & Spice: In this book, we are introduced to Cy (the youngest owner of Sweetopia) and Jolie (the Red Velvet Queen who works for him). As their romance blossoms, can it survive the secrets that both are hiding?
Vice & Virtue: Here we meet Katja and Moon. The four of them decide to embark on a new enterprise: an adult theme park. Spicetopia is born! Personal problems arise between the four. Can they handle it or will their dreams blow up in their faces?
Fire & Ice: This story revolves around Neve Romano, head of security. I started out not liking him but his growth throughout the Book is remarkable. By the end I was cheering for him. Someone is trying to sabotage the grand opening of Spicetopia. The story is filled with surprises and a twist that I didn’t see coming.
Naughty & Nice: Cy and Jolie are finally getting married. What could go wrong? Pretty much everything, starting with the minister arriving a week early. How is Natalie supposed to entertain a minister in an amusement park specialized in sexual fantasies and fetishes? This is an amusing addition to the series.

East Beach (Red Farlow Mysteries #3) by W.F. Ranew
Ranew has really outdone himself. I can’t wait for the next one. He will have you trying to figure out who did what before you finally find out. A great read.
Red Farlow a PI gets a phone call no one wants to get. A friend is hurt and Red hauls butt there. He walks in to find his friend dying and blood on the floor.
Red calls in friends to help him out with this case. The quote I chose for Red is: “You can only get onto and off the island three ways. One is by air to or from McKinnon airport. Two, by water. Three, by car, bicycle, or foot over the Torras Causeway to the mainland. A boat could be a problem since the tide was incoming at that time, or so I believe. Have to double-check. The easiest and quickest route is by auto over the causeway.”
The Red Farlow Mysteries series is one of my favourites. This is a very gripping murder mystery that has everything from action, crime reporters, drugs and suspense. This book has me gripping on waiting for the next page each time. Discovering his friend has been shot and laying in a pool of blood he won’t stop to find out who did it.
This was the first book I have read by this author and I did enjoy the story. The characters were well written and the writer was able to write in a way that makes you feel like you are in that era. As is the time there is quite a bit of violence but because of the era it doesnt seem out of place.
The year is 1926. Brek is in a world of drink and drug smuggling and violence on an epic scale. As he searches for his love Gabrielle he has to face loads of ups and downs. Things that push him to breaking point and on the verge of losing his life.
Can he survive to be reunited with his love or will his antics catch up with him in a brutal way.
Phoebe Alexander is one of my favorite authors EVER! Her books are nothing like you have either read or will read! The Spicetopia series definitely falls under that category. She sets us up with a killer sensual amusement park for adults. Doesn’t that sound amazing? Each story is one a different couple that works throughout the park/organization. They are beautiful sweet stories that definitely have some spice to them. This boxed set is perfect for the weekend binge read!

Her Blackened Heart is the second book in the Blackened series by Isra Sravenheart. This book can be read asa standalone, but I recommend you read them in order to understand all of the back story. This story is quite unique as it is told in the POV of the villain, Lady Isra. Astrid, the raven/man servant who is very protective of Lady Isra, is also featured in this book. This book is fast paced and full of action and adventure. It is a story of good versus evil and how there can be a little of both in people. Not only is it a physically dangerous proposition, but mentally coming to terms with life and death situations and decisions but a strain on both of them. This is my new favorite book of Ms.Mari’s. If you like a good crime/mafia romance, I would highly recommend this book, series and author.

I have read not only every book in the Larsson Legacy series but I believe every book in the family. I have enjoyed each of them for different reasons and in this book it’s the fierce protective nature of Giovanni towards Serena no matter what she does.
There were so many twists and turned throughout the book I couldn’t get ahead and figure out what was next. Which I both loved and hated.
So much happens between Giovanni and Serena in this book, it was amazing how much action got packed into a normal length book.
I’m very hopeful that this isn’t the last we see of this family and looking forward to reading how the next guy falls.

Her Billionaire Daddy started off good. The story has a nice base. The author’s writing style wasn’t bad it had a nice flow to it. The story just lacked real emotions to me. There’re parts missing to me. Like we skip the arguments and assume everything was worked out. There didn’t seem to be a connection emotionally with them. It just moved too fast. I liked where the author was trying to go with the story. The characters didn’t develop enough for me. Then there is the Daddy and Little parts. I honestly felt like it was thrown in there to make it something different. I would say that the author has potential to make a really good story if the things missing filled in. Like this was a short story so maybe a full story would be better. I will definitely look out for longer books by this author. So that I can form a better opinion. Like I said it definitely showed potential.

Phoebe Alexander never misses when it comes to throwing something new and different in your face. I would’ve never though of half the stuff in her books. This box set was funny, sexy and down right dirty. I enjoyed every page. I really liked the stories flow and how it all came together. The characters were well written. They developed well also. Cy had to be my favorite guy he is just sigh. The last book Naughty and Nice had me shook the most. He is a minister lol. I had my mouth falling open more than once while reading this box set. There were some hmm moments but it didn’t take away from the overall quality of the books. I definitely recommend this if you need a change from the typical books.

I’ve always been a fan of Via Mari’s books. She always brings a certain amount of suspense and steam that will completely a reader!
Reign is the 3rd book in the Larussio Legacy series and one that I completely devoured. This is the continuation of Serena and Giovanni’s rollercoaster ride of a relationship. So much happens in this book that it makes it so hard to put down. Everyday Enchantments: Musings on Ordinary Magic & Daily Conjurings by Maria DeBlassie, is not a book you want to just zip through. Each little chapter is a story all its own. I love the way this book is about living in the moment. Not just living in the moment but every aspect of the moment and loving it. But what I love most about this book is the author’s turn of phrase. I love the way she uses language to paint pictures that you not only can see but you can smell and hear and feel. Such an appeal to the senses.
If you are a fan of sports romance stories…then this series is for you!
Each of the three books focuses on a player from the Boston Militia football team. Playing for the Money: a Bad Boy Sports Romance focuses on the team’s tight end, Hunter. Cat has been assigned to be his handler and keep him line after an alleged incident. Hunter is trying to stay on the right path so he can support his family. However, he is having a hard time fighting his attraction to Cat…especially since the coach has a rule about staying away from his daughter!
Playing for Love: a Second Chance Sports Romance is the story of the team’s QB, Gabriel. This is probably my favorite of the three stories. Gabriel is in a long-distance relationship since his dream of football has him playing in Boston. When his girlfriend’s best-friend moves to Boston sparks fly. The angst is soooo good in this story and I found myself devouring this one in one sitting!
Playing for Keeps: an Enemies to Lovers Sports Romance is the story of Tate, the team’s linebacker. Tate is not a huge fan of reporters and the media…and Chloe is a sports reporter who has overheard information about Tate while out at a bar. Tate and Chloe are at odds with each other…so what happens when their friends set them up on a blind date?
All three stories were wonderful. I love a good sports romance and each of these stories checked off all the things I love in a good book. There was angst and witty banter…cocky athletes…strong women…and of course some spicy moments thrown in. I love how all these books are connected and characters show up in all three. A great series…and I will definitely be checking out more!
