Wow! What a very well written suspense! And even though its the softer version, that didn’t take away from the storyline at all!!! Such large personality from all the characters—its hard to find flaw in the writing! Such an exciting series with a phenomenal set of characters that will keep you on the edge if your seats!!

Sunshine Kisses is a fast-read romance novella. While this book is part of series, it can stand-alone with the same gripping emotional ties you would expect from any romance story. Once you start, it is difficult to put down and you will find yourself saying “Just one more chapter” over and over again. I found some transitions to seem rushed, but I also found myself reading faster and thinking about how fast life really is, especially for someone with a condition such as the main character’s, which may have been the authors intent.
This story follows a short time between two people, Crystal and Spencer, who have known each other for years, but never considered the option of more… until now. However, given Crystal’s current medical situation, she would prefer to keep her distance, despite what her losses may be in the field of love. The main question you will keep asking yourself is can love overcome fear? Read this story to find out more!

What an epic story with an epic love! Sometimes steamy romance novels feel superficial. But Wine continues to weave a great story that is rich with depth and color. I love these characters and simply couldn’t put this book down to find out exactly what would happen. I don’t want to give it away but suffice it to say if you like romance books at all, steam or no, you need to pick this up. It’s got it all!

Denial (Hero High Book 1) is fast paced and a lot happens as we follow along with the students, future heroes and past heroes who also happen to be a television reality show as well. Friday sets out to be a hero but lives in the background, but she unwittingly finds herself in the thick of things as the story unravels.
Anger (Hero High Book w) picks up where the first book left off. Where a lot happens as the students learn more about themselves and what they can do and adjust to life as a hero and being in a television reality show. Friday seems to always find herself in situations not of her making and getting herself out of them, but she is also drawn to finding out just what is going on and who is involved.
Bargaining (Hero High Book 3) carries on from the first two where heroes are the norm and their lives are broadcast on television for all to see. In this book everything comes to head and we see who is who and which side they are on. You need to read these books in order as they flow on from each other and you will miss out on the story and how we get to each book. It is action packed and explosive and completely compelling. Just what makes a true hero?

Satan’s Devils MC Boxset 1 Books 1-5: Brothers protecting their own by Manda Mellett is where it all started for the MC. I didn’t find Manda until I reviewed the sixth book in the series, but it cemented my obsession. I am glad that I went straight back to the beginning and fell in love and the rest as they say is history.
Book 1 – Turning the Wheel (Satan’s Devils MC) – Sophie and Wraith’s story Book 2 – Drummer’s Beat (Satan’s Devils MC) – Sam and Drummer’s story Book 3 – Slick Running (Satan’s Devils MC) – Ella and Slick’s story Book 4 – Targeting Dart (Satan’s Devils MC) – Dart and Alex’s story Book 5 – Heart Broken (Satan’s Devils MC) – Heart’s story
Each book is about a member of the MC and enemies and the women who have come into their lives. Each one is an alpha male and sexy and each woman has been broken but come out strong. With each woman comes major problems to the club but they always band together as brothers and make sure no one will hurt them again. Lives will be lost, hearts broken, violence is a given, danger is bound, and love is powerful. There are many laughs and lots of tears along each journey.
It is no surprise when I say that I absolutely love this series and the offshoot series. I am addicted.

Satan’s Devils MC Boxset 1 Books 1-5: Brothers protecting their own is a wonderfully written MC series by Manda Mellett. Like other MC books, these stories are full of the sexy, hot, dominant men that deal with day to day club tasks. What I really like about this series is that each story deals with deeper issues, some that wouldn’t expect alpha males to deal with. Another great thing about this series is that each story can be read on their own but they are the best when reading one after the other.
My favorite story out of box set is Drummer’s Beat. Drummer is the president of the Satan’s Devils MC. He hasn’t been able to find an old lady…until Sam. Same broke down on the side of the road and Drummer helped her. Sam claims she is the daughter of Viper, but they all know he can’t have kids so Drummer is skeptical. When Sam is taken by sex trafficking ring, Drummer is determined to find her and claim her before it’s too late. One of the reasons I enjoyed this book the most is because of how the author deals with such a real life issue, sex trafficking. The chemistry between Drummer and Sam is another reason why I loved this story.

Manda Mellett has given us die hard MC lovers a gift – she has combined the first five books of her Satan’s Devils MC series into a Boxset! If you have not read any of her books before, I suggest that you grab the boxset and do not bother getting them one by one as I promise you that you will want to read every single one of them and then you will venture into the spin offs and once you merge from your binge reading you will look around and wonder how come that the world is still the same as you have been through sex trafficking, disability, racism, grief and so much more! The first book – Turning Wheels – is Sophie and Wraith’s story. Sophie and Wraith, the clubs VP, meet when he shows up at her house to protect her from the man that put her in the wheelchair. She is having hard time to accept the fact that she will be in the wheelchair til the rest of her life. The more time they spend together the closer they get and the rest is history …
The second book is Drummer’s Beat and it gives us Sam and Drummer’s story. Drummer is the President of the MC and he is a lone island when it comes to women. He fights his attraction to Sam but when she is taken by a sex trafficking group, he has to face the reality and his need to claim her.
The third book is Slick Running and it is Ella and Slick’s story. In some ways it is the darkest story so far and it will break your heart. There is so much more than what meets the eye and Slick needs to face the fact why Ella ran from him and he has no choice but to go after her.
The fourth book of the series is Targeting Dart and it gives us Dart and Alex’s story. Dart does not do commitments and even though the curvy black girl who is fighting for the life her sick child, he thinks that he can only offer her friendship. Just wait until her violent ex enters the scene and all the bets are off! The fifth book of the set is Heart Broken and it is a story of heart break, be prepared, this story pulls you deep. It is the story of Heart who leaves on a journey after the death of his wife and he is not planning to return … but not all is lost, there is a voice on the phone, a cop’s voice that keeps him tethered and his journey is not yet at end … I welcome to the world of MC, the universe of Satan’s Devils! Once you enter, you will not want to leave and luckily for us, the writer is giving us one compelling story after another and there is a spin off and now, we also have the second generation!

Sunshine Kisses is the 2nd novella in the Kisses series by Elaine Marie. I did not read the first (Snow Kisses) but still enjoyed this one. It can be read as a stand alone, but now I want to go back to read the prior book. This book centers around Crystal and Spencer. They are long time friends, but are about to move into something more. Crystal’s best friend’s wedding is coming up, and its a destination wedding. The perfect time for a vacation fling. Crystal just found out she has some medical problems, and wants to have fun, in case she doesn’t have much time left. She didn’t expect the fling to be with one of her friends…and isn’t sure if its the best idea. While Spencer has crushed on her for years, she never saw him as anything potential, until just days before. This book has some heated scenes, but nothing over the top dirty. It is a cute, quick read that I recommend to anyone who enjoys romance novels with a happily ever after.

Sunshine Kisses (A Kisses Novella) is by Elaine Marie and such a great short read book. I fell in love instantly and have already added more books to my TBR list for the year. This was an emotional read as the character Crystal is dealing with a medical condition but living her life to the fullest. When she decided to have a fling, she never expected it to be Spencer. Spencer has had a crush on her for years and just wants to be seen. Will these two be able to work it out? Or will Crystal let her medical condition control their situation? I found myself on that roller-coaster where you cry, laugh or aren’t really sure what you should feel. This book was written amazing and I cannot wait to read more from this author!

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in this series and it was just as good if not better than the first. This author seems to know everything that a good book needs and has nailed it on every single book that I have read by her. I feel like I am living the story with the characters and I get to experience it right along with them. I enjoyed the characters and the love and major chemistry they had between them. There was struggle and heartache and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am looking forward to reading more of this series and more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!

This is quite the emotional rollercoaster…and I think it’s because it is a real-life situation that some find themselves in. Crystal’s best friend is getting married…and Crystal wants to have a fling while she is at the wedding. She recently got some bad news from her doctor and she is determined to life her life to the fullest for as long as she can. One of her best friends, Spencer, ends up being just the person to fill the position of boy toy. However, what happens when the truth about her health comes out? Can Spencer accept that? Can he accept the rules they have agreed on once they return to their everyday lives? You’re going to have to read to find out. This was a quick and easy read. I found myself relating to the characters and immersing myself in their world for a bit. While it is full of feels, it is worth every one!

This is the first book that I have read from this author. Although it’s the second in the series, I wasn’t lost at all. This story is mainly about Vivienne and Aiden. It seems mistakes were made in the first part and it’s up to Vi and Aiden to try to right the wrongs of the past. A curse has fallen upon the coven. All of magic is in jeopardy in Willow Creek. The winds are changing and a darkness is coming. They need to unlock the secrets of their own magic for the upcoming battle. Are they destined to be together or will the evil keep them apart?
The story is filled with danger, magic and romance. I was so engrossed in the story, I didn’t realize how fast I read it. The author pulls you into an enchanting world that will keep you on your toes. I loved the characters and the story. I will definitely be looking for part three.

Tangled Fates (Tangled Magic Series: Book 2) by Denise D. Young was an exciting read. I loved the various types of magical beings and realms featured in this book. Having only read this book on the series, I can say that it can be read out of order from the first book. The author revisits briefly what happened but not in so much detail to where I don’t want to go back and read it. The characters were fun, interesting, and believable. The love that ignites between Vi and Aiden was beautiful. The two fit together perfectly and I loved that Aiden was a fox! I can’t wait to read more in this series and easily give it 5-Stars.

I’m a massive fan of Manda Mellett’s books. She always brings something different to the table with every story she writes. This boxset is the first 5 books in her Satan’s Devil’s MC series and I couldn’t put it down. These men are definitely alpha and the chemistry between them and their love completely sizzled the pages. When I was first introduced to this author’s books, it was with stories that come later on in the series so it was so nice to go back and read about characters that I’ve already been introduced to and read about their HEA. Manda Mellett has a way of sucking you into her stories to the point you get completely invested in these characters lives. She is definitely my go-to one-click author!

Eat Me by Amber Dark is the first book in the Mayim Merman series. This is a hot and steamy short story that will keep the pages turning. This is the first book that I have read by this author and it was a great introduction. I found the book to be engaging and well written. The characters were interesting and so easy to read about. I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.

The Sweetest Day – by Debra Parley Every Story has a beginning, but the gingerbread and candy house were missing. That is what makes this story fun to read. Welcome to the pretty princess pink house. I love this version and that is what made Debra Parley a fun author. Her story is complete in its few pages. The characters are clever and perfect for this story. Job Well Done Debra Parley!
The Shadows That Move – Lorah Jaiyn Okay! This story also took you on a different rollercoaster ride. The house involved is bound by tall trees and the shadows within. Missing children, strong women and Witches oh my. Lorah Jan wrote this suspense building story. She also left you wanting more, so much more that I will be stalking this author for more stories. The best part about reading Anthologies is the fact it guides you to look up and read other authors.
I can easily say this one is my FAVORITE of the series! The author nailed it! Strong female and a Silent male. Haha. Just kidding. (Silent male..) Libby is the FBI agent of this group of girls. She is a no nonsense woman who has had to make her way in a male dominated job. She pushes harder and works faster which make her a strong female lead. We have heard about her sexy neighbor whom she won’t make contact with in past books. Well she finally gets her chance! But he doesn’t talk…oh he speaks well enough…with his silence and stares. As more encounters happen I find I really REALLY like him. He has secrets he isn’t ready to share, he is super duper sexy and he loves animals. Need I say more? He is a great book boyfriend.
I love getting to see all the girls from the previous stories as well as their menfolk. Seeing them all hanging out is a treat.
Overall I LOVED this story! It’s fast paced and I could hardly put it down because I couldn’t wait to see what would happen next. Would she survive her stalker, would her neighbor finally talk to her or would her cat ever like her? The suspense killed me!
I highly recommend this as it’s going on my favorites list!

Charles Calderone is an expert at the finer things in life but doesn’t want to settle for just a job when his knowledge expands further than just that. Being VP at the family’s firm is challenging (to say the least) but he’s got his sights on an architect. As she is gorgeous and gifted, but she annoys the hell out of him by bugging him to consult on every design decision! The more heated their arguments get, the more they learn to like one another but their worlds entwine sooner than later. They have to wiggle through their madness to find common ground but will they? Or will both their careers be lost because of this? I found that this book was sweet, romantic and unpredictable. The tit for tat battle these two create for themselves make the book playful. Their work relations make it more adult and I found it very intriguing to read. I loved this pleasant read!

The Lost is the first book in the Saint Code series. Even though this is listed as the first book in a series, I highly recommend reading The Finder of the Lucky Devil (Lucky Devil series) before you read this book. You will have a better grasp of certain events mentioned in The Lost if you read that book first.
I loved this book! The world building is superb and I love the unique characters. The Lost is a twisty adventure that keeps you guessing. I’d love to say more about specific details, but I don’t want to spoil the intrigue.

Hero High: Figure In The Flames collects the first three parts of Friday Fitzsimmons’ story, written by Mina Chara. Friday, or “Fitz” as she is sometimes known, is a trainee superhero in a world where superheroes are celebrities, surrounded by cameras at all times. Friday doesn’t particularly want to be famous, and certainly doesn’t want to wear revealing clothes and smile for the camera, but she does want to make a difference and support her family. The story is told within a framing narrative of an interview where an older Fitz is asked to discuss her origins. This works well, both reassuring the reader that Fitz will be alright in the end and allowing the older Fitz to break up the flow of the story every now and then to provide useful information or interesting commentary. I particularly like Chara’s vivid descriptions of things. Everything from settings to clothes and food (food!). Chara gives the reader plenty of detail that really allows you to feel like you’re seeing and tasting everything. For me, this is a five-star book. I would recommend it to fans of teen and YA superhero stories (it has a particularly X-Men feel to it with the special school for superheroes). There’s a good balance of character drama and action, and there are familiar tropes without it being boring or too predictable.

This is the second book in the Madeline Dawkins series and and its a great book.
After all the trauma cause to Madeline in the first book by her ex husband, she is back as a trained P.I with her close friend Mike.
She also still runs her event co-ordinator job as well. Her next job sees her planning a 3 day party for a famous client. However, things arent as rosy as they seem when the clients mother-in-law seeks Madelines help to find the person responsible for stealing her precious jewellery. With both businesses taking off Madeline certainly has her hands full.
An added complication occurs when one of the men who was part of the plan that kidnapped her is released only to be found dead days later. Is the man that escaped justice Usherwood back getting his revenge on the people who turned him in and will Madeline be next on his hit list.
Its a great story that keeps you hooked and guessing. It has a strong and independent female main character which is nice.

As a fan of the first book, I love the way Nathan and Bryer love each other. I think they’re together for a greater reason than even they can even know about. They’ve taken the time to establish their foundation and cement their love. I hated Cash for trying to come through and break them up. This book will have you praying Bryer sees through just how arrogant and pompous Cash is and lives happily ever after with Nathan. Great read — wonderful characters, romantic and entertaining.

What a brilliant quick sexy read! This book was hot, sexy & steamy from the moment it starts, right until the very end! I loved the front cover of this read, it drew me in instantly. Now Mayim was a another story completely he is the epitome of sexy, from the way he is, the way he talks, the way he handles himself and the way he gives it to women. He knows their desires and is more than ready and willing to give them it, all while helping them have their secret desire to play out for them. I loved Summer and seeing the growth she makes from the start and seeing her fulfil her real desires, and finding out the rest of her journey after Mayim. I can’t wait to read more from this series! I highly recommend this book!

Love the Way You Danceby Allison M. Boot is a sweet young adult fantasy that has a fairy tale feel to it. It is a story of self- acceptance, with magic, some drama, believing in yourself, learning to love yourself, evil trolls, and a little bit of adventure. I enjoyed this super sweet read. Ever since Kara was adopted by the king and queen of Starrycrest, she has lived a lovely life, with everything she could ever want- loving parents, a lovely home- including the starring role in the kingdom’s production of “The Nutcracker.” But things begin to fall apart, and Kara begins to doubt everything. She is put to the test and will have to draw on all her strength, and truly accept herself, if she is to overcome it all in the end. Another lovely story by Allison M. Boot!

Denial (Hero High book 1) by Mina Chara is a 3.5 star read. This is the story of Friday Fitzsimmons who went off to hero high when she was 17, she met and spent some time with her hero Captain Fantastic, she doesn’t really have an active power so is trying to figure out how she can become a superhero. This is my first book by this author and while it wasn’t one of my favourite books I couldn’t put the book down and read it all in one sitting.
Anger (Hero High book 2) by Mina Chara is a 3.5 star read. Friday Fitzsimmons is still trying to figure her way around Hero High and the camera’s, the new Dr Dangerous is hell bent on finding his place as a villain and making sure Friday is in the middle of his plans. Making new friends along the way Friday is trying to stop her anxiety worries getting in the way of her time at hero high. There was a little more excitement in this book but it still fell a little flat for me, but when I picked up the book I didn’t put it down until I was finished.
Bargaining by Mina Chara is book 3 in the series and is a 4 star read. This book finds Friday fighting against everyone, not sure who is on the side of good or bad, her friendship with Jake is suffering and she’s getting closer to Ashley, but everyone has secrets, can Friday save the day without getting hurt? This was a quick read and I enjoyed catching up with Friday and seeing how her superhero power would stand up against everyone else’s. The ending fell a little flat for me and I’m hoping there’s more to come.

This was a wonderful collection of Hansel & Gretel stories. Some of these were what I expected and others were so different I almost had to reread some of them. I enjoyed each one of these and now I’ve found a few more authors I hadn’t heard of before. The authors have done an amazing job of writing their version of Hansel and Gretel. I would highly recommend reading these stories. The anthology sticks to the conventions of the fairy tale including gingerbread houses, witches, being lost in the woods and trying to find your way back home with breadcrumbs. Some of the stories are truly frightening, but in a good way. There is romance sprinkled in too, sweetening the pot. The stories and authors are:

I absolutely loved this book! This is the second book in this series and it was just as good if not better than the first. This author seems to know everything that a good book needs and has nailed it on every single book that I have read by her. I feel like I am living the story with the characters and I get to experience it right along with them. I enjoyed the characters and the love and major chemistry they had between them. There was struggle and heartache and I enjoyed every minute of it. I am looking forward to reading more of this series and more by this author in the future! Happy Reading!

Deleted by Ruth Mitchell is a suspenseful and original story that had me hooked right from page 1. The author has created such an intriguing concept. I found the whole book to be well thought out exciting to read. It felt like I never quite knew what might happen to Lucy which meant that I was on the edge of my seat for a lot of it. This is one of the mouse interesting, cat and mouse type stories that I have read, the whole book was just amazing. It is the first book that I have read by this author but it certainly will not be the last. I would highly recommend this book!
Friday Fitzsimmons is a 17 year old girl going to a new school, but she is no ordinary girl, she has superpowers and she is about to start Hero High in Icon City.
We meet Friday as she is flying to Icon City, so that she can support her family back home. Friday is anxious and shy, but is determined not to let them down. She arrives and is thrown straight into the glamour and all encompassing life that being a student at Hero High entails. There are reporters, photographers and video cameras ready to beam her student life to the world through their own reality TV show. She and the other students are tested, grouped and placed with a mentor, before finally getting to meet the head teacher and see where they are going to live for the foreseeable future. As Friday and the other students get used to their new life, as well as the rules, disappointments, advantages and disadvantages that come with it, they develop as people and have experiences they could never have dreamed of before this all started. We follow Fridays adventures in this trilogy as she gets to grips with her new life, friends, classes and powers, as well as the life that comes with them.
The book starts as an interview with Friday and this style is intermittently dispersed throughout the book, where we learn tidbits that cannot be explained within the storyline. We meet and learn about the characters she comes into contact with and how all these relationships develop. This is done extremely well and keeps you guessing right up until the end. It is an easy to follow story and flows very well, the “interview” sections do not disrupt this too much and do add to the story. Various themes are explored throughout the story and deal with the emotional conflicts and turmoil that come along with these themes.It is a complex and engaging story that leaves you wanting more at the end and is a series that I want to finish.

And The River Runs Deep: The Cold Case Murder Mystery of Leah Marcus by A.J. Ullman. I LOVED this book. Its a crime mystery based on a true story. Its the story of the murder of Leah Marcus and how her boyfriend at the time Damon Allbright was tried for the offense. 10 years after the crime, the crime reporter of the Cincinnati Tribune who covered the case wants to reopen the case. He’s determined to find out what really happened. Leah was a 17 year old wealthy white girl who wanted to be a pediatric neurosurgeon and was amazing on the piano. Damon was the all star point guard at their high school, had an amazing singing voice and was African American. His father was the Pastor at one of the major Baptist Churches in town. Leah was murdered and raped, beat up and strangled and when Damon was taken in for questioning the whole town went nuts. There were race riots and when Damon’s DNA was found in Leah’s body they charged him with the crime. Will the reporter find out what really happened to Leah and will Damon be freed? Will this crime tear up this city? This book is amazing and warning it will keep you reading until you are finished!
