Having read a few books by this author now I am always quite certain that I am in for a good read and Call of the Alpha was no exception! It was a fantastic read and possibly my favourite by Ms May so far! I was completely captivated by Rylie and Mason’s story from the very beginning. The chemistry between the two characters was electric and I have to say I was definitely rooting for them the whole way through! I loved Mason!! From the very beginning I was drawn to his character and the connection that the two characters had for me felt so real and genuine at all times, in my opinion they were the perfect match! I am definitely looking forward to more to come from this series! I highly recommend it!

REWIND Boxed Set (Rewind Series Books 1-4) By Rowan Shaw 5 out of 5 stars
The box set Rewind by Rowan Shaw includes four stories that are wonderful to read. I love that the setting for the stories is in France. They are stories that deal with love and self-acceptance. Each story has two amazing main characters as they deal with their everyday lives and also their growing attraction to each other. The stories are emotional and had my emotions going up and down the entire time I was reading them. There are heartbreaking moments as well as heartwarming ones as well. There are also additional characters that I enjoyed reading about their interactions with the main characters. Will love be found? Read these stories to find out. The stories also show how the characters deal and react to those who judgmental about them and the lives they lead. Don’t miss out reading this boxset as once you start it is very hard to put down. Highly recommended.

This is a four book box set that you don’t want to miss. This is a series that takes place in France that has love, M/M and diversity as each relationship develops and grows. I loved each book as well as the awesome characters. They are creative stories with characters that show you that is okay to be who you are and still find love. Their chemistry and friendships are strong and independent which makes them the great characters they are. They stole my heart and I know they will steal yours too. I highly recommend this must read box set.

5-Stars
REWIND Boxed set (Rewind Series Books 1-4) By Rowan Shaw is an excellent collection of several steamy Romance reads. The stories within all feature characters that are developed well and have great personalities. The stories themselves have an easy to follow plot and climax. They flow from the first page to the last making it difficult for readers to put down. I also love how descriptive Rowan Shaw is with the scenery and the background of each character. These are great books and I absolutely love that they are available in a collection. I highly recommend them.

These books are a great read. They follow 4 people and their relationships as well as all the trouble and hatred they have to overcome to be happy and to be with the person they want to be with.
The themes covered in the books have been written really well and shows you an insight into the things and hatred a person who is gay/bisexual has to deal with on a daily basis.
All of the stories are heartwarming but also sad in parts but love will win out.

The Runaround: A Carolina Connections #6, by Sylvie Stewart. Let me start off by saying I have read every single book in The Carolina Connections Series and I have absolutely loved them all!!! This book was no different. This is the sixth book in the series and I think they just keep getting better and better!! The chemistry between Jax and Ari is great. Since they first met, the flirting and little jabs with each other was definitely there. I couldn’t put this book down and I just couldn’t get enough of these two. I can not wait for more!!!

A Sun So Bright (Reigning Hearts Book 3) by KG Fletcher. Once again this author knows the way to my heart. I’ve loved just about everything from this author and this story was no different, I was completely hooked from start to finish. Fiona and Chris will be on my mind for a while. At first I wasn’t entirely sure how I felt about Fiona but she very quickly grew on me , where as Chris was almost a love at first…read haha. Both characters are written with such details and the emotions they go through are felt deeply by readers at least that was my experience. It’s a well written story and I loved every minute of it. Paced nicely with characters you can relate to and connect with. Five stars all the way and highly recommended!

Mountains Climbed (Mountains Series Book 2) by Phoebe Alexander is the continuing erotic tale where there is much angst and longing, heartache and pain. You need to read Mountains Wanted first because it continues on from it. Phoebe has once again given us a thought-provoking story of one’s sexual journey and of what some will see as taboo. It is a great story, but it is such an emotive story that you feel everything the characters are feeling. Phoebe has once again given us a story that is beautifully written and an erotic contemporary romance that you will love from start to finish. I was so drawn within the story that I read it in one sitting.
Sarah has to learn to live without the love of her life which is heart-breaking within itself, but she also has to learn that she must adjust her way of thinking when it comes to the needs of her children. Even though she tried to move on, she could not help what her heart wants but there is only so much she can take before she finally gives up.
James is on an overseas deployment and can’t help but think of the one woman who opened his eyes, he knows he should only focus on his fiancée, but Sarah holds a place in his heart and needs her in his life. Unfortunately, it is too little too late, and he may have lost the greatest thing to ever happen to him.
I can’t wait to read the next book to see if my suppositions are founded.

I loved dynamic between Holly and Levi. And the characters are set up beautifully. Holly heads home after an illness ends her music career early and seeing Levi again reminds her of their past…and her feelings. Feelings she tries to put on the back burner while she tries to fix her relationship with her sister Susan and Susan’s husband Steve. But those feelings along with family secrets cannot be hidden…or ignored. The family dynamic in this book is amazing!! It’s well written, well thought out, and fantastically full of feelings. A first by this author for me, but definitely not the last!!!

Jake Wolfe Series Bundle Box Set: (Books 1-2-3) Vigilante Justice Thriller Series by Mark Nolan – Review by Gail Guerrero
Five Stars
These books were too good to put down. Every page was full of something intriguing. The characters alone made the story good. There is so much you learn about Jake. The author really throws it all together in a beautiful package. I didn’t know if I would like these stories. The author surprised me with how well they were written and how he kept it interesting and not too detailed. I felt like every book gave you so much more than what you expected. Jake is an all around good guy with a lot of bad boy in him. I read these books in one sitting because I was that invested and involved. I was grabbed by the throat and hog tied to these stories. We all get tired and ready to settle down. So when Jake decided to be a better person life got in the way. The mystery and adventure aspects were my favorite. I couldn’t really guess who was doing what. I also liked that the author gave Jake humor. Overall I 100% advise you to get these books.

Jules is a specialist who is dedicated to her work and is pretty much a workaholic. She’s had a lot of rocky moments over the years, and the rockiest being the recent passing of her mother. She has been no stranger to loss over the years and because of it, she keeps to herself and works hard to keep balance in her life. Her love of science has fueled her compassion to doing the right thing and helping wherever she can. For her, coming up with various healing antidotes, vaccines, and even new ways to fight biowarfare is everything. But when someone decides to knock her around and trigger memories she’s hidden, her world rocks again.
Trev is a military man who loves his career choice. He is dedicated to helping others, protecting them and fighting the good fight in every way he can. After all, once a Seal, always a Seal. For him, being apart of the Grey Ghost team means being with his family. The men and women he works with sharing the same values, protect at all costs. He’s always been the go-to guy for laughter, faithfulness, and loyalty. He learned the hard way that sometimes you have to open up and let others in. For him, being a chameleon of sorts, coming up with various ways to figure a situation out is everything. When he’s asked to take a special assignment, he didn’t expect it to be hers.
Together they have to figure out who wants to disrupt Jules’ life, hunt down a suspect in a possible terrorist scenario, play dodge and weave to figure out who really has it out to destroy many lives and finally, figure out where their attraction is headed. In the end, the twists are quick, the steam palpable and the mystery seems to never stop! I can surely say I had my suspicions on a few of the twists but when it all ended, it was like, holy cow! It was such a good mix of intrigue, intelligence, sexy hot moments and thrilling suspense. This was such a good book for me, I ended up binge-reading it and putting off sleep. I loved Jules and Trev!

This story was such a sweet, heartwarming, romantic story that I wanted to read in one night. Holly is going home for the holidays and with that comes a lot of unresolved issues with her family, her sister, and Levi. Holly also has something important about her health to tell her family. I loved the characters and the different dynamics they bring to the story with their different personalities. Holly and Levi had a one night stand but neither have forgotten about that night. This book is about forgiveness, healing and family being there for each other. I love the way this author weaves a story that touches my heart. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Taming Zane is the second book in the Almost Perfect series by Lisa Lanay and also just happens to be my second book by this author. Zane and Shannon meet on a plane to San Francisco, then spend a week getting to know each other while having some killer chemistry. Is this a one-week romance or can Zane and Shannon make a relationship happen if they live in two different cities?
This was a light-hearted and corny-sweet romance that had my attention from beginning to end. I can’t wait to see what this series has in store for me next!

I have read a couple of books by this author and she continues to surprise me. I love a good slow burn but this book exceeded all my expectations. This is the second book of the Almost Perfect series. This book can be read as a stand alone but you would also love the first book. I was so excited when I got this book I stopped everything and started to read it immediately. It only took me over a day to devour this incredible story.
Shannon McGregor is going on a trip to San Francisco. She has not traveled in years and she is a nervous flyer. Shannon was not expecting to meet a very handsome doctor. She is really shocked that Zane is actually interested in her. Shannon gets to San Francisco and she is having the time of her life but something happens to her. She doesn’t know what to do so she calls Zane. He comes to her rescue. Shannon ends up having to spend some time with Zane. They quickly realize that they could be more than friends but they live in two different places. Will Shannon be able to find a guy that will love her for her or will she end up alone again?

This is a wonderful story. All about second chances and really living every day. In here we meet Eden and Rhett. Both have a tragic past but one has learned from it and the other hides from it. Will they be able to meet in the middle and find each other?
The characters in here are a lot. We have the two main ones then a bunch of secondary characters. The couples (Devin/Kassie and Barrett/Adelaide) each really peaked my interest. They both made me wonder about their stories. The adopted family of Eden was great as well. They gave nice pushes to Eden when she needed them.
Overall this is a good story. The characters were nicely done. This is my first book by this author. She does a good job with the stories flow. The characters have depth to them that make them interesting.

The Runaround: A Single Dad Romantic Comedy is the sixth book in the Carolina Connections by Sylvie Stewart. One thing that sticks out with this story is the fact that Sylvie Stewart can mix humor and romance. It was a fun read. I have a crush on Jax as my book boyfriend. Stewart keeps the storyline light and engaging. Every once and a while it is nice to be able to read a story and forget life for a while. This story has a humorous plot line and a sweet romance as well. This story is about Jax and Ari and Jax’s daughter Ari. I encourage you to read this story and fall in love with Jax as well.

Taming Zane is book 2 in the Almost Perfect Series by Lisa Lanay. It is a romance novel, with a touch of humor, and can be enjoyed as a standalone novel. While it’s not so much of love at first sight, there is an instant connection between the characters, and I loved reading their story. The friendly banter and conversations they have, as well as jabs they make at each other are fun to read. It is realistic and entertaining. The story follows Shannon McGregor, single parent and Zane Taylor, single playboy doctor. They meet on a plane ride to San Francisco, where Shannon is heading for a week long trip ending in an interview. Zane is returning from a mission trip playing world doctor in a 3rd world country. While they come from opposite lifestyles, they instantly hit it off. I love that it was back and forth and you didn’t know how the story would end. Kept me engaged and read it quickly, because I needed to know the conclusion. Highly recommend both this and the first book, Loving Jake.

I shouldn’t of been surprised how brilliant this novel was as I’ve read many novels from her before and everyone has been brilliant I think I do have a soft spot for this story though. I loved each and every one of the character’s and I would absolutely recommend this read.

5 Star Mountains Wanted (Mountains Series #1) by Phoebe Alexander is an Amazingly written book that once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Once again this Author has outdone herself,, I never hesitate to pick up anything she writes because she’s a outstanding writer. Her style of writing pulls me in every time. Sarah and James are perfect for each other in the sense they both don’t want a relationship. Both of them want short term with lots of fun, but what will happen when that isn’t enough? These two have chemistry that is simply fire. Find out what happens next in this absolute must read.

A mysterious voice is heard in the minds of inhabitants across multiple within the vast multiverse of space and time……
This is an adventure of a swords master’s son, a powerful queen, a warrior, a college student from Earth, a reptilian humanoid scientist, and a wise leader of a utopian world that have to use all of their skills to battle evil forces that are bent on ensuring reality forms as they desire…..
We start the book as we enter all the different worlds, meeting all the different characters along the way, then a voice calls across the universe sounding in the heads of different people across the planets, which will bring characters together in a series of events.
Together they will take on mystery, betrayal and danger to make their way through the multi-universe and have an adventure through space.
This book is amazing and I love how the author connecting all these worlds and characters together, intertwining them making this a wonderful fantasy read. It is extremely detailed, so the guide at the beginning was really useful, but I enjoyed the fact that the story was complex, as it made me really concentrate on the characters.
I am really looking forward to the second book, it was beautifully written and an epic read. Would truly recommend.

The Flame and The Blade (Flame and Blade Book 1) by Meredith Hart. I’m a person who truly has to be in the mood for a fantasy type story, it’s seldom that I am but the cover intrigued me so I hopped in. And I’ve got to say I’m rather glad I did. From page one I was on an adventure with the story world created by this author. The characters are complex and relatable and you can connect easily with them. It’s got everything I need for a great fantasy read from action and magic to romance and laughter. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. The characters are well written and detailed nicely. Each character brings something unique to the storyline. I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this story a four star review and highly recommend it.

Broken by Love (The Full Circle Series) by MJ Masucci. There’s a few trouble areas I had with this story but all in all I enjoyed it. I didn’t have the easiest of time connecting with our characters but eventually I grew to like each one for different reasons. The storyline had great potential and a somewhat easy flow but I was a bit confused at times but I’ll be honest it didn’t lessen my enjoyment. I just wanted more depth to both characters and storyline. I do like that it is a stand-alone and truly has an ending. It’s paced nicely and kept me engaged. Each character has their story to tell and in the end I’d say I’d recommend this book. I’m giving it four stars and truly can’t wait to see what’s next.

Before the Second Show by Thia Finn. Emmy and Alex oh how they will be with me long after I finished reading this book. From page one I was completely hooked on their story. Each one gave me a million reasons to love their story. This author is new to me and I’ll definitely be back for more. Each character just draws you into their world and I never wanted to leave. The characters are complex, relatable and so well written I forgot I was reading at times. This book definitely has its hot scenes but it’s also got a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I loved every minute of it. The storyline is well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. And characters you can’t help but connect with. I’m giving this story a five star review and highly recommend. I’ll be adding it to my read again list for sure!

This book was such a great read. Sweet romance at its finest and I didn’t want to put it down. I was pulled right in because of all of its sweet and hilarious moments. Shannon and Zane are the main characters in this book and they just go together so well and their story gave me all the warm fuzzies. I enjoyed both of them and was rooting for their HEA from page one. I am looking forward to reading more by this author and I would recommend this to a friend. Happy Reading!

Call of the Alpha is the second book in The Powder River Pack Series by Brooke May. As expected, it is a fantastic paranormal romance, with shifters, action, drama, passion, secrets, and more. In this book we follow Mason Fischer, who is a shifter and Alpha of the Powder River Pack. He is a single father who is about to have his world turned upside down when biologist Rylie Press moves back into town. As with the first book, I have really enjoyed this instalment- and Ms. Mays take of the shifter/werewolf lore. I loved the first book, and am having a hard time deciding my favourite between the two- as this book is every bit as good as the first, if not better. I am really looking forward to more of this series.
