Knight Watch by Maddie Wade and India Kells is the first book in Alliance Agency series. This is a brilliant start to a new series by two authors that are absolutely fantastic.
This book is definitely action packed. The whole thing is such a whirlwind of a journey. It feels like you take everything single step with these characters, especially Sydney.
These authors have managed to combine their writing styles so successfully that for me you really couldn’t tell them apart. They worked so well together and have created a story that really is a must read. Having read this book and the prequel I cannot wait to see what else is to come.

I love a good suspense and this book had me enraptured quickly. I haven’t read anything from this author before and was very glad to have had this book find its way into my hands. Suspense that kept me on the edge of my seat. Snappy dialogue. Intriguing plot development. Relatable characters. All worthy qualities of a permanent addition to my personal library. Really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more in the series.

Hennessey On the Rocks is an engrossing and emotive read by the talented Monica DeSimone. This second chance romance had all the right ingredients needed to keep me hooked. From the interesting and endearing characters, to the wonderful story- full of drama, angst, secrets, discovery, emotion, romance, and humour- I was smitten right from the start.
Charlie and Jonathan were really great characters- enticing me into their story as everything unfolded, and even though they frustrated me at times, I was still cheering them on the whole way through. But it was a cute little 3 year-old who stole the whole show for me. She wasn’t just adorable- she was truly wise beyond her years. The banter and antics were funny and at times really heart-warming. This story wouldn’t have had the same impact without the addition of Abi, or Jace, that’s for sure.
I love the attention to detail, and the wonderfully descriptive scene setting Ms. DeSimone is so good at, and is superbly showcased here. It was so easy to visualize everything, right down to ‘hearing’ their ‘voices’- especially Abie’s cute 3 year-old way of saying things. There were quite a few memorable moments that makes this book one of my favourites of hers. And I can’t wait to try out the recipes from at the end of the book. Snicker-doodles….YUM!
But I really recommend having a box of tissues close at hand while reading, because this story is going to stir your emotions quite thoroughly!
I wonder what Ms. DeSimone has in store for us next?

I have read both of these authors before and liked them when they wrote books alone. For me when both these authors were on Deadly Alliance I jumped at the chance to read them both with one story. There are two agencies Fortis and Purgatory who offer covert services with their highly qualified operatives. Shane Rhodes is one of the operatives. He is a former Navy Seal who has had a lot of tragedies in his past, but he takes the murder of his best friend’s little sister personally. Emme is young but is working with Shane. They both are looking for revenge. Will there be barriers to keep them at bay? Will Shane’s and Emme’s skills be able to take out the threat? I highly recommend this story.

In Hang On To Your Shirt Tails by C.A. King we see the return of Tails and Brodie in the 2nd book in the Chasing Tails series. This series is a great example of Good Vs Evil, with Tails and Brodie being the good guys fighting against evil, in the form of Zeus.
This is a very fast paced fantasy novel that is over all too quickly for me. I loved being reacquainted with Tails and Brodie and getting the next part of their story now that they have escaped from the evil Zeus and are bringing up their adopted children in a remote location to keep them safe. Much of this story is centred around 2 of their children, Eliza and George. Eliza is a typical teenager and hates being confined to their safe location so decides to run away. She soon realises that grass is not always greener on the other side as she puts herself and her family in great danger. George is approaching his teenage years and his body decided it’s time that he shifts for the first time, adding even more danger for the family.
I loved Tails and Brodie even more in this book as they try to do everything to protect all their adopted children and at the same time, try to expand their family with children of their own.
This book is not the end of the story and we are left with everyone in grave danger. Will Tails and Brodie be able to save the day? I can’t wait for the next book in this series to see what C.A. King has in store for Tails and Brodie and their children.

Absolutely nothing wrong with this sweet sweet story. O’Malley has written a sweet easy read. Characters that have depth, characters that grow in just a short amount of time. And a story that includes a dog “angel”! Definite win!

I liked the way this story flowed. We were introduced to June first, along with her passion for the animals at the shelter. She comes across a little clumsy and unsure of herself. Then we are introduced to Graham and Maxine and they are “—perfect.” Graham is a kind hearted man who seems a little unsure of his awesome-ness as well. These two seem like the perfect match, but there is also Maxine to worry about.

I really enjoyed this cute story and recommend it to readers of any age.

Hidden Tracks by Zoe Lee a four-star read that will be music to your ears. This is my first story by this author, and I can’t wait to read more, there is promise to the writing that will whisk you away. Astrid was complex and intriguing, she has lived a life and got the t-shirt (a band one maybe but still, they are the best). The natural flow of the novel gave great pace and didn’t feel rushed or like it dragged, the pacing was well done. The balance of Seth and Astrid again was well done and made me smile. This is a light story with great heart, but there were also serious moments that challenge you. Overall a great story.

I really didn’t know what to expect when I picked up Paul DeBlassie III’s Goddess of the Wild Thing. It stands out from other books I have read as a rich paranormal fantasy that draws on spiritual and psychological ideas to create a fascinating world and gripping story.
DeBlassie’s descriptive writing particularly caught my attention, with the level of detail and vivid language used really painting a picture. At times, I felt this slowed down the progress of the story or made it hard to keep up, but at others it really painted a picture for me.
The central characters are a group of four women – Eve, Shirley, Tanya and Samantha. It’s nice reading a book where the characters are a bit older and have experienced more in their lives. The characters are strong and not afraid to disagree with each other which leads to some interesting conflicts. Although it’s a story about love, it’s good to have such a focus on friendships that outlast the ups and downs of romantic affairs.
For me, this is a four star book. I found it very interesting, and it was good to read something a bit different! I’d recommend it to fans of the paranormal who are after a book that will keep them on the edge of their seat.

I have so many thoughts after reading this author’s debut novel and I’m not sure how to put it all into words, so will try this:

What I loved –
I opened this book prepared for confusion, because debut novels a lot of times do this to me as an author settles in to their comfort zone, but what I love is that the writing felt like I was sitting at a table with this author and she was literally talking to me and telling me this story. That was awesome!

I also loved that I dont choose this genre yet found myself not being able to put this book down.

I loved that the absolutely beautiful cover made me one click but the authors words kept me totally invested in this story and the characters.

Speaking of the characters, Xen was Awesome! I loved her inner dialogue and her strength throughout all that was changing in her life.

I loved how easy and smooth this book felt and I enjoyed every word while reading it in one sitting.

What I didnt love –

ummmm…The next book is not available yet….

Yep that’s it …I can not recommend this book enough and I can not wait to read more from this author.

The story Evergreen by Mya O’Malley is a wonderful book to read. It has a storyline that kept my attention and characters that I fell in love with. The story pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let me go until the final page. I loved reading about June and Graham. June is an intelligent, caring, and kind person. She has not had success in relationships, so she has decided to find a canine for a companion. Then she meets Graham. After Graham meets June, he finds that he can’t stop thinking of her. There is an attraction between them. I also loved reading about Maxine, the Great Dane, who plays a part in this story. Maxine is affectionate and loves to show that affection to June and Graham. Will Graham and June act on their feelings for each other? When complications arise will their relationship survive? What will the future bring for June and Graham? Read this book to find out. This is a story that has heartwarming scenes and also times of conflict. The book is well-written and touched my heart. Don’t miss out on a wonderful story. I highly recommend this book.

I loved seeing Hope all grown up. She has been trained for the agency and so ready to conquer the world but gets slapped by her past and it wasn’t pretty.

I liked this book and the ending has me wondering what’s going to happen next. I did feel like something was missing, but can’t quite figure out what it is. I’m hoping that I find it in the next book.

A great read about protection. Xenobia Valdis is an alien being who helps young women out of situations and runs her own company. One day, a man comes into her house with a strange request to save his daughter. Xenobia agrees to help but events unravel and soon she has policemen at her door digging for the truth. Can she make sure her girls stay safe?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns. Well developed characters like Xenobia determined but caring underneath or Matt with a gruff exterior but kind interior. Great cast of supporting characters like the supportive Maggie or the mysterious Javier
However soemtimes it felr like there were too many girls and characters to keep track of which could have been reduced. .
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like with Xenobias and her blue skin and black eyes making her otherworldly and fascinating and beautiful. Or with the cabin later on with the trees and the lake and the quiet for a sense of peace away from everything. Or the dreams with their sights and sounds so vivid it’s a sid you’re actually there.
A great example of world building with fantatsical creatures living alongside humanity with their own rules and laws and societies. I liked Xenobias creature as was something different to the fantasy genre.
The switch of perspectives worked well to display all the different sides of the story and was easy to follow with names in chapter titles. The only issue I would raise is that the book felt more centered on romance than the supernatural which may deter some readers. There were also some long sentences in places that were hard to read which could be resolved with a variety of sentence lengths. Overall, a great read and I would give it four stars.

Excellent book from these two fantastic authors. I cannot wait to see how the series continues.

Stars Fall From the Sky is the 2nd book in the Reigning Hearts series by K.G. Fletcher. While it does follow Run to the Sea, it could be a stand alone book. The characters overlap, but this is a full story, with enough detail that you would still enjoy it. It is a beautiful story of second chances and finding love again after loss. The story follows Ginger McCormick after the loss of her high school sweetheart husband. If it weren’t for her newborn daughter, she probably wouldn’t even get out of bed in the morning. She slowly finds her way out of grief, and back into living her life. Much from the help of Jonathan Walden, the town doctor. He too is grieving the loss of his wife earlier in the year. They lean on each other to cope and mend their broken hearts. They hit it off straight away, and developed a quick friendship. But it seemed fate kept bringing them together. Perhaps each other are just what they need to move on and love again. Highly recommend this story. It was really sweet and I didn’t want to put it down. There is a shocker toward the end, but without giving it away, I’ll just say, I did NOT see that one coming!

Stalking the Stalker was a thrilling 5 star read and book two in the Valley View Mysteries series.
I was pulled in right from the beginning with a murder in the prolugue. We then go back two weeks prior. We get drama, secrets, mystery, etc.

Tyler Channing comes to Valley View for a production, things take a twist when his stalker also shows up. An investigation starts when a body is discovered. I really loved the fact that it kept me guessing throughout the whole book on who the murdered could be. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story.

I was drawn in by Laura Hawks writing and I couldn’t stop until I was done. If your looking for a murder mystery that pulls you in this is the book for you. 1-click and get started today.

Diamonds & Deception (Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 3) by Ellen Butler was an excellent read. I loved how the author opens up the story at the beginning. I also loved that this novel can be read as a standalone. The storyline was inspiring, mysterious, and fun. It easily flowed from start to finish and kept my attention. I enjoyed the various characters and how much thought went into them. They were realistic and developed well. The various scenes were also descriptive enough to picture myself as a bystander watching the events take place. I was very impressed with this authors writing style and how addicted I was to the book. I highly recommend it.

Ricochet by Kathryn Berla. This is an awesome young adult, science fiction story. Its the story of 17 year old Tati who doesn’t know her whole world is about to be turned upside down. It begins with her sending off a saliva sample to Ancestry.com and when the sample comes back inconclusive she’s left wondering what is wrong with her. She begins to have convulsions and during these convulsions she sees a tunnel beckoning her and in these tunnels she finds another version of herself. She actually finds there are 3 other versions of herself, Ana who is quiet and shy, Tatyana who is always getting her way and Tanya who is always running from everything and everyone. When these worlds collide the 4 of them have to work together so that they can all survive. This is a fast paced, action story and you have to pay attention because it goes back and forth between characters. I really enjoyed it and I think you will too!

Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a unique and interesting story. It is a fast paced story that is told from multiple points of view I really enjoyed how, even though it were essentially the same character we were reading about, the four girls were all different. I really felt a similarity about them while also see the differences.
The story itself was exciting although a little confusing at time’s. Once I had got a handle on the characters it was much easier to follow and everything fell into place. I thought the book was well written and really drew me me.
This is definitely a book I would recommend and I hope to see more like this from this author.

This is I believe my 2nd book by this author and I truly did enjoy it..It had a lot of moving parts and I got confused a couple times but was able to catch back on pretty quick. I also thought I had it all figured out like 10 times lol only to be wrong 9 of them.

Poor Louise was a complete mess LOL and her poor daughter Mackenzie, I loved her character and how she handled everything that was happening with her Mom, her Dad and just everything involved.

This was a great story and I became invested quite early and read it in one sitting. This would have been a 5 star book for me had I not lost the story a couple times but like I said I caught back up pretty quick.

I am definitely looking forward to more books from this author.

Courage of Us is the first book in the code of Honor series by Brooke May. I have read a few of Ms. May’s books now and love the way she brings her characters to life, and how easily she is able to get her readers invested in both the story and the characters. Her characters are so realistic and entirely believable. It’s like I have known them for years, instead of only the few hours I was immersed in their story. I love Ms. May’s emotive and inviting style and the way she is able to make me ‘feel’ everything her characters have, and are, going through. I really felt for Patience and Duke and was rooting for them the whole way through. I really wanted them to find their HEA, together.
This is a wonderful second chance contemporary military romance, with emotion, pain, struggles, chemistry, drama, realism, courage, and more.
Ms. May delivers on all the promise held in the blurb, and then some. Now I am really looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Bring on Book #2!

Ricochet by Kathryn Berla is a must read for those who likes YA science fiction stories. Berla grabbed at the very beginning of the story. The story encompasses mystery, science fiction, adventure, and some interesting characters. This book is told in different POV and the transitions between them are smooth and not choppy. This story is about Tati who sent a saliva sample to a DNA ancestry testing site. From that moment Tati’s world is turned upside down. Will Tati get to the bottom of her DNA information? What does Ricochet mean to Tati? I highly recommend this book.

I give Stalking the Stalker (Valley View Mysteries Book 2) by Laura Hawks, 5 stars.

This is a great mystery whodunit that caught me by surprise in the beginning and kept surprising me the whole way through. First off, it leads with the death first. I love this concept. The author does not draw things out, making us wait. Boom, murder first. Then we go back in time leading up to the murder, then finally afterwards and the investigation. If have read mysteries like this before, some of them where not nearly as clean as this one. But the author does this so well. The victim herself wasn’t really innocent and became someone most people couldn’t even imagine. Now it comes to the suspects. The more Detective Mitchell looks into it, the higher the suspect list becomes.

A whodunnit at heart, there is also possible love blossoming along the way to make this even more intriguing. The people are great too, every one different, and many have motives. I didn’t guess who it was until the end. This is also the type of book that makes you feel torn about the victim. Yes, she was murdered, but she was doing some pretty crazy things. But was she really crazy or did something drive her to it? I believe you could sit down and argue about her for a long time. Which again, make this book all the better.

A shorter read, I finished this book in one night. If you are a fan of whodunit mysteries, this book is definitely for you. I cannot wait to read the next one.

The story REVIVE (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw is the next book in a series that I have loved since the first story. The book had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading. I loved reading about the characters of Patrick and Brandon. They have an attraction to each other. One problem, Patrick is Brandon’s new therapist. What will happen next? Will they just a professional relationship or will they give in to their feelings for each other? What does the future hold for Patrick and Brandon? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job of making you feel what the character does. There are other characters that are introduced and I enjoyed their interactions with the main characters. This is a story that you will not be able to put down until the last page, I found myself reading far into the night. Find out if two people who don’t do relationships fall for each other. The book can be read as a standalone. I personally would read each book as the series is they are wonderful and amazing. I highly recommend reading the story.

This book was great! I was sucked in from the very first page and I didn’t want to put it down until I got to the very last page. The authors writing was good and she made her characters so relatable and they came alive on the pages. Xen is the main character and she gets her second chance to start her life over on earth. She soon realizes that danger is growing nearer, her secrets could be exposed. She is a great character and I loved her from the beginning. I am very impressed that this is the authors debut novel and I am looking forward to reading future books by her!
I would recommend this book to a friend!

This collection of short steamy reads from LM Mountford has to be one of my new favorites by far. I love having a set of shorts like this on my kindle ready to go for those doc visits where I am waiting forever, and there are lots of those instances in my life. Be prepared though, this one is hot, as you can tell from the cover, it will give you some moments of hot flashes and the nervous sweat…. “Can they tell what I am reading!?!” Yeah, I had a lot of those moments lol.

I was actually excited that I had seen some of these before because they were paired with equally great reads in this set. LM Mountford has a way with writing short stories. They are not very detailed with complicated story lines. Rather, she focuses on the feeling and entertainment part of the storytelling with the shorts. I personally like the break from deep story lines, especially if my life is chaotic or I am invested in a long and detailed book as well.

Deliciously Sinful Liaisons has seven shorts that literally take you on adventures that will run the gambit. Everything from mafia princess love to paranormal and vampire storylines are covered so a little something for everyone. Each of the books included are as follows;

*Broken
*Just Once
*Valentine Misadventure
*Together in Sydney
*Training Tracey
*Blood Lust
*Sweet Temptations

My favorite one in this collection has to be Just Once. In that one we have friends to lovers scenario and I found it to be just a feel good sweet and sexy romance I couldn’t put down. I am hoping that there will be more collections of shorts from Ms. Mountford in the near future.

This is one of those books that when it’s all said and done, your heart just feels lighter. It’s one of those stories about taking that second chance in hopes to heal the pain. You couldn’t help but feel for both Duke and Patience and what they went through in their past, ESPECIALLY Patience. This book was so beautifully written and I didn’t want it to end. I look forward to reading more for Brooke May
