Higher Elevation Series : Books 1-3 by Renee Regent. I’m always happy to see box sets because I love reading books all at once. This set of stories had me on the edge of my seat with its suspense. Each story has relatable characters that draw you into their world and you can’t help but want to stay. I was completely hooked from page one of each story they all had me guessing right up until the end. If you’re looking for a series to sink into I highly recommend this series. It’s well written and paced nicely never feeling rushed or lacking anything. Each story will have you turning the pages as fast as possible to see where it’s all going. Five stars all the way and I can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next.
This is my first book by this author, I loved it. This was a page turner from the beginning and kept me engaged to the last page. It has great details that makes it feel realistic. The twists and turns made me sitting on the edge of my seat almost from the start. What turns out to be a night of reunion turns into a night of revenge. Will Issac get his revenge? He is a great character that has paid his dues and now just wants to be normal. I highly recommend finding out what happens next.

I love this book. This series gets better and better. I highly recommend reading the previous books in this series. One of my favorite things about this author is how she can pull me into her story, keep me engaged and takes me on an adventure of action and suspense. Hope joins the organization of her dreams until she was left for dead. Will she heal and find the hope she needs? Great characters and great twists and turns. This is a must read, I highly recommend it.

I loved this book. This author continues to impress me with her attention to detail and her engaging plots. I highly recommend reading the previous books, you won’t regret it. Charlotte is a journalist who uncovers some deaths at the Hall. The closer she becomes. the truth she realizes that things may not be as they seem. When a fire breaks out, she is among the missing. This is a page turner that I read in one sitting. This is a must read, I highly recommend it.

Fisher Men on the X was a great 5 star read. Boy where to start with this review, I loved it and didn’t want it to end. This is Becca and Zack’s story.
Becca and Zack met when she was 7 years old, Zack made a commitment to always keep Becca safe. When Zack left, Becca felt abandoned and was heartbroken. When Becca was sent away to learn how to be a woman, Zack and his family rescued her.
From there the story takes so many directions my head was spinning. Becca goes through several learning phases, once she becomes an adult she decides to join the military. Throughout the years Becca and Zack are very close. Zack has always kept Becca at arms length, until one day things between them change.
Lost girls can be found
These two are so perfect for each other. They have the same strength and have scars they are working to get past. My emotions were all over the place. I think my favorite LOL moment was when all the women got drunk, it was classic. If your looking for a great read with some great characters you grow to love very quickly than 1-click and get started on this one. I am definitely putting it on my 2019 must read list.

Matt’s Swirly World is a beautifully illustrated short story designed to help parents deal with children’s behavioral issues in a healthy way. I think the illustrations will draw children’s attention and give parents a few talking points with their children. I don’t quite think the wording will hold the attention of the younger age range this book was written for, but their parents will understand and use the language to explain what is going on throughout the book. The use of dragons to teach breathing techniques is extremely smart. And I love the game of counting cars to engage the child in something fun and constructive.

I loved being able to see the Hill family again in this book, and finally Jennings book! You don’t need to read the other books to read and follow this book. This story had something that I’ve not read about but maybe once or twice before, and it was done so well. Jennings, i knew he was a big teddy bear under all the quick witted comebacks and sarcasm. He and Ashley had some history and I was so hooked on how this was going to play out. And I loved seeing the other brothers in this story, even if they were just small interactions. The chemistry was off the charts here, they just needed to open their eyes and see it. Can’t wait for more from this author.

The Fisher Men On the X (Fisher Men Book III) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was impossibly to put down! I would give this book a five out of five stars. After reading the second book I just had to jump in and see what else could happen in this universe. I have to say this book took me on a journey I did not expect and I could not put the book down. I did not expect to feel as much as I did for these two characters. I enjoyed the plot immensely and I feel like I would be rereading this book multiple times in the future.

The Fisher Men X-ing Lines (Fisher Men Book II) by Rebel Nicks O’Dey was super steamy read! I would give this book a four out of five stars. I was hooked by the plot and could not wait to dive in. The steam in this book was only rivaled by the back and forth banter. I loved Conner and Rika’s interactions and was pulled in immediately.

I found Ashley so relatable as a character. Running away, fiercely independent, and over the small town gossip. This is the third book in the Karina Cardinal series. It can be read as a stand-alone as the story stands on it’s own, but the recurring characters are developed in the beginning of the series. While you will be able to settle into the story, I think it’s best if the series is read in order.
I’m now used to the protagonist’s intricate nature and quirks, so some things don’t come as a surprise. There are quite a few times that things are not as they seem and the intrigue and adventure move fluidly through out the story.
DIAMONDS & DECEPTION was a little bit slower in the beginning than the previous two stories, stick with it because the pace does pick up.
I recommend this book, this series and this author.

Hang On To Your Shirt Tails (Chasing Tails Book 2) by C.A. King was an excellent and exciting read. I love this addition to the series! I was hooked from the beginning. I think I may have enjoyed this book more than book one. As seen in the first book with these characters, King does an excellent job in their development. Her imagination and creativity shine through and it is easy to visualize the characters. I also loved the descriptive settings and how organized the story was. This is an easily a 5-star read and I highly recommend it!

This book drew me in from the beginning. The character descriptions and world building was absolutely mesmerizing. I was taken on a wonderful adventure into a multiverse with such great detail that I felt like I was there. This book is definitely not a quick read, it’s a book that you need to pay attention to. The author did an extraordinary job intertwining and connecting the worlds and characters into a fantastic story. I have actually read this book twice already because I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any details and I loved it just as much the second time around. This was a great read and I highly recommend this book.

I have to say that this is my favorite book in the Fisher Men series by author Rebel Nicks O’Dey. On the X was the first book in the series that I wasn’t totally lost reading. The style of the author’s writing seems to be progressing nicely and it’s making it easier to follow along. If you are starting this series it is necessary to read the first two books before this one, probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to read the interconnecting series about the Fisher sister and friends either. I loved Zack and Becca, Becca was a true hero, forged in fire and set in stone. Zack was exactly who she needed him to be for her to become the strong woman she was. There were many scenes where I laughed, cried and cheered this book had it all and it was a pleasure to read it. I look forward to the next book in the series to see how Morgan makes out and if we will ever find out who the casual observer is. I have an idea but I could be wrong!

A Dark Sparrow Box Set by India Kells My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Such a great set of books. The story in each book is filled with steamy romance, drama and action making for an excellent read, and this is only the first 3 of the six brothers!
In these books Lazarus King recruits Beatrice, his friend and the woman in charge of sending people out on dangerous rescue missions. Lazarus’ mission? To save all his bastard brothers from their father, Jamieson Finch.
The first books is about Aleksei and Deva. Deva is such a strong woman. The way she pick up the pieces of her life after getting out of her father’s grip is admirable. When she chooses to help with wounded soldier’s rehab because of her brother, my heart melted, she is an amazing woman. When she meets Aleksei, it is no walk in the park. He pisses her off with almost everything he says but she still can’t deny the attraction they have.
The second book is about Zoe and Archer. I just love Zoe. She is such a strong, independent, beautiful woman yet she is fragile and slightly self conscious. I am super impressed with her skills as a translator. The chemistry between her and her new boss Archer is off the charts. My heart breaks for Zoe, as sometimes she feels like she is not good enough for a man like him and then other times I want to scream at them both to just communicate better! The drama that unfolds with Archer’s new business buy out and Zoe’s brother is super exciting and along with all the action, fighting and plotting, really gave the book that extra edge. The secondary characters are very lovable and just as interesting to get to know. I would highly recommend this book and I personally can not wait to read Kai and Izzy’s story.
The third book is Izzy and Kai. Kai’s father is a douche and Kai will stop at nothing to bring his father’s company down while also dealing with his feelings for Izzy. Izzy was brought in to help bring Kai’s father’s business down but at the same time her past secrets are revealed. Izzy is a strong woman, and her personality had me loving her from the very beginning.
These books can all be read as stand alones but they are MUCH better read in order, because they are all as equally amazing as the next one.

Right back into the thick of it again with Karina. I once again as not disappointed and was glued to the pages. I really like to read out of my favorite genre and this was a good read. I find the author to have a very refreshing style and draws the reader in.
I really like the investigative reporting angle and I like how the drama and the intrigue flow through the book. The characters jump off of the pages and draw the reader in wanting more. I like how the author brings realism to the characters. I also really relate to Karina and I find that the author really brings her to life. I look forward to reading more from this author and this series.
My Life Series: Prequel to The Brothers of Camelot by Necie Navone. This is probably one of my very favorite box sets. It made me fall in love with Necie Navone! This series is so full of emotion, romance, suspense, and mystery that you fall in love with the characters. My Hidden Life is the first book and its the beginning of a wonderful journey. I would read these in order to get the most of them. This first book is so important because it introduces you to Alessandra Canzano The Princess of the Canzano family and everyone is looking out for her. This is a mafia series set in Italy and it takes on the journey of Alessandra’s life. When she was at her 6th birthday party a rival family left her injured by a shooting and so terrified. Her Uncle immediately started training her to never let anything like that happen again. While she is training to be a fighter she is also trying to be a normal Princess. She has to keep her friends thinking she is just a normal child. Book 2 is My Tragic Life and its the continuation of Alessandra and the Canzano Family. In this book she is training each day and getting better and better. She is also becoming older and not wanting to follow all the strict rules that her father The Cappo puts in place. She must always come off as polished and perfect and also be ready to protect the family. She dreams of the freedom to where she can dress how she wants and be friends with who she wants. When another strike against her family happens she is ready to protect them with everything she has. Book 3 is My Free Life and Alessandra leaves for University and she has become the Cappo Donna. Her life is anything but free. She is in charge of her family and businesses in Italy and her father is not happy about it. She is working on an escape but there are so many obstacles in her way. Her father has become a monster because he can’t control her any longer and she is dying to leave. Will she ever be truly free. These books are so full of so many emotions. There is drama, action, romance and some comedy in this amazing book set. Do yourself a favor read them all today!

I was absolutely glued diving back into the shifter world created by C.A. King. This is the second book and I wasn’t disappointed. I really find the author’s style to be quite refreshing and aluring. The characters are very unique and their world is brought to life through the book.
Tails and Brodie have their hands full in this book. I really found that the author balanced the drama in this book and how it continued from the first to be very good. Their lives definitely got a few curves thrown at them in this book. I found that the author created quite the unique world and dealt with issues from the real world was very enlightening. I found the humans treatment of shifters really mirrors present day bias. I cannot wait to read more from this author and this series. I am anxious to see how this story will continue.

Hang On To Your Shirt Tails (Chasing Tails Book 2) by C.A. King. This is the second installment of the Chasing Tails saga. I highly recommend reading the first book before to understand this one. Its the continuing story of Tails and Brodie and they have their hands even more full now with the adopted children. Its been a full time job helping them adjust . They’ve moved on in isolation for security reasons but that has brought on its own set of problems. The things they have given up are harsh and not everyone is willing to do that. Leaving “The Club” is almost impossible and believing the war is over is a huge mistake. These headstrong kids are in for the fight of their lives. Brodie and Tails will do anything to protect their family! Will they survive? This is a fast paced roller coaster ride of a book and I loved it.

In this book we find Johnny on the case of a cheating spouse. However things aren’t as simple as they seem. When his client Mary- Ann is run of the road in her car things start taking a dangerous twist.
Add into the mix, the fact her husband works for a company that has links with the DoD, he is having an affair with his colleague who is a pretty blonde but is also ruthless and deadly, and the FBI doing an investigation on them as well. It all makes Johnny’s routine cheating spouse gig a lot more complicated.
This story is an adventure that keeps you gripped from page one.

Heartless by Jennifer Sucevic was an excellent and fun read. Hunter and Skye were excellent main characters that were developed well and realistic. I loved their description and had no difficulty picturing them. The storyline was easy to follow and addictive. I loved friendship, family, romance, strength and determination woven into it. It was organized and edited well.
The author had me hooked from page one and I could not put this book down. Skye and Hunter were once a couple but split at the end of high school which basically shattered them. Now Skye has returned and things are very different. Definitely check this book out! I highly recommend it.

When I first read the book’s description I knew I was in for a treat and From the very first page, I was hooked and could not stop until the very end and once I reached the end I was sad and immediately wanted to read it again. The Characters were very well rounded and able to relate to. This is the first book by Kadie Scott I have read but it will not be my last. I couldn’t get enough. Ashley was everything a woman should be feisty yet sweet. Jennings is the Epitome of a sexy Cowboy!

Diamonds & Deception is the third book in the Karina Cardinal Mystery series by Ellen Butler. It is a great mystery- with drama, danger, intrigue, tension, action, suspense, and more. Even though this is the third book in the series it can be read as a standalone without feeling like you are missing part of the story. But by not reading the first two books, you would be denying yourself some really great stories- and some recurring character introduction, backstories, and other information that would enhance your overall reading experience. Karina Cardinal is a lawyer turned lobbyist in Washington D.C. She’s smart, controlled, spirited, independent and hard-working. She and her old college friend, Mike, turned their friendship into a relationship, but they’ve hit a bit of a rough patch of late and things start off a bit grim. So, when Karina’s sister Jillian calls her to help out a friend, the two sisters are drawn into a mystery which has them both questioning what is really going on. And when trouble comes calling, and you know it will, because Karina seems to attract it- will she call on Mike for help? Or is this the beginning of the end for them? With a diamond heist, danger, secrets, lies, multiple layers, surprising developments, and so much more to the whole situation than they ever suspected- you know you are in for a very intense ride. As with the other two books, this is a really great story- but started off a little ‘slow’ in the beginning and I felt my attention wandering a bit in the first third of the book. But once the pace picked up, things really started flowing and the ‘action’ drew me in. Again, the characters are really well developed, crafted into fully realised individuals with their own personalities, quirks, and flaws. And all added to the overall storyline. There is a “heavier” topic highlighted in this book, which I won’t go into here because I don’t want to spoil the story- but Ms. Butler definitely shone a light on it in a realistic and informative manner- but also with some sensitivity. I can imagine writing about such things would be easy- but again Ms. Butler doesn’t shy away from difficult subjects. She proves time and again what a great storyteller she is. I am definitely looking forward to more from Ellen Butler!

Another homerun for this author and this must read series. This author crept up on me back with Isabella’s Painting which is what got me hooked on her. This was an awesome addition to this series and Karina continues to be one of my favorite characters ever. I have also quickly fallen for the Silverthorne Security guys, I love everything about the interaction between them and Karina. Another series with them would not disappoint me in any way.
This story was just another Karina getting in the middle of a mess, thanks to her sister and at no fault of her own. She just seems to fall into these circumstances that draw her in and she can’t seem to say no. I love her! Something else I really love about these books is the relationship between Mike and Karina… It’s there, you know its there but its not the main focus, which makes these books refreshing to read.
I love this author and I highly recommend reading all of these in order so you can appreciate the many different aspects of this book.

Claiming The Cowboy For Christmas is the 4th book in the Hills Of Texas series by Kadie Scott. I have to say that this has been my favourite book in the series, although I have loved the others. This is a beautiful friends to lovers romance with a bit of a difference. Ashley Hughes has come home to be bridesmaid at her twin sister’s wedding…to her ex. Added to that her best friend from childhood, Jennings Hill, who she fell out with due to her relationship with her ex, will be there. Jennings has been in love with Ashley since they were 14 and is out to convince her that he is the right man for her. One issue being that Jennings is convinced she’s still in love with her ex. I absolutely loved the characters of Ashley and Jennings. Ashley is trying so hard to prove to everyone that she isn’t still in love with Eric while fighting with the feelings she has for Jennings. Jennings is actually such a sweetheart, I totally adored him. The outward façade of the big tough cowboy hides a sweet, romantic man at heart. The storyline flows really well and is very realistic and believable. I loved the added bonus that this book was set at Christmas time as that really added to the storyline for me. We’ve now seen all 4 Hill men succumb to the charms of their women, will we now get to see the only female Hill sibling, Carter, get her HEA? I really hope so.

Falling For His Badass by Jessika Klide is a contemporary romance but is hot and sexy. This tantalizing little treat is just what is needed to escape the mysteries of life and plunge you into an alternate world you can only imagine from stories. The characters are complex but so much fun and Jessikas writing style is effortless as her words flow easily and just pop off the page.
Lizzie is over men and just wants a night out to enjoy herself. When she literally bumps into a solid wall of muscle little does she know that her life is about to change.
One look and that was all he needed to make her his but is the road to love that easy?
If you love romances, you will love this one. Trust me it is well worth the ride.

Ricochet is a fascinating and thought provoking story by Kathryn Berla. It is a YA sci-fi fantasy with a very intriguing premise, some drama, interesting characters, mystery, and adventure. I have read most of Ms. Berla’s books now and have enjoyed how she manages to create such diverse fantasies. And this book is no different. I was attracted to this book entirely by the cover and the original concept- before I had even realised it was by Kathryn Berla. Going in we meet seventeen year old Tati, who doesn’t realise that she will soon discover things that will turn her world upside down and change everything she thought she knew about the world, and herself. It all starts when she sends a sample off for ancestry DNA testing. When it comes back inconclusive, it sets off a chain of events (coupled with her unexplained convulsions) that reveals parallel worlds, and her other ‘selves’. And so, the adventure begins. The story is fairly fast paced and does ‘jump’ around a bit between past and present, and the changes in character perspectives- which made it a little confusing at times- but after adjusting to the ‘jauntiness’ of it all, the story became much easier to read. I really wish there had been more ‘world building’, as I really would have liked to explore that aspect of the story more. I also think that whilst the characters were good, they lacked the depth and complexity which would have made them ‘great’ and this story a lot more exciting- elevating it to a whole new level. With the promise that the premise held, this book could have been amazing, and although it was a ‘good’ read- I was left just a little disappointed. Don’t be put off reading this story though, because it is well written and does deserve a read- I am just being greedy and wanted ‘more’ of the characters, their world/s, and the story. I wonder what Ms. Berla has in store for us next?

Virtue & Vice was a great 5 star read and book two in the Spicetopia series. I was excited to get started on this book. I was pulled in once again by Phoebe’s writing.
We start where book one left off. Moon and Katja are swingers that Cy and Jolie met in Greece. Moon and Katja are excited to work with Cy and Jolie on their adult theme park, even though at first they weren’t sure if it was going to be a reality.
Can they really make an adult theme park work?
Overall I really enjoyed this book and I highly suggest reading book one first. All of the characters were great and I’m excited to see what’s coming next in the series. I will warn that there is some BDSM and some very hot and steamy scenes at times with two couples in a scene, some of the scenes are mighty hot and might melt your kindle. 1-click and get started today.
What a wonderful book! It has a good solid story, great plot, the dialogue was smooth and flowing. C. L. Schneider has written a winner with The Crown of Stones: Magic Price. Ian Troy is unforgettable as are all the well-crafted players in this great book. It gets a little steamy in places but even with all that this book hits my perfect list. Although this is a fantasy it doesn’t feel like one. I can’t wait to read the next one, however I should probably clean my house first because I couldn’t put this one down.
