I like fun books where people build themselves up. This story start off wrong for me. The fact that they thought it was ok to nominate someone to get help because of their weight was mean and judgmental. The lady could have a medical issue that causes her to be heavy. It could be anything. But the story does have a ok message. Be who you wish to be. Dance even when someone is watching. Build your confidence so high that even the most vile person couldn’t bring you down. Fiona was strong in many ways and you could feel her emotions when it came to her insecurities. I dislike how it’s mostly your family tearing you down instead of building you up. The book was fun and sassy and made me have a little hope that dreams can come true you just have to have the right people in your corner. Review by @gguerrero89

WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition By Michelle N. Onuorah. While short and definitely not my usual read I still enjoyed this book. The authors writing style has and easy flow that made it an enjoyable read. You can tell this book means something to the author, I felt the emotions written into it. While it’s an enjoyable read it’s also a learning experience. I truly felt like I took something away when I was done. So great job to this new to me author. I’m giving this book a four star review and recommend it.

Dancing Queen by Charlotte Roth is a five star novel. This book was a fantastic, quick read. I loved the pace of this book and how life for Fiona changes. I love that the job she has has a program to try to help people with their health issues. Whether that is being too heavy or to thin, they have a support group for both at the same time. When Fiona decides to go to group, she is told she needs to find a hobby and that quilting is a great one. After another coworker is encouraged to go to group too, he decides they should join a dancing competition. Fiona just laughs. How could she possibly join a dancing competition when she looks the way she does? She’s been told her whole life that she was too fat to follow her dream of becoming a dancer. Now that she is thirty-five, she really knows she isn’t qualified but skinny Stu is relentless and insists she join with him.

Fiona is obese and finds herself being told by her boss that she has to go to a support group for people with health problems, she is also encouraged to pick up a hobby. She is also joined by a co-worker named Stu, who is too skinny. He finds the perfect hobby for them, a dancing competition.
Dancing brings up memories for Fiona, some sad some happy. Things take a twist when she finds out her sister is also competing in the competition.
I really enjoyed this book, I had several LOL moments. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, although I didn’t care to much for mom or sister. I enjoyed the memories that Fiona had about her grandma. This is an inspirational book on getting past your insecurities and moving forward with being happy as you are. This is my first read from Charlotte Roth and I look forward to reading more from her.

Lost in Love: Miss Apple Pants is another 5-star read by Charlotte Roth. This is the second book in the Miss Apple Pants series, and I would definitely suggest reading it in order as this book follows the same characters as the first.
I loved everything about this book, the storyline flowed seamlessly and there was plenty of detail which made everything so easy to picture in my mind. Ella’s story is sweet, funny, relatable, emotional and very romantic and I hope to read more about her in the future!
I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone looking for their next read!

This book is a very interesting and inspirational read about life and the struggles Michelle has faced from financial struggles to questioning one’s faith. It’s raw, real, gritty and told in such a beautiful way which made it so easy to read! I really wasn’t sure what to expect but this was much better then I could have expected, it was an entertaining read that I enjoyed from start to finish.
I would absolutely recommend WTF, God? :Understanding God in the Midst of Transition to anyone looking for their next inspirational read!

WTF, god? Understanding God in the Midst of Transition By Michelle N. Onuorah. I found myself liking this more then I thought I would. It’s an interesting story (memoir) about everything Michelle has been through, her thoughts, fears, every emotional point she reached and how she overcame it or learned to live it. The main focus is on her relationship with God, and sometimes her anger when her life turns out pretty much the opposite of how she thought it would. It’s a unique read and I am glad I read it.

Lights, Camera, Action by Heather Silvio is the first book in the Paranormal Talent Agency. Catherine Rodham is a talent agent sent to Las Vegas by her firm to set up an office. When she arrives there are a series of mysterious deaths of local actresses. With the assistance of her client Alex Moore can they figure out how the women are dying? The book is a fun, quick read. The story is a mix of paranormal, romance, and mystery. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I look forward to seeing where this series goes and to learn more about some of the secondary characters involved in this book.
WTF, God?: Understanding God in the Midst of Transition by Michelle N. Onuorah was a pretty okay read.
Alright first things first, this book was, way, and I mean way, out of my comfort zone. Being that it is non-fiction, and not a genera I tend to not dabble into, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into.
I have to say I liked the writing, and the quick wittiness. But that wasn’t quite enough to pull me into the story. For me there was a lot of cringe moments, that kept pulling me out. For a short book I did have a time to fully get absorbed and lost. There were times that the jumps back and forth, as done and cleanly as it could have been, making me at times a little confused. Like the author was trying to get too many thoughts out, in one go.
Overall this book, wasn’t bad, it was as whole quite enjoyable. I did like the wittiness of the author, and you can tell a lot of heart and soul was put into this book. I did like how she picked herself up time and time again, and no matter what was tossed in her path she kept going with that strong will and wit. For this little peak into her life, I could tell the author is a wonderful person, and I hope her all the best.
So to end, this book gets my stamp of approval and my high recommendation.

The Protector: Mac is the first book in the Cover Six Security series by Lisa B. Kamps. This book is face pace no nonsense book. Ms. Kamps does an amazing job that kept me on the edge of my seat. Mac was a beast of a man with battle scars on the inside and outside. TR has not so lucky recently. There have been some close call accidents and all around bad luck. Is TR off her game or is everything happening to her on purpose? Will Mac and TR figure out what is going on? The heat between Mac and TR is amazing and will they give in to the heat they make for one another?

The Slip Series Collection by Gwyn McNamee 5 out of 5 Stars
Dickslip by Gwyn McNamee 4 out of 5 stars Let me first say that the only reason this book is not 5 out of 5 stars is that I really, really wanted this book to be a few chapters long, and that is just me being selfish. This a laugh out loud funny, very fast paced romance comedy. If you are looking for a quick read with a lot of quips, quirks, hot steamy action scenes and hilarity thrown in, this is the book for you. Rafe is an absolutely loveable Bone Doctor, and Andy, his boss is a super-hot, super confident, BOSS woman. When all of Rafe’s man business slides out during a charity basketball game, Andy rushes in to try to save him and his show on their network. It is nice to see the woman in the position of power in this book and the male as the employee. It was a refreshing role reversal and I adore relationship Ms. McNamee built for these two. A definite read and highly recommended.
Nipslip: (A Scandalous Slip Story #2) (The Slip Series) by Gwyn McNamee 5 out of 5 Stars First, there is rarely a book that will have me busting out laughing. Second, this book is just as funny as the first so I highly recommend you read the first book so you can enjoy the hilarity along with this book. The name of the book suggests exactly that. Nip slippage. Riley, the poor thing, experiences boob/wardrobe malfunction while on the runway during New York Fashion Week of all places and now she is without a job. Tate, who is (lucky) witness to the event is drawn to help her. The funny turn of events the two have will have you rolling and bursting with laughter. I had tears leaking out of my eyes from laughing/crying. You will not regret this book and this series.
Beaver Blunder: (A Scandalous Slip Story #3) (The Slip Series) 5 out of 5 Stars The hilarity continues in this third installment of the Slip Series. I have loved this authors quick whit, humor and her fabulous plot and episodes that she puts her characters into. Madaline and Owen are two of my favorite characters to date. I loved every minute of this story. It absolutely will make me think twice before leaving the house without underwear…..but If i find an Owen…it just might be worth it.
This author is masterful. The humor she places in her books is cut with the romance and sincerity with her characters. It isn’t too funny that you are not wanting to take the series seriously but at the same time, you are invested in the characters and you love them and grow with them and root for them. Highly recommended!
Back in the ring by Brooke May is the fourth book in the Predator Series. This book can be read as a stand-alone. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was easy to connect with the characters and want them to do well. It was easy to fall into the flow of the story and be swept along with it. Although I haven’t read the other books I never at any point felt like I was missing something or confused. The author does a great job at introducing and developing the characters. The book was well paced and interesting and one I definitely would recommend.

This story picks up four months after the first book (Flowers in December) ends. Our characters go through so many changes from the first book. These characters continue on their journey of life dealing with change, growth, grief, and love. I loved reading more about our characters and meeting others. I have to admit that I am a bit upset with Connor, and his failure to communicate with loved ones. I was happy to read more about these characters!

This is a new author to me and a very different kind of book. I was really drawn into this book as I got more into it. This is definitely a new type of book for me and I was quite impressed. This book is a Self narrative and dialogue between the author and God. I really found the book to be inspirational.
We all have trials and tribulations but this candid look into the author’s is quite a unique and inspirational tale. I really found this book to be refreshing and a very nice change to read. I will definitely try and read more from this author in the future.

Age of Saints: Druid’s Brooch series by Christy Nicholas is an great fast read. The action is non stop and the story is one of family. I love reading Christy Nicholas books because I know that I am going get to an adventure of a lifetime with in the book. In the same breath, Christy Nicholas usually has some type of bite to the story. In this story, Conall had promise to take care of his sister Lainn to his dying father. Conall had issues keeping that promise. Between the abusive step-father, a powerful Faerie Queen, and a maddened Fae Lord, Conall was having a hard time making the decisions to Lainn. The story is a roller coaster ride of action and emotions. Will Conall be able to take care of Lainn or will the others make sure he will not be able to fulfill his promise to his father?

Seraphina’s Vengeance is book 3 in the Seraphina series by Sheena Hutchinson. in book 3. This series i would recommend to read in order as this series you learn more and more about seraphina’s life!! The first two books sets you up for book 3.This amazing Journey through seraphina’s life keeps you engrossed and wanting more. Seraphina is in a battle between good and evil insdie herself as Nate is here trying to help and take maters in his own hands but is kinda helpless as Seraphina has this internal battle alone. Nobody is able to make the choice but herself. This series is one of my favorite reads and i highly recommend it.

I have to be honest here – I didn’t think I’d love this book when I decided to read it – no particular reason really but I decided to give it a try anyway and I am so glad I did.
This book was such a joy to read!
The ups in this book were beautiful and the downs made my heart ache for the young girl I was reading about but it was so inspiring and it was obviously written by a mastermind!
I don’t know exactly what it took to write this book but I can imagine it took a lot of courage and strength and I thank you Michelle Onuorah, from the bottom of my heart, for writing it.

Seraphina’s Initiation is book two in the Seraphina series. After reading book 1 you are captivated and will want to keep reading more and more about these characters. In this second book we read more about Seraphina and Amanda and also Nate. seraphina starts having these dreams but not just dreams more like nightmares as she is trying to work all this out. Lucifer pays her a visit to make things even more complicated. As She begins to learn more and more about herself while her man-gel starts training her. This wonderful read will keep you engrossed as they go through this crazy journey together. Once this book is done you are going to want to keep reading more i really hope this series never ends the way Sheena write this series you wont tire of it.

Happily. Ever after? By Gaia B Amman a four-star read that may leave you happy? This is the sixth novel in the Italian saga series and I would advise you read them all, I have read them that way and enjoyed them so much more as they set the scene and paint the picture making you grow with the characters and see them as much more than a two dimensional character on a page. I have had a love hate thing with Leda through the series, in some parts I have adored her creativity and adventure and in others I have wanted to shake her. But there are so many other characters that you will adore. This novel is one that not everyone will enjoy as the author does push boundaries and gives is a great many views and creates a world that hopefully you will adore.

WTF, God? Is an interesting novel depicting the relationship between the author Michelle and God. She shares the development of her faith during a time in her life filled with transition. She shares many great life lessons. I was hesitant to read this novel worrying that I would find it difficult to compete but the storyline was actually very easy to follow. I felt like the author words drew me in and I couldn’t put down the book. I actually really enjoyed this novel and found many things to use in my daily life.

“Dancing Queen” by Charlotte Roth is a wonderful story about Fiona, a stuck in a rut, overweight 30 something who makes a fast friend out of Stu, a scary skinny man in her office that she meets through some awkward circumstances. Together, this unlikely pair help each other come alive again as they take on a new hobby. I don’t know what I was expecting while I was reading this book, but Charlotte Roth really caught me off guard! I was expecting your generic fat girl finds love story (Not that there is anything wrong with that, those stories make me feel better about my round shape!) but this story is so much more. I loved reading about Fiona’s journey with food and the friends that help build her up. The characters in this story are (mostly) amazing characters that I would love to have as real life friends! The ones that aren’t amazing, felt exactly like people I have in my own life, which broke my heart a little for Fiona. However, this brave woman is no punching bag! Fiona is such a strong, loveable character whom anyone can admire. There is a bit of a twist at the end that literally made me immediately start crying and make a weird emotional noise when I read it because it was so beautiful! So, I give “Dancing Queen” an obvious five stars! Charlotte Roth truly earned them, so do yourself a favor and read this book already!!

Seraphina’s Awakening by Sheena Hutchinson is the first book in the seraphina’s series and this is the first book that i have read by this author . This series is an amazing paranormal romance read. Seraphina is a young lady in her 20’s who works with her best friend Amanda. But Seraphina always feels kind of out of place and soon she will figure out what is going on. This book will get you hooked and will keep you reading for more. The journey that Sheena takes you through Seraphina’s life is intoxicating and will keep you reading for more.The Characters in this book are fun to read about Seraphina is trying to figure all these things that are going on with her and her body while her best friend is boy crazy and outgoing. I really love this read and cant wait to read book 2 in this series. You will not be disappointed. I highly recommend this book.

The Immortal Desires Anthology was a wonderful collection of stories and I thoroughly enjoyed every one that I read. I loved that there were authors in the anthology that I had read previously and also some new to me authors! I love finding new authors to read. Each story brought something different to the collection and they were all excellently written. I was really excited to see Jennifer Theriot (JD Frettier) included in this set as I love her writing and Flirty Dancing was definitely one of my favourites from this collection. Her writing never fails to entertain me and I liked that it was linked to other books that I have read by her. If you are a fan of paranormal stories then there is definitely something for you in this anthology – I thought that it was a wonderful collection of stories that I highly recommend!
Being totally honest I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this book. I am not religious at all but I thought it would be interesting to read this book and see how people who do believe in God think and feel about situations. I found the author to be really connectable and I enjoyed reading her story. I could imagine some of the situations happening and had a sense of understanding in the way that she dealt with things. I thought that it took courage for the author to be so open and honest about her beliefs and the story did a have deep and personal feel about it. I haven’t read anything by this author previously but I definitely would like to read more from her again in the future. A thought provoking book that I enjoyed reading. @katiem View all my reviews

I loved this book!! This was such a wonderful, easy to read story and I absolutely fell in love with the characters Fiona and Stu! I felt like I could really connect with Fiona, the way in which the author write about her made her feel like she was real. I really felt like I wanted to be there on the side lines cheering her along every step of the way. I was truly inspired by Fiona, her story and her outlook on life. The author cleverly intertwined funny with emotion and explored situations that made you think about how society view and judge people all the time based on what they look like. I have read a few books by this author now and I do love her fun and quirky writing style. Her stories are entertaining to read and I 100 % recommend them!

Yearning Young by Deidre Huesmann is the second book in the Burning Britely series. This 5 star book is an excellent follow up to the first.
In this book we get to see Braeden’s life and it makes me sad. The way his father and mother treat him and his sister is completely unacceptable and I know it does really happen. The manipulation his father uses on him and Jeff is outrageous. My heart broke for Jeff and Braeden and the future of their relationship, not knowing if they will stick it out or break up.
Fantastic second book and I can not wait for the next one. I really can’t wait to see where Jeff and Braeden end up and the future of Braeden’s family drama.
This novel was really beautiful and sweet i was captivated but that didn’t surprise me the author writes in such a magical way i knew as soon as i started this story i would be completely lost in the words. The journey was so enjoyable i got so caught up in their world i just couldn’t set it down. I love that it has that cozy Christmas feeling while reading it, it do take you on a incredible journey full of love, happiness, sadness and forgiveness. I certainly can’t wait to read more!

Burning Britely by Deidre Huesmann My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This book was so adorable! The story was great and so heartwarming, and the characters were fantastic. I was fearful because of the length of the book that there wouldn’t be much of a story, but I was wrong, and the story flowed beautifully.
Jeff sounds like he could be such a sweet guy if he didn’t treat people the way he does. The way he handles certain situations could be dealt with a little better, but I think it is part of the charm that makes him who he is. The friendship he builds with Braeden is tricky. At first it is funny the way Jeff pushes him away and tries to deter him from getting close to him. Braeden doesn’t take anything Jeff says to heart and moves forward with trying to form a friendship with him even though they run in different circles. When a secret gets out of school it turns everything upside down and brings some truths and feelings out that were meant to stay hidden. I think it was the best thing that could have happened. I do feel sorry for Braeden with the way he lives, feeling like he has to protect his sister and his younger brother because his mother is kind of crazy.
Overall a fantastic book and well worth the read. The story is sweet and relatable. Would absolutely recommend this book.
This was an awesome story and written very well, and you could tell the author took time in making sure the facts were straight and very clear and easy to follow.
This is my second read by this author and I almost gave this story 4 stars, but that would not have been fair since it’s only that I am not crazy about historical stories that would cause that. I was surprised that in a lot of ways I truly enjoyed this book, although that time period and how people thought and reacted to certain things bothered me, it is what it is and how it was.
Because of how this author takes care in her words and stories and that they flow so smoothly I will absolutely be looking for more.
