Little Do You Know is Book 5 of the Bayou Devils MC. I have read every book prior and was so excited to get this! This is Noah, aka Hennessey and Kady’s story. Noah was incarcerated for 7 years, and this is the first time in all the books that we really get to know him. Prior to his incarceration, Noah and Kady were engaged and trying to start a family. As soon as he was arrested, she disappeared without a trace. As soon as he is released, he starts looking for her. Refusing to believe she left him, and also refusing to believe she is dead, he enlists the help of his “brothers”. When he finally finds her living in a cabin and she refuses to see him, he feels like something is amiss. Noah refuses to give up on them even though she has a boyfriend. He also refuses to believe she moved on. He has an eerie feeling something is wrong and borderline stalks her to figure it out.

Noah is a persistent, passionate, sweet man that worships the ground she walks on and Kady is strong willed, independent, timid survivor, which means I love this story!! There’s a bit of naughty language, some laughs, some suspense, definite twists, a whole lot of heart ache, steamy sex scenes, action and more!! This book is one of those books you DO NOT put down, so make sure you’re in your comfy seat, with little distractions and your beverage of choice before you get started! 5 out of 5 stars!!

This is book 2 of a trilogy and should not be read as a stand-alone.

Often times the second book of a trilogy is the weakest. A book that connects the first and third and is mainly filler. That is NOT the case with BOUND!!!!

This installment of the series moves very quickly and intensely. It is a mystery/suspense with a game of cat and mouse thrown in for good measure. Oh and consensual BDSM and exploring sexual appetites.

Told in a dual point of view, this story takes us on a rollercoaster of emotion and energy. There is so much I would like to say about the story, but I don’t want to give anything away.

I will simply say… Read this book, it’s good!!

Trouble’s Wedding Caper is the 8th book in the Familiar Legacy book series by Jen Talty. It is the first I have read, so it can be read as a stand alone book. This book has a lot of drama, mystery, comedy and a dash of romance. It tells the story of Annabel, who returns to her small town home of Jupiter, Florida after getting her heart broken in NYC. While at her best friend’s wedding, she finds her boyfriend cheating on her, and gets drunk with her best friend’s brother, and her high school crush Ethan. Flash forward months later, and they are both back home in Jupiter and turns out Ethan’s fiance was cheating on him as well. Maybe the time is finally right for them to act on their feelings they have been hiding for years. With the help of Ethan’s sister, and Annabel’s best friend, they go on their first date.
On top of all of that, there is a lot of strange things happening, most involving Annabel and weddings. She buys a storage unit full of wedding gowns, rings, invitations and presents. With the help of Trouble, a cat, who is more like a detective, Annabel and Ethan try to solve the crime. This book was unlike any I’ve read before, but I loved it. It was so cleaver and not at all cheesy as I thought it would be. I will be reading others in the series to see what fun they have in store.

Black Bullet (The Order of the Senary #2) by L.D. Rose was an addicting, heart pounding read that had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author or in this series. Though this book takes place in the same world as the first, it reads as a standalone. But I do suggest reading the first book as it will give you a better understanding of the world that L.D. Rose has created.

Like the first book, this opens on a not so pleasant note. Richly detailed and emotional, you’re sucked in and captured by the outstanding writing and the dark gruesome world. I can honestly say that once I started reading this book, I didn’t stop until the last word was read. It’s just one of those books that you can’t put down, because your mind is so fully absorbed that you need to know what’s going on at all times. It’s like you are a part of the story, an active participant, and it’s your constant reading that saves the day.

This book is well worth your time and energy. It’s not only engaging, but stimulating and entertaining. The plot is solid and the characters are multi layered and complex. Even though this book is about vampires and hybrids, you still connect to the MCs and the pain, suffering, and trials they have to overcome. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will not only be hooked, but obsessed.

It was such a fun story about Elliot Prescott and Fe Porto. They have been best friends for 5 years but Fe is just like one of the boys, nerdy and goofy. Elliot wants to know why he can’t find a girl so Fe sets out to help him. She thinks he needs to be just like the guys in her romance novels. She wants him to become an alpha male with tattoos, abs and sexiness. Elliot is not so sure and all the while this is going on they share a couple of kisses along the way and can’t stop thinking about each other. Will Elliot finally realize that what he wants is right in front of his eyes and can he convince Fe that she really does want a relationship. Read Eight Steps to find out!

This book is everything and more! I thought I would enjoy this read as everything else I have read by Betty Shreffler has been brilliant, but this book was everything and more! Claimed Royalty is Book 1 in the new series Crowned & Claimed.

This book was epic from the get go, with incredible characters that are strong, powerful & independent. This book was filled with passion, romance, sexiness. It had action, adventure and an ending that I definitely did not see coming. It was filled with twists and turns and had me on the edge of my seat through out the whole read.
It definitely had a futuristic type of vibe to it yet an old historic underlying setting but I throughly enjoyed everything I read in this book, I was totally captivated and entranced by this read, for me I found this book a bit emotional, especially with the raw, real emotions that our main character Fiora felt and deals with through out this book.
I loved the setting of this read, Betty Shreffler has made this book a mentally visual read that I couldn’t put down, I loved learning about Anauka and their people, the various other characters and especially Matheas.

I totally recommend this book, you will never be disappointed. I will most definitely be eagerly awaiting Book 2 of this series, to see where this story goes after the twists at the end!

Black Bullet is the second installment in L.D. Rose’s Order of the Senary series. This book can be read as a standalone, as it follows different characters from the first book, but the world building isn’t as strong as the first one. I recommend reading the first one to get a better sense of the world, and how it all came to be with leeches ruling over New York City. This book definitely started with a loud bang, and did not slow down for a second. I found the second book to be better than the first, in terms of Rose’s writing style growing and getting better and better. I found Lawan and Jon to be very interesting and realistic characters, that were written better than Blaze and Valerie from the first book. It’s amazing to see how much Rose’s writing improved between the first and second book, and how complex her characters are now. I loved all the books gory details, that for once weren’t left to the imagination. Rose weaves such a masterful story, that you can practically taste the blood yourself. I really really enjoyed this as a second installment and look forward to seeing how the series grows and develops.

If you have been with Brian and Jenny from the beginning then you will know what Brian will do to keep Jenny safe. Will he be successful? Will there be a happy ending? Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second book in the Liberty Lawrence series .The trials and tribulations of Libby continues in this fun book. She is now working as a reporter for the Daily Chronicle but is having a hard time getting into the system at work. Her boss runs everywhere and she is not feeling very welcome.
I am glad to read about Libby again. She is full of fashion and has a habit of falling into odd situations. This is a fun read that had me laughing at the exploits. This can be read as a standalone but trust me start with book one to get the back story of the characters. The characters are more developed in this book and have all grown on me. Also, the story flows and moves quickly. This is a great read to get away from the everyday. I look forward to more Liberty Lawrence in the future.

Reading Jane Suen’s books is like a quick dose of therapy – a short hug that you need at the end of a busy week. Coming Home is no exception. This is the sequel to Flowers in December and centres around Connor coming home to his home town for Christmas, several months after his grief-stricken departure following the death of his mother. When he was last in town he had struck up a friendship with florist Mary Ann but would his return rekindle that spark, or had she moved on in his absence? Can he help Alana, his childhood friend who is also coming home after a long absence? I won’t spoil it for you… read and find out!
Jane’s novels are shorter than those I normally read but that doesn’t put me off, because she crafts such lovely characters and a warm setting that the reader doesn’t need pages and pages to get into the mood of the novel. I can empathise with the characters and cheer for them to get their happy endings almost immediately. Although I have never been to small -town America, the descriptions make it easy to imagine myself walking down the street and popping into the coffee shop.
A lovely heart-warming read.

The characters are awesome and the journey they took me on was an emotional roller coaster that I just couldn’t put down until the end. Mary Ann, Alana, Connor and Ron bring the story to life for me, they are so true to life and connectable. I found myself rooting for all of them to find their happiness. A must read!

Best friends Elliot and Fe have been friends for five years. Elliot is considered a nerd who loves video games.

What happened when Elliot asks Fe to help him get a girl? Will sparks fly?

I really enjoyed this novel. It was a fun and cute story and very refreshing from the other novels in this genre.

I usually read the lead female having the makeover and it was a change for the male lead to be having the makeover.

I loved the progression from friends to realizing there might be something more between them.

For anyone looking for a cute fast read, I recommended this novel.

What happens when there is a theft and she has a possible suspect in mind? In steps a handsome officer working the case that she finds herself being attracted to more and more. This is a cute, lighthearted story. If you are label conscious you will find that you are familiar with the brands that she is mentioning. Despite that I find Libby to be a fun character. This story made me laugh which I really enjoyed. There are some silly escapades but I grew to care about what would happen with Libby. Also, when I finished the book I was already wanting to jump to the next book.

I have to say that I was completely intrigued with Shattered Love by Nivia Borell. I knew the minute I read the synopsis, that I needed to know more about it and it’s characters. I loved every aspect of this book, including Bria’s heart break. You see, it’s those experiences that mold you. And with her, it was the journey that she had to take in order to get where she needed to be. I was captivated with the story from the beginning up to the very end. I loved the emotional roller coaster that I went through. I was definitely impressed with this author and her ability to create a beautiful story!

Black Bullet by L.D. Rose a four-star read that will put you in order. This is the second novel in the Order of the Sentry series, however it is a stand-alone, you don’t need to have read the first one Releasing the Demons, but it does give you good world building background. The world building in this series is sublime, Jonathan Kerr is one of those characters that will make you feel his pain, he will make you feel his confusion and heart, coming to terms with what he is now. The pain and hardship are palpable, you will feel it as if it was your own. If you like your reads dark then you will adore this read.

I give Black Bullet (The Order of the Senary) by L.D. Rose, 4 stars.

Jonathan is a former marine and FBI agent. Now he is vampire, but it was not something he wanted. He hates this life and lives with the pain and guilt every day. So he kills as many of the evil vampires as possible. He doesn’t care if he dies, he just uses his hatred to drive him. All of this changes he he meets Lawan.

Lawan has been treated horribly at the hands of vampires. They are all evil creatures and she will not make that mistake again. She has made it her mission to kill as many as possible. But that doesn’t really make the demons in her head go away. When she meets Jonathan, her first instinct is to end his life. But there is something different about him — he is a puzzle. Can these two broken people find solace in each other?

This was a great paranormal romance with action thrown in. The characters were good and the story itself was very entertaining. There were some nice twists that made this book stand out among others in the genre. Plus it’s not just the main characters, the secondary characters are just as interesting and real. And I loved Oscar! I hope to see him more in the future.

This was another hit in this series and I highly recommend it to those who love vampires and the paranormal.

This is my first read by this author and I loved it…The storyline was awesome and started out strong and never really let go…It moved fast and didn’t include a lot of unneeded descriptions or filler words..I completely enjoyed the writing style and read this book in one sitting.

Lottie was an amazing young girl that had been through things noone should ever even have to imagine much less go through, and her strength did nothing but grow as the story progressed. One of my favorite characters in this story was Mrs. Ames, everything about her was perfect. Hawk was a young man looking towards a future, watching his grandmother help many broken young girls was something he was used to. He had his own broken past and was not at all prepared for the young broken girl that his grandmother had saved from an awful experience.

The way this story progressed was done perfectly in my opinion. It wasn’t a perfect journey where happily ever after happened immediately, I loved that the story was told in two points of view, that helped in really feeling what was going on.

I will definitely be looking at what else this author has available, I enjoyed every word.

Rules of Engagement is another great read by Mika Jolie. I don’t think there is a book I have read by Mika that I haven’t enjoyed and this one is no different. I love her writing style and the way she can bring her characters to life. In this book we have a storyline that is centered around Lucas and Kate. After a horrible divorce Lucas’s heart, now only belongs to his daughter. But then he starts having thoughts about his best friend’s sister Kate. He knows he shouldn’t be having these feelings but does so now, will Lucas act upon them?
As for Kate she too has been hurt by love but has not closed her heart to finding love again. So now what will Lucas and Kate do? Will they cross the line and get together? Biggest question is if they get together will that ruin the friendship between Lucas and Kates brother? Grab yourself a copy of this book and enjoy the read.

An Improper Encounter is book three in the Macalisters by Erica Taylor. These stories from yesteryear are a delightful and much welcome change to my reading regime. A talent with the words, Erica Taylor can certainly keep a reader captivated and eager for more. The story was complete, with characters that were engaging and enigmatic, with personalities and desires not commonly norm for the era. I love reading about a more risque character, and Lady Sarah Hartford is all that, and more. Her and William embarked on an intensely mysterious love affair, while hiding their true identities. If that didn’t get your blood flowing, then something is wrong. The William disappears, only to reappear months later.

Such a delicious story, shrouded in mystery, lies and deception. Heartbreaking decisions, secrecy and a bone deep connection has them struggling to keep afloat. A plethora of emotions were wrenched from me. Suspenseful right until the end, I was entranced with the characters and the context it was written in. A mystifying tale that would suit most readers. 4 stars

The story Broken Sand Dollar (The Sand Dollar Series Book 3) by J D Boudreaux is a wonderful book that I loved reading. It is a story that is both emotional and romantic. The book hooked me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in its pages. I loved reading this story just as much as the first two. I enjoyed reading about the characters in the book. Alex, Penny, Leigh, and Payton are characters that are all brought forward into this story from the first two books. They are characters that I cared about and wanted them to be happy. The story is at times inspirational and has heartwarming moments. Alex is a man whose past relationships have not gone well. He is someone who feels he needs to save everyone. After all the disappointments he has gone through he has returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, a place that has always had a piece of his heart. What does the future hold for Alex? Read this book to find out. My emotions went up and down when reading this story. There is bantering and interactions between the characters. Some of them show the deep emotions and feelings that the characters face. There is witty and moving dialogue. Don’t miss out on this wonderful and amazing story that is sure to capture your heart! I highly recommend it.

The Perfect Duchess (The MacAlisters Book 2) by Erica Taylor is an enjoyable and easily read historical romance story. There is danger and kidnapping, lies and deceit, blackmail and attempted murder, scandalous affairs and intrigue that made for an interesting journey. I am not usually a lover of historical romances but Erica has done a great job with this series and has managed to hold my interest. There are a lot of twists and turns that keep you on your toes and the story flows nicely.

Andrew has had a lot put on his shoulders at an early age. Unfortunately his character along with it but when Lady Clara once again appears in his life he slowly realises that he is allowed to have more. He doesn’t need to be what he thinks everyone expects.

Clara has been made the town gossip by someone who should love her but somehow despises her. If it weren’t for a certain Duke and his family she would be dead or a social outcast.

This is a charming romantic read that is a little scandalous and intriguing. I am excited to read more about the rest of the MacAlister clan.

Such a complex book! Book one in the Forever Us Series by Nivia Borell is Shattered Love. This book was written with such great poise and descriptive manner. This author really takes you on a journey of deep feeling and emotion. Shattered Love follows Bria du Mont on her 25th birthday and the encounters of the past. Bria was meant for Damien du Sky. From the time that they were little, they were tied by such a great bond. That bond being an immense forever kind of love. One that they thought was impenetrable. But on the night of her 18th birthday the unspeakable happens, which destroys everything they are about. Damien catches Bria in bed with another man. However, Bria doesn’t remember it happening at all. At that point, Bria goes into the hospital from a heart attack. Damien finds himself in a bottle and the chase to be the very best CEO. For the next 7 years Bria drowns herself in work and finds herself incapable of having any feelings whatsoever. So she starts planning to disappear so that she can no longer hurt the ones that she loves any longer. Like I said before, this book is complex and has so many facets to go along with it. It’s a book that you need to pay attention, otherwise you will miss something. Good news is that the writing envelops you and you can’t seem to pull yourself out because you keep wanting more and more. I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Shattered Love was an emotional 5 star read. This is Bria and Damien’s story.

We start with Bria having a birthday party. A party that will allow her to say goodbye. Without him she has nothing. No one can save someone who has no intention, will, or desire to be helped.

Damien had his heart broken by Bria, but he decided to come to her party anyway. He had to see her, something was different about this party. Seven years ago, I found the love of my life, my best friend, my soulmate, my future wife in bed with someone else.

We get a look at past and present told in both POV’s. Damien turned into a heartless playboy, no one knew who he was after everything happened. When we learn about some of the things that Bria went through, my heart broke for her. Don’t expect flowers and sunshine in this book, emotions run high. The secondary characters added a great element to the story, some were terrible. We end on a cliffhanger of wondering what choice Bria will make. I will be waiting impatiently for the next book in this series. This is my first read from Nivia Borell and I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more from her. Well done on your debut.

Claimed Royalty (Crowned And Claimed #1) by Betty Shreffler was a fast pace, action filled, hot, engaging read, that had me hooked from start to finish.

Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in that I was in for some deep emotional evoking writing. I was not disappointed in the least. Another superb book by Betty Shreffler, I was captured from the first paged and stayed hooked until the very last word was read. Rich with a complex plot, and multilayer characters, this book was not only fun to read, it connects your heart a soul to an amazing world that Betty has created.

Both MC’s are well written and I fell hard for both of them. Fiora was a strong, stubborn, outstanding character, that I connected to almost right away. She truly shined and carried this story in a ways that enchanted the plot and added a layer of realism, that not only makes you believe in her, but that the world she has to one day rule, is real. Matheas was that perfect match, loyal, passionate and solid in his beliefs. He was there for Fiora, and he also shoned and help carry this story towards amazingness. Having two such strong MC’s is a rarity, and I believe that it’s one of the factors that sets this book apart from others like it.

Overall if you haven’t guessed, this book gets my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

Four Stars

Jenny and Brian have me ready for a relationship. I really enjoyed this story so much has happened so far. The characters have grown so much. From Brian’s no romantic relationships to Jenny finally learning to trust. The author has really brought these characters to life. I love the dynamic between the couples. Their bonds are strong and goal worthy. This story is definitely for you if you love guys willing to do whatever it takes to care for their women no matter what.

Shattered Love (Forever Us) by Nivia Borell is a five star novel. As a debut novel, you never know what you will be getting into. I loved this book. The first book in the series makes for a page turning, painful memory of how Damien and Bria used to be and a look into what they could’ve been. As childhood best friends, they fell in love at a young age. They promised themselves to each other until that day. When Damien thinks Bria has broken his trust, he leaves and doesn’t look back. At least he doesn’t want to. They both go into a downward spiral of distrust and fear and they pay with individual crises that they have to work out for themselves. I am excited for book number 2!

Thankfully this review is being written on a laptop and not paper, because after reading this story last week my tears are just now stopping enough to type. My heart is heavy with sadness. But my heart also has room for hope. This story hits close to home, as I have school aged children as well as a gun in our home. Of course, it is safely put away from these teen-aged children. This story really touches on a few different, hard to talk about situations. Situations we see in the real world. The names may have been changed but this could be a story about you, me or even someone we know.

I have read Montgomery before but never have I ever read such a well written story. Never has any of her books made my heart feel like it does now.

Please go buy this book, even if you can’t read it just yet. Have it waiting for you when you need to let your tears fall. Have it knowing that there is a fantastic story waiting when you are ready. You won’t be sorry.
