Nothing But Trouble by Ashley Bostock is the first book in the Irresistible Billionaires series which had me from the very beginning and didnt let me go.
Michael has no idea what’s going to happen when he sets up his fake profile to find a date for a benefit dinner. He certainly meets his match with Sophia.
Sophia is quite an amazing young woman. At only twenty four she is supporting herself and her Grandmother while going to school part time.
This is not your typical rich man/average working woman story and I’m so glad to get a new scenario.

Luke by Madison Quinn is the first book in the Dark Water Security series. I don’t think intense is a strong enough word to describe this book, especially the beginning. There were part of the beginning that haunted me even after I finished the book.
Luke wasn’t dealt the best hand in life to start but then to be held captive with no way out was even worse. He endured so much in his time there with most of it being horrible, but she was a ray of sunshine in his dreary existant.
He is thrown off guard when he meets someone who reminds him so much of her but it also brings those horrible memories back.
There are some twists and turns I wasn’t expecting but they were exactly what the story needed.
I cannot wait until the second book comes out and see what else is in store.

Snatching Dianna Feisty Lawyers Book 1 By Seelie Kay ☆☆☆☆☆ WOW!!! This is only the beginning in this series. What a great start for this suspenseful story.
Dianna Murphy is kidnapped on her morning run. Her roommate tries to report it. But the law says she has to wait 24 hours, because Dianna is an adult. She is strong, brave and will not let these people make her weak. That is exactly where this storyline picks up. I was drawn into the very first paragraph. It continues at a running pace. Seelie Kay has really written a spectacular story. So real in today’s everyday life. I feel she has really gone out and done her research on human trafficking. For that alone, makes this suspenseful story a must read!. That is really all I can say without giving too much of the story away. I am looking forward to see where she will take this series. Not for those under 18 due to adult content. I’m looking for more Seelie Kay!

CEO Michael Vilander is the founder of a dating website. Unfortunately he needs a date for gala that happens to be on Valentine’s Day. With no other choice, he creates a fake profile on his website and it connected with a woman he think is sweet and vulnerable.
Sophia Baldwin is a twenty four year old who is working towards becoming a nurse and also taking care of her sick grandmother. Her world changes when she finds out her connection online is actuall a CEO.
Can just one date be enough? Will Michael be able to open his heart and finally see not all women are like ex?
I really enjoyed this novel. I read a lot of billionaire romances but it was refreshing to have the female lead have a different profession and I also liked that she loved to paint.
Michael was frustrating letting other control him and thoughts but I was glad when he saw things for what they were.
I am excited to read the next book and hopefully see these characters again.
There Be Demons (Andor Demon Wars Book 1) by M. K. Theodoratus was an addicting read that had me hooked.
Not my first read by this author, I knew going in that I was in for an detailed rich read, full of wonderful characters. I was not disappointed, this book met all my expectations and more.
A solid read, I loved the flow and the pacing. I will say that this book put a lot of time into building up the characters, a lot of introductions, background, and setting up the overall plot. This book, in the greater sense is a set up book for the series to come. This seems to be the growing trend lately, and to be frank, I’m not that big of a fan of it. Now, as far as set up books goes this one was pretty freaking good, and if the background was tone down a tad, I’d say it would have had the perfect balance. It was the shortness of the action scenes that threw off that formula. I think if those action scenes were a bit longer, and a little more often, then that would have shot this book up into the stars.
Overall this book is worth the read, and I’m invested. For a book about demons and war, it’s a pretty fun read. It’s entertaining, engaging and original. Yeah sure there’s some predictable YA tropes, but they’re written in such way where they’re not annoying but a fun nod. So please take my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval, that you will fall into this uniquely fresh world that will have you wanting more.

Having no choice is depressing. Not being able to love who you want is sickening. Fiora is to be crowned Queen but she has to go through her trials. During those trials there are male suitors she has to pick one as her king. But how do you pick someone to help lead your country when you don’t know him. You don’t know their heart and they don’t know yours? Fiora seems like a strong girl who will make an amazing queen. I so ship her and Matheas. I’m ready for the next book. This story was very interesting because usually it’s the males that inherit no matter if the sister is older. The author presented us with the base for a strong female lead who doesn’t hide behind anyone.
Mika Jolie….nothing more is needed. I have NEVER read a book by her I haven’t loved. This is no different. The written was perfect, the characters were great and the story was 5+ stars!
I really couldn’t say anything bad about this book. Lucas has custody over his daughter Emma. She means the absolute world to him. He would do anything to keep things justbthe way they are. His ex wife is back and wants to take him to court for custody saying he’s an unfit parent and he has different women around him all the time.
His best friend’s sister who happens to be one of his best friends poses as his fake fiancé. The only problem is, Lucas is extremely attracted to Kate and she has started in some of his hottest fantasies over the last year. Since Kate and Lucas are so comfortable around each other, it’s easy to pretend. They even kiss in public to make it known. However, Kate’s brother isn’t to happy about this plan. Before long, Kate and Lucas are sending flirty texts and then Lucas sends Kate a picture he normally wouldn’t send someone. One thing leads to another and they end up making a deal of what they are willing to do during their fake engagement.
The only rule is, they cannot fall for each other. What are the chances of that happening between now and a week from now when Lucas has to go to court? I say very likely!!! Will this ruin their amazing friendship they have had for over two decades or will they both be able to get past it? Such a great book!!!

Stepping It Up by Bea Stevens is the second novel in a series following the life of Liberty Lawrence. This novel continues the story from the first book and I do not recommend reading it as a standalone. She starts a new career in this novel and it was wonderful following her as she adjusts to her new position and also to her new romance with James. There were many surprises in this novel for her. I love her character. She is fun, caring, practical, and funny. Some of her comments had me laughing out loud. This was such a sweet easy romance to read and get lost in as well as having a little mystery in it. I look forward to following this character I. This series and reading more from this author.

VORTEX starts like a popular movie about tornadoes. I was comparing and thinking the whole book was going to be this way, when, much like a tornado, it took a turn and shifted completely. This is absolutely its own high energy/unique story.
This is the story of relationships and following you dreams. It’s very descriptive and multi layered. There are things that are not as they appear. It has some interesting movement along the way and held my attention.
The dog and his human’s connection was so cool to see. I often wondered who was “talking” to who.
Caught in Make-Believe was a great 5 star read and book three in the Caught Series. I have been reading this series from the start and I was really excited to read this next book in the series.
We meet Samantha first, she runs her own bakery and was recently engaged and then her fiance decided to disappear for a week. When he show’s back up with another woman she sends him on his way, needless to say she is very unlucky in relationships and has no desire to start another one.
In the four years she lived here, she’d gone from one loser relationship to another.
Jace is an investigative writer and has returned home to Angel Beach, but for how long? Samantha meets Jace when he comes into her bakery. Something about him draws her in and gets her attention. He’s standoffish and rude, but she may have discovered a secret of his. Jace was intrigued by Samantha, and encouraged conversation with her.
Jace and Samantha start growing closer, I enjoyed the bantering between them. They were clearly meant for each other. Overall this was a great read. I loved the connection the characters had and the suspense with a touch of danger added a great element to the story. All the secondary characters were great and Martin was adorable. Sharleen Scott has once again pulled me in and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This is the first book I have read from this author and she blew me away. I absolutely love dark romance but this talented author exceeded all my expectations. This is the first book of the Dark Water Security series and it was a perfect start. I was hooked on the very first page. You can’t help but to fall in love with these brave characters. It only took me a few hours to devour this incredible book.
Luke has been captive for months now. He knows there is no way of getting out of here. Luke is told to fight but a crazy man and if he doesn’t win he gets punished. One night this crazy man brings home a teen girl. Luke is mesmerized by her beauty. He knows one thing he needs to protect her. Luke and Em get to know each other. They make a plan to escape. It is now ten years after they got free. Luke still has demons he faces from his teenage nightmare. He run a very well know security business. Luke is given a case that he needs to solve. He is told that they need help and his friend recommends Emily to join the case. Luke will never forget his Em but this woman is doing things to him he has never felt before. Will Luke ever see his Em again or will she fade away from his memory. Will he solve this case or will it become cold?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, suspense, and mystery. This book gave me all the feels from utter terror to pure joy. You can’t help but to fall in love with these unforgettable characters. Luke is very brave and he has a heart of gold. He loves his job but he still has nightmares about what happened to him as a teen. Luke is one of my favorite male characters of this year. He stole my heart the way he treats Em. Emily is also very strong and knows what she wants. She has some dark secrets of her own that could make or break the relationship with Luke. This talented author will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I loved the ending it so much it brought tears to my eyes. I can’t wait to meet the rest of this amazing team.

Snatching Dianna by Seelie Kay is the first book of the Feisty Lawyers series. The story’s main characters are Law Professor Janet MacLachlan and her husband secret agent Cade Matthews. They are on the hunt for a missing law student Dianna Murphy before she disappears forever. They bring on a team of experts to help them find Dianna. This was a quick read with lots of suspense. I enjoyed that the tension was broken up at times with some good wit. Because of the length, there is a lot of room to grow and continue the series. The characters are interesting and seem to have a lot of backstories. I enjoyed the story overall and look forward to reading more in the series.

This is one of those books that will stick and flash in my head for a long time. From the first line to the very last, I was carried on a wave of emotion. The description of the sky brings it full circle and I will now be looking for the colors described.
The author has written a story that is so common in this day and age I’m afraid we’ve become a bit immune to the victim’s families. It is so complex in its emotions yet has such a simple message – Don’t give up because it does get better and you are NOT alone. Finding a new normal allows life to go on.
I am at a loss for words on this one – all I can say is that I recommend this book.

Bound is the second book in The Torzial Affair by Via Mari. Jenny is such a strong independent woman will she be able to let Brian protect her by taking control of things outside of the bedroom? I didn’t think I could fall any more in love with Brian and Jenny. I love the way Jenny still knows how to push Brian buttons.
Via, another great book that kept me glued to my kindle with every page. Bound was just as steamy and non-stop twists just like Shattered. I can’t wait to see how this series is going to end.

Luke is the first book in Madison Quinn’s Dark Water Security series and what an opening act it was! Standing ovations! It is my first read by this writer and now I have the series on my TBR list! This book is dark, yes, from more or less page one onward you know the demons Luke and Emily (our two main characters of the story) will face for the rest of their lives … you cry and you rage and you simply cannot reconcile the fact that there are inhumane persons out in the world committing horrible crimes … we also see that it is up to the person to decide how they use their experience and what direction they take, deeper into the darkness or towards the light and hope. Both Luke and Emily create something amazing out of their experience and it also lays a foundation for their love. I wish the story had been longer, not that I felt that something was missing, I just wished to linger more with these two. Hopefully the next stories in the series we will be able to get more glimpses into their lives!

If there was every a book deserving more than 5 stars, The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery beyond worthy of that recognition. This novel is more than a contemporary romance, it’s the embodiment of growth, healing and overall, love. K.L. Montgomery has written a compelling story that is emotionally raw down to its core touching on topics that are too real in today’s society. It goes beyond and digs deeper into how those events shape our lives and those of others. With Angelia and Mark, the reader is taken on a tragic journey while at the same time the light of dawn peaks through providing glimpses of something more. This story was so well written, that I couldn’t put the book down until I read every single word. Beautiful, full of soul, and so much more! K.L. Montgomery has outdone themselves in this latest novel.

A great read about heartbreak. Angelia’s world is turned upside down when her son Evan is killed by a shooter at school. Lost in grief she decides to tell Evans story at a conference on school shootings. Whilst on a conference, she meets Mark, a single father who has also lost somebody. Can two broken hearts become one and heal together? A great read. Well developed plot. Well developed characters like Angelia struggling with her feelings but still standing up for herself or Mark harsh exterior but kind underneath. Great cast of supporting characters like the kind Emily or the sweet Jarren. I loved the visual detail throughout the novel with the vivid sense of colour like the sunrise with its soft pinks and dark blues in simple beauty. Or the bright greens of the funeral against the coffin perfectly wirtten Having it written in Angelia’s perspective was a good idea to display her journey through it all. The theme of loss was beautifully written as sad and sweet and emotive. Overall, a great read and o would give it five stars

Eight Steps To Alpha by Taylor Sullivan is a fun new adult quirky romance. Elliot is a nerdy guy who is tired of not getting the girl. He teams up with his roommate Fe and they had a plan to make him more alpha and hopefully more appealing to a certain woman. Overall I enjoyed the story and found the characters to be likeable. This was my first book by this author but won’t be my last. I love her writing style. Would definitely recommend! 4 star rating.

The story There Be Demons (Andor Demon Wars Book 1) by M. K. Theodoratus is a wonderful fantasy book that I loved reading. It is a story that does an amazing job of world building and includes action, magic, and danger. It is a book that drew me in from the beginning and I was hooked. It had me turning pages wondering what was going to happen next. I enjoyed reading about the character of Britt Kelly. She is a girl who at times is angry and is having a hard time dealing with her parent’s divorce. She then finds herself and a few of her friends drafted to become demon hunters with a group of Gargoyle guardians all the while dealing with the normal day to day worries of being a teenager. Will Britt and her friends be able to stop the evil demon’s plans? Read this book to find out. This story will appeal to anyone who loves fantasy and a fight between good vs. evil. Being a teenager is hard enough without the fight that Britt and her friends have on their hands. Worrying about schoolwork, what others say about them, and even a little romance makes for a full life. Add in demons and it gets quite hectic. Britt and her friends are teenagers in the way that they question authority and those who try to control what they do. I loved the spirit they show and also the loyalty that they have for each other. I enjoyed how detailed that the book was. There are times that I felt like I was right there with Britt and her friends. This is a story that had me glued to the pages until I had read the final one. It is a wonderful first book in a series and a story that I would recommend reading.

This is the first book in this series, I loved it. I loved that I was pulled into the story right from the beginning and couldn’t put the book down until the last page. This is a story about Fiona, the future queen, she is to chose her king but in order to do that she must complete certain tasks. I love the triangle this author created with the four men but problem is she loves another, who is forbidden. Fiona is an awesome strong character and her chemistry with the men.. A must read story!

The story Claimed Royalty: (Crowned and Claimed Series, Book 1) by Betty Shreffler is a fantasy romance book. It is a story that drew me in from the very beginning and I found myself lost in its pages. It is a book that includes adventure, royalty, and lots of romance. There are parts of this story that are very steamy and make the temperature in the room rise and you can feel your heart and soul swoon. The book does an amazing job in world building and there is attention given to details. I at times felt like I was right there with the characters. I enjoyed reading about the main character. She is their chosen Queen. There are traditions she must uphold. She is a beautiful and strong woman. She is talented and quick-thinking. She knows that her love of one man is forbidden however her heart can’t let him go. I could feel the inner conflict that she goes through and I don’t envy the emotions/feelings that she is having. This story had my emotions going up and down throughout the whole book. There are other characters that you read about and are introduced to. I enjoyed reading about the part they play in the story and their interactions with the main character. There are also those who are not all they seem to be. They have their own agenda and only work to make their plans succeed. This is the first story in a series and one I would highly recommend reading. I can’t wait for the next book.

Nothing But Trouble: Irresistible Billionaires by Ashley Bostock My rating: 5 out of 5 stars
This story is sweet, funny, sad and beautiful. I had so many emotions with all the different situations happening between the two main characters. This was a nice easy read that left me satisfied with the whole story and how everything played out.
Michael is irritating. After meeting Sophia and having her as his pretend date for the gala and now his pretend fiance, he messes it up. His sneaky, nasty ex finds out where Sophia works and goes and takes pictures of her there to show Michael, and tells him she is a gold digger. Michael believes her and ruins it with him and Sophia. In my mind of course I’m asking, Why are you listening to your horrible ex? Do you really still have feelings for her after she broke your heart? Why don’t you talk to Sophia instead of jumping to conclusions?
Sophia is sweet, but also gets me worked up in some situations. She knows this is all pretend and of course she starts to fall in love, so when Michael calls her out on where she works, and thinks she is only after his money, and voices as much to her, she just kind of walks away. It takes her weeks before she finally says enough is enough and goes to him to tell him exactly what is happening and why she has to behave the way she does. Just when I think the situation has righted itself, Sophia has a tragedy happen in her life and of course pushes Michael away.
This book had me laughing in the beginning, gritting my teeth and crying in the middle and smiling in the end. The story was perfect and I really like how it was laid out. I’m at a point where I think the book is wrapping up and then boom, something happens to draw the story out and throw me for a loop, loved it! I would recommend this for anyone who wants a quick romance fix, this book is perfect and very entertaining.
Eight Steps is a excellent friends to Lovers romance read, that’s captivating and brilliant from the start. It’s fast paced and easy flowing and has you hooked. Taylor Sullivan is a new author for me, and boy has she given me even more reasons to read more of her books and what else is to come to this series. She has created a brilliant plot line that could really be a real and relatable thing, she has created lovable and relatable characters in Fe & Elliot, to where you would like to see more of their journey and connection after this book ends. I loved reading about their connection, whether as being friends or slowly figuring stuff out, I loved that this book at times was laugh out loud funny, not many books get you laughing like that but this had me doing so on some occasions.
I really enjoyed this book, and was so glad I got the chance to delve into this authors writing. I highly recommend this read and I can’t wait to see what else this author brings.

I enjoyed this action packed young adult story. I found this story to be fast paced, engaging and creative. This is a story about Britt and her friends and the journey they take us on protecting the town from demons. They are all great, strong characters that make the story come alive. They are creative and connectable. I think that Britt is my favorite because she is spunky, determined, just a great character. I enjoyed watching her figure out her powers. I highly recommend this book.

I loved this book! My favorite yet in this series. I loved how I was pulled in to this story right from the beginning and kept me turning pages until the end. The characters took me on a journey that was full of action and twist and turns that left me sitting on the edge of my seat. I loved Jonathan’s character. He wakes up a vampire, something that he has hated and hunted but now he is one of them. Now he tries to make a difference but how big of a difference will he make? A must read!

This is a must read and is my favorite yet. I love how I get pulled into the story from the start and made to feel as if I am right there. The characters make the story engaging and page turning. This story is full of lies, secrets and misunderstandings. Sarah meets a stranger on a bet but what will happen when he shows up on her doorstep married with a pregnant wife? Will they be able to overcome what fate has thrown at them to find their HEA? I highly recommend finding out!

I could not get my hands on MOVIE STAR fast enough! I didn’t even need the tease of the gorgeous cover that graces it, or the sultry blurb that promises seduction, intrigue and pleasures of the flesh to be told, I was hooked merely with Evie and her story carrying on from the very first book, The Player. Here is where I will highly recommend that you read these books in order so you can get the full experience and understanding of what is going on here. I have fallen in love with Evie’s character so much and really enjoyed following her on this journey so far. MOVIE STAR was just another wonderful addition to that where we got to see her mature into her womanhood more.
In MOVIE STAR Jake Keller is Evie’s special client. He has shut down and things around him are suffering, major things. Evie is determined to help him but he isn’t going to go down without a bit of a struggle. Will she be able to break through to him and help him? Then there is the side mystery storyline of the mystery fan. There is not a lot divulged just yet here but still enough to keep me on the edge of my seat wondering what next? And but who?? I can’t wait to see what will take Evie’s life by storm next! Thanks for the fantastic read Ms. DuMond!

I really enjoyed this book. This book reminded me of a romcom style movie. You first meet Michael who is the owner of a dating online app who has had a rocky past with women. Michael needs a date to a charity and after some prodding from his meddling grandmother he decides to create a fake profile. After making the profile he is matched with Sophia. Sophia is pure innocence and a great woman who happens to be the caretaker of her grandmother. After they met face to face and she realizes who Michael is she plays along to help him. Sophia accidentally states out of haste to defend Michael that they are engaged. Michael does not want a publicity nightmare and wants Sophia to play the dutiful fiancee for one month. One month is a long time for feelings to make themselves known. I enjoyed reading how this story unfolded.

The Light at Dawn by K.L. Montgomery is an emotional rollercoaster that will consume you entirely. I knew the second I read the blurb that I would need to prepare myself going into this book. Tissues were at the ready and the wine was in hand and boy were both needed. Everything about these characters and their journey sucked me in. I won’t say anything at all about the story because you really need to jump straight in and experience this all for yourself. But every single emotion, every single tear is worth it. This book has easily made it to my ugly cry read list – the list that I know will tear out my heart but is worth it every step of the way. Everyone should give this book a try!

The Perfect Duchess is the second book in The Macalisters Series by Erica Taylor. As with the first book in the series, Ms. Taylor has created quite a clever and captivating story. This is Andrew and Clara’s story- although I felt that this story should have been Book #1, and “A Suitable Affair’ as book #2. But that’s my personal preference, and it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the story at all. Having ‘met’ Andrew and Clara in the previous book, I was immediately intrigued by them, and even though some of their story was touched on, there was so much more that I wanted to know. And this book definitely gave me that in spades! It has so much going on in it, with twists and turns that I definitely didn’t see coming. There was everything from romance, danger, murder, intrigue, passion, drama, suspense, emotion, frustration, erotic scenes, wonderfully complex characters, detailed and descriptive historical elements and scene setting, and clever interconnected threads. I really enjoyed this book, and highly recommend it to anyone who likes historical romance with a clever storyline.
