Evie Berlinger is a kindergarten teacher by day, escort by night. Evie had a whirlwind of a childhood where she learned to suppress her empathic abilities. Now that she’s all grown up, she realizes that she can use this “power” to heal her clients. These men pay enormous amounts of money to the Ma Maison Agency just to be with her.

Though the blurb on the back of the book speaks of four different clients, this book mainly focuses on one in particular; Dylan McAlister. I’m assuming each book in the series surrounds a client in particular. Dylan is swoon worthy. Him being a gambler kind of turned me off a little but other than that, he’s the man. I believe he’s also good for Evie and I would like to see them together in the end. This story is about Evie becoming who she was meant to be and believing in herself. Dylan helps her with that and more. There is a bit of drama with Glenn (the pervert), some mystery with her fan (stalker?) and many sizzling moments with Dylan. There were a few parts that I found a little long but the story overall kept me interested to keep reading.

There is not a happy ending. This story is a part of Evie’s life. I’m interested to see what will happen with her next client and curious to find out who her fan is. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series.

I could not recommend this book enough! It’s a must-read romance that had me feeling all the feels. It’s books like this one that fuel my reading addiction! I love being so swept up in a storyline that I can read the book in one sitting. That feeling of experiencing the same emotions as the characters and feeling so invested in their story. I have nothing negative to say about this book, I loved everything about it! The story flowed seamlessly, the build up to the relationship wasn’t too action-packed and the story felt so real!

I can’t wait to dive in to my next read by this phenomenal author.

Written in the stars is the second book in the Fallen Eagles MC series by T. Birmingham. I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I couldn’t wait to discover more of the stories and characters. This book is a fantastic romantic suspense- with danger, a serial killer, intrigue, gripping developments, drama, and so much more. I was hooked from the very first page and read it all in one evening, because I had to know how things would play out. This book is definitely my favourite of the series, so far.
There are a lot of characters, a lot of detail, and a lot going on- but Ms. Birmingham has managed to keep everything flowing smoothly and easily. The story is clever, and really well done. The characters are all fully developed individuals with their own personalities- and all add to the whole storyline, and reading experience.
I loved Eagle and Winter- that they were so different, yet fit perfectly together. Winter is Kit’s younger sister (Book #1), and there is a lot more to her than people realise, and it isn’t what anyone would guess. It was very easy to connect with her and Eagle and get invested in their story.
But this book is more like two stories in one, as there is a suspense/thriller playing out at the same time. Both woven together brilliantly and seamlessly. As there is a bridging storyline and recurring characters in this book, I really recommend reading the first book before beginning on this one- as having every detail will elevate this whole reading experience for you.
I can’t wait to continue the excitement- bring on book #3!!

The Way You Are is the fifth book in the Carolina Connections series by Sylvie Stewart. This is is a fun, light-hearted and fabulous contemporary romance/ romantic comedy/friends to lovers’ story with a slow-burning romance, steamy moments, and a wonderful cast of characters. Even though it is the fourth in a series, it could be read as a standalone. But I expect that after reading this book, you will probably go back to read the other books in the series as well.
Olivia and Brett meet unexpectedly, and get along immediately. Brett is smitten, and would love to have a chance with Liv- but she has a boyfriend and he is relegated to the ‘friend-zone’- a place he is all too familiar with. What happens you ask? Well, I really recommend reading all the hilarious details for yourself and discover if Brett finally makes it out of the friend zone.
This is a sweet, steamy, funny and very entertaining story. It has a great pace and a smooth flow. I read it in an afternoon. A really fun read!

This short novella is the prequel to the Soul Keeper series. It is a good introduction. It explains how the characters all met and the beginning of Theodora and Lyzander’s relationship. Although Lyzander is made out to be the bad guy keeping Theodora and her husband apart, I love him. I know he’s not the true antagonist of the story. He is introduced at the end of the book but we still don’t know who he is. This was smart on the author’s part, everyone will want to read the next book to find out who he is.

I have always loved vampire stories. This one had an original twist to it that I found intriguing; a person being the soul Keeper of a vampire. I tip my hat to Ms. Dubh for coming up with the idea. I really like Theodora, she is an independent woman who speaks her mind and doesn’t take crap from anyone. Her love of comic book characters makes her quirky and lovable. I feel bad for Dam but I think he’s handling things pretty well. Even though I know he loves Theodora very much, I want him to step aside and hurry up about it. I believe the love between Theodora and Lyzander is going to be epic and I can’t wait to read the next book.

Full Glasses and Burju Shoes by Blake Blessing. This is the story of Perrin Michaels & Emiliano Espocito or Perrin & Emil. They are both strong characters who have been thru their own special kinds of hell. Perrin is a glass half full kinda girl trying to keep as busy as possible so she doesn’t have to dwell on bad things. Emil is a strong, loving, protective war vet who is bitter and trying to just get by. Perrin dives into all types of hobbies, rock climbing, bunjee jumping the more extreme the better and Emil is trying to get back to his old pre-war self. He has horrible flash backs and doesn’t feel like he fits in. Once they meet sparks fly but they are both not really looking for a relationship because of their past. Perrin might just be what Emil needs to draw out of his bitterness and shell. Will they help heal each other or will they let their pasts dictate their futures. Such a good read that showed me the after life of our war heroes and how they try so hard to fit back into life after seeing such destruction and death. It will keep you thinking long after you’ve read it.

I read the entire thing in one night because I couldn’t put it down. Its the story of Dahlia Nit who lives in the world of Drimera and works for Queen Naalish as an executioner. She soon has to flee her world for earth to save herself. She moves from town to town trying to save humans from things they can’t even see. Joining a detective trying to solve crimes she secretly protects people from her old world. She seems to be trying to redeem herself for her past. This book is full of shape shifters, dragons, & other monsters. This book is the ultimate never keep yourself from reading different types of books because you may just be surprised and love them.

Oh man am I in love with this series. This is the prequel book to the Soul Keeper Series and I must say that I am well hooked. I really found the whole pretense of the book to just grab me and drag me in. The author has such a unique and unusual take on vampires and soul mates.

Lets face it the whole triangle thing going on between Theodora, Lyzander and Sam is seriously unique. I quite think I am routing for Lyzander though I have to say. I really like how the author has weaved this complexity into the book and how it adds to the drama and spice. I really look forward to reading more from this author

This book hits all the right notes that a book should. This book is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the end of the world is not brought on by mother nature, but by the meddling of mankind. When a virus runs rampant through humanity, causing those who are infected to turn into flesh eating zombies, it turns into a race against the clock for survival. Our main characters, Rafe, (bad A** and one overall tough dude) and Charle, (whip smart, hot chick lab scientist) are on the run from those who are infected. Rafe is determined to get to his sisters and keep Charlie alive in the process. Charlie is strong, smart and is determined to prove to Rafe that she is his equal and can help him, and is not a liability.

Things change as they are venturing on when Rafe and Charlie discover they are being hunted, not only by zombies, but by mercenaries. Will they survive? You will have to read this book and the first two in this series. This book is amazing. Incredibly detailed and the plot is beyond fantastic. Konstantin has proven herself to be an incredible author and I cannot wait to read more novels by her,

Awakening of a Soul Keeper by Brienne Dubh is a Prequel in the Soul Keeper series. This book is a brilliant introduction to what I feel will be an amazing series.
The whole story I found to be unique. Although it contained elements of fantasy that is, on its own, quite common, the way the author combined these elements brings to life a uniquely interesting story. There were times I really felt sorry for Theodora. Not only was she thrust into this entirely unfamiliar world but her familiar, safe world was being compromised because of it. And yet how she dealt with everything bring thrown at her was great to read about.
I really felt like we were taken along on a journey through this book and it has left me excited to see what might be next for this series.

Rising Star by Susannah Nix is the first book in her new Star struck series. The book follows Alice, a sociology student trying to complete her dissertation and gain the PhD that she’s been working on for the last five years. As if that wasn’t stressful enough her roommate needs her to move out, so he’s boyfriend can move in, and her job as a background extra on the show Las Vegas General, is finished as it wraps up its final season. Now Alice is basically homeless with no income and a looming dissertation dead line fast approaching. Thankfully in walks the up and coming actor Griffin, who’s been playing the smoking hot doctor on LA General, and in desperate need of a dog and house sitter while he films the latest blockbuster hit in Atlanta.
Rising Star was a cute, fluffy, enjoyable romance, in the way that all well written romances are. It has the perfect moment when the two main characters realise that what they’ve been looking for has been in front of them all along; as well as the right amount of angst and cheesiness. Susannah Nix also tackles more serious issues of the #metoo and TIME’S UP in the field of academics, that is vastly underrepresented in popular culture. Alice was a very believable character as she faced these issues, and her demeanour to sweep it all under the rug, rather than face social and academic backlash is incredibly relevant. Many young women are scared to speak up, or undervalue themselves when something terrible like this happens. And just as Susannah made clear in her novel, none of this is ever ok. It’s your body, and your choice.
This novel was very inspiring, as well as a cute romantic-comedy novel, that I really did enjoy. Overall I gave it 4/5 stars.

They just have a connection that leaps off the pages and plays out in front of you. This author is quickly making it to the top of my must read authors because the stories are always written well with relatable characters. I crawl inside and never want to leave. I love a book that makes me laugh. I’m giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it. Can’t wait to see where this author takes readers next time!!!

This is the first book I have read from Susannah Nix and I was pleasantly surprised. Normally when we think of celebrity romance we think of something light and fun but this wasn’t it and I loved that!

I loved Alice! Miss Nix had a way of showing her strengths and weaknesses but even made her weaknesses seem like a strength. She did an amazing job on letting us in her head which was amazing because I felt like there was a subplot to this book (I don’t want to ruin it for you) and she did a masterful job showcasing it!

I also loved Griffin. We see a side of him as being a celebrity that we normally don’t in these types of romances. It’s the side that completely sucks that you’re in the lime light. Normally we see the glory, not the “annoyance” it can bring!

Beautiful story if your looking for something completely different!

The story Tapped (The Night Moves Book 3) by Tarrah Anders is a contemporary romance book. It is a story that I loved reading. One of the main reasons are the characters of Janae and Kai. These two have a past which left Kai with a broken heart. Now they find themselves back together at the same place of employment. They both still have feelings for each other. There is still an attraction and chemistry between them. Some might call it fate. These two have a second chance at romance. Motives are unclear when a very good friend of Kai’s comes to visit. Why is he there and what will the effects of his visit be? Will they be split apart, or will they find their HEA? Read this book to find out. I loved reading about the interactions/dialogue between Janae, Kai, and the other additional characters in the story. Janae and Kai work at an establishment where there they are made to feel like family. You can feel the protective nature and the comradery. This story does include steamy scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I grew to care about Janae and Kai with each chapter that I read, and I wanted them to find happiness. This is a romance book that will pull you in from the very start and I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the final chapter. A story you don’t want to miss out on reading.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser had me hooked from the moment I started reading it. There was something about Theo from the very beginning that made me fall for him, it may have been the fact he’s a Cubs fan. As I learned more about his life I felt like I needed mother him.

Hadley couldn’t have been a better fit for Theo for so many reasons. Her love of dogs or the underdog had me. She is a great person and it was obvious from the beginning.

My only complaint is the fact Ms. Schlosser called the Cubs home park Wrigley Park instead of Wrigley Field. I’m not sure how many readers would have caught that, but as a Cubs fan it bugged me. But other than me being me I loved it and I’m hoping to see another book featuring Theo, Hadley and Aiden.

The Memory Of Us by Lisa Sorbe had my emotions all over the place. Elena having to go to her hometown after bring gone for twelve years to bury her Mother stirred something in me. It brought back a lot of the feelings I had when I went back to buy my Daddy. I too moved far from my hometown and tried not to look back.

Weston was Elena’s best friend practically from birth but when she left Minnesota he was left there to move forward. Imagine her surprise when she sees him almost as soon as she gets in.

I laughed, cried, shook my head and muttered to myself while reading this. There are several layers to this story which get peeled back one at a time. I have had the pleasure of reading all of Ms. Sorbe’s books and she has become one of the authors I will look for. Can’t wait to see what she gives me next.

Awakening of a Soul Keeper: Prequel to The Soul Keeper Series written by Brienne Dubh. This is a quick short read. You get to know Theodora, Sam, Lyzander and Roman along with how they met. I have not read the other stories in the book so getting to know them as the stories progress will be interesting based off of this. I like Theodora she seemed like a strong character whether she was defending herself or just being herself (even if she had to be a mouthy). Lyzander I think will be interesting to get to know, he seems like the big bad alpha male (which is expected since he’s technically the king). I’m curious to see where the story goes and the way this ends definitely makes you want more.

This is my second book by this author and I enjoyed it as much as the first one. I enjoy the writing style and her characters always seem to grab me right from the start, this one had me thinking I had things figured out only to be totally wrong and sitting on the edge of my seat.

This one was a bit more emotional than the first one I read and had me a hot mess through most of the book. Two completely broken people who seem to have too many differences to make it work seem to find a way to fit perfectly. I loved how strong Perrin was and with her attitude and living life loving adventures and taking chances it made me want to be her friend and her loyalty to friends and family was awesome. Im impressed by how this author handled Emil and how she tackled his PTSD it was written beautifully and had my emotions all over the place. I loved the inner dialogues that were portrayed by these characters.

I absolutely loved this story and have already added this author to my one click list, I can’t recommend it enough and also can’t wait for more from this author. I also want to learn Bachata dancing, I googled it and love it!

I love how the author writes with creativeness and has the ability to make me feel as if I am part of the book. This is a story of second chances and starting over. Janae and Kai had a relationship when they were younger and now fate may give them a second chance. But when secrets are revealed will it hurt their relationship and turn them against each other? These two are well developed and strong. Will hearts mend or will they break all over again? I highly recommend this book.

This is a sweet holiday story that will warm your heart. This is my first story by this author, it is well written and creative. The characters brought romance, humor, and drama to a story of starting over and leaving the past in the past. Amy was looking forward to the Christmas season until things didn’t go as planned. Amy is a character that you might dislike as she is into herself but she is a strong character that makes the story flow. I highly recommend reading this book.

I’ve started this year off with a bang! Untrainable is one incredible Rom-Com! I read this book in one sitting as I got so wrapped up in the story that I didn’t want to stop! From the very beginning Theo held my heart, he was funny, sweet, caring and thoughtful, which made him the perfect book boyfriend.

I can’t even count the amount of times I caught myself giggling as I followed this storyline. It was highly enjoyable the whole way through. This was my first book by this author but it sure won’t be my last, I can’t wait to dive into my next book by this author!

I would absolutely recommend this rom-com to anyone looking for their next romance!

Player by Pamela DuMond a royal flush of a five-star read. This is the first novel in the 21st Century Courtesan series and my first from this author and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into book 2. I don’t know hat I loved most about this one, it was all so sublime. There was love and drama as well as a darkness that will thrill you. This is one of those reads that you will read the surface and then pick up the undercurrents and they will grip you so hard, sometimes that can get a little confusing for me, but this author has a way with words that just flows so well you can keep up with it all. I don’t know if it was Evie as a character that helped me kept me so hooked or just the storyline. This is one of the first reads for this year and I suspect it’s going to be one of the best.

His parents have worked hard all their life and he wants them to reap the benefits. Jake also doesn’t think he’s ever gonna settle down so he has a friend with benefits. He doesn’t have time for a real relationship until he meets Santa’s elf at the store. She makes him feel things he’s never felt. Will the sale of the store go through or will he lose everything and will he risk his heart for a girl he finally thinks is the one. Loved this sweet, sexy story.

I love that this story is told from both characters point of view. I feel that I get a better grasp of the characters when the story is told from both point of view. I feel that Jamie Schlosser did a great job with writing about relationships that our characters have and how it affects our characters. This is what I really loved about this book, and I thought this made the whole story more than just a love story!

After seeing Hadley Holiday in a television show, Theo Legend can’t seem to get her out of his head or his dreams. Known as a bad boy and in need on money, he thinks of an idea to get both.

Hadley Holiday may not have won on The Final Showdown but she wants a career in show business and when she offered a job by Theo, she takes it.

Theo may not believe in love at first sight, but there is definitely something there between the two of them.

I always grab any book by this author and was not disappointed. I was hoping for a new book in The Good Guys series but this was a really cute novel set in reality television. Something I used to read when I was younger and gave me better insight how things happen behind the scene.

For anyone looking for a cute quick read, I recommend this novel. It’s the perfect book to start off the year with.

I have read many of this authors books, all of them The Satan’s Devils Tucson chapter and I love every one that I have read..I have become emotionally invested in all of these people but I have to say and this isn’t easy because each one is perfection…This one is my favorite as of right now. I don’t really know why but many aspects of this story had me so hooked and I sincerely did not want this book to end. Miss Mellett has absolutely positively outdone herself with this new Colorado chapter of the Satan’s Devils MC.

I’ll be honest I was worried about the change of location, the change of members, and most of all leaving behind those that I had grown to love but the way this was handled was perfectly brilliant in my opinion. Reading the different POV’s and never wondering or getting confused about what was going on made this transition for me very simple. Moira’s story was probably the most real story I’ve read in a long time…her thoughts, her fears everything was written and described in a way that would have any woman even nearing “that time” appreciating how real this story was and omg Hellfire..one of my favorite characters EVER..again with the real life stuff and just his character is unlike many other stories I’ve read.

Then..I haven’t even mentioned Pal and Jay who were the ones in the story I could relate to because they were the ones forced to make all the changes with location and learning all over again who you could and couldn’t trust.

I literally could probably write a 4 page review about this book, I have to stop because there are too many things I want to say. There is a lot going on in this book and it has me wanting the next like right now! I can’t wait for Demons story in Colorado and then Thankfully I get to go back to Tucson for Blades story…

LOVE LOVE LOVE this author, this series and knowing what is still to come.

(This can absolutely be read without reading the books before but i DO NOT recommend this…You would be missing out on so so much if you don’t read them all!)

I have to start with the gorgeous cover of this book first and foremost. Sometimes the most simplestated covers are the ones that stand out the most. The contrast of the bright purple flower against the black background grabbed my attention, along with the title, and had me hooked into buying this book without even knowing what it was about. I am glad that I went in blind and was treated to a new and delicious new treat. Not only was T. Birmingham a new author, so I have a new author to add to my TBR list, but I also now have a new series to follow as this is the first book of the Fallen Eagles MC Series. There was so much packed into this short and well crafted second chance romance that it is hard to believe that it was just a mere 154 pages. I felt the gambit of emotions, from knee buckling sadness to giddy joy, and that is everything you could ever want in a romance novel. I can’t wait to see what will come next for this series and in the other novels available from T. Birmingham.

Five Stars

Man this author really knows how to throw you curveballs in stories. I’m still stunned over what I just read. Jordan and Ben have a complicated relationship and it just got even more so. I can’t imagine holding myself back for 10 years. The author gave you so much in this short story. I really have enjoyed this series and this book made it even better.
