Wow I absolutely devoured this book. I was intrigued from the moment I picked this one up until the very last page. It was one of those story’s that had me on the edge of my seat and more often than not I was surprised at how thing were being played out. All is well and perfect for Victoria. She had a new husband and will soon be in a new home and in a new town. And all seems like a wonderful dream. That is until she meets her mother in law. And life is turned upside down and into a nightmare. This book was suspensful and had well developed characters and I was pulled in by the plot the moment I read the book description. What an adorable book! Untrainable is a romantic comedy written by Jamie Schlosser. I’ve ready Jamie’s other series, which were awesome! This book is just as good as those other ones. This one is even more adorable! This book follows Theodore “Theo” Legend. He is famous because is family had a reality tv series and he was considered the “Black Sheep” of the family. Then his parents were killed in a car accident. Hadley Holiday is famous because she was on a talent show on tv with her dog Matilda and made it to third place. Theo is now broke and the laughing stock of the press. He needs to get on the good side of the public. But he also wants Hadley too. So what does he do? He comes up with a realty show comedy where Hadley “trains” him to be a decent human being in public! She isn’t so sure of the idea but goes along with it because she was banking on winning the competition. I love the chemistry between these two! They are so different but it works for them. It doesn’t hurt that the both of them are pretty gorgeous and they both are attracted to each other. This book really is pretty funny and so sweet! I love Jaime’s writing style. It sucks you in and makes you think you are in a rom-com movie! I absolutely adore this book and I would definitely recommend a good book. You will not be sorry you bought this book!
Immediately captivated, I cannot get enough of this book, series, and author. Intrigue, secrets, romance… this book has it all! The author does a masterful job developing the plot and characters throughout the series. This book stands well on its own but is best appreciated when read in series order. I was hooked on page one and couldn’t put it down until the last page was read. Loved it!

UNTRAINABLE is a fantastic rom-com that I read in one sitting. The main characters are delightful from beginning to end. They are multi-dimensional, well developed and great to read. In addition to tickling my funny bone, this story tugged at my heart strings.
There are a few scenes where I laughed so hard I woke my husband up. I really enjoy this author and hope this series continues with the brother’s story being told next.
A reminder, don’t shop – please adopt. Most communities have overflowing shelters that house animals you could fall in love with.
Untrainable is a Rom Com that grabbed my attention on the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I read the last page. Jamie Schlosser is on my automatic TBR list. I have enjoyed many of her books, but I have to say this one is my new favorite. For me, a book that can bring out my emotions, like laughing out loud or bursting into tears, is how I rate my five stars. This book did both. The witty dialogue and the sexual chemistry between Theo-Dog Legend and Hadley Holiday was what brought this story together. It was an emotional roller coaster for me, but I really didn’t want to get off. I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a really good romancewith all the feels.i can’t wait to read what Ms. Schlosser has in store for us next.
Player was a great 5 star read and book one in the 21st Century Courtesan series. I was pulled right in from the beginning with a childhood memory that was heartbreaking for Evie. I actually finished this book in one sitting, I couldn’t put it down.

Evie is a teacher trying to take care of her mother and sister and is barely paying off her student loans. A friend offers her an opportunity to make some good money, at first she turns it down but quickly changes her mind.
She is now a very popular escort in Chicago with Ma Maison. There are several people interested in Evie. Evie is considered a problem solver and can help people. She was just about to take a 30 day leave to spend time with her family but she was personally requested by someone who needed her badly. Dylan is desperate for her help, she goes with him to a high-stakes poker party and things progressed from there. Things take an interesting twist for Evie with her family, and an unexpected stalker.
I really liked Evie’s story. There is something about her that drew me right in. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story. We get past and present POV’s which added to the story as well. This is my first read from Pamela and I loved it, she pulls you right in with her writing. The ending isn’t what I expected and now I’m anxiously awaiting the next book to see what happens. If you’re looking for a different type of read with danger, sex, love and so much more I highly recommend this book.
Wish Upon a Bollywood Star By Pamela Q Fernandes. While this is a book outside my normal reading taste it still had me very engaged. The storyline is fun and while a bit shorter it never felt rushed or lacking anything in my opinion. The characters are complex and believable with a plot that interesting and fun to read. Watching the go between with Soumya and Vir Seth is fun and engaging. This author is still pretty new to me but again I wasn’t disappointed and I’m excited to see where the author takes readers next. I’m giving this book a four star review and recommend it to anyone.

The two books that I’ll be reviewing from this anthology are Foxxy Christmas by Allyson R. Abbott and A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon by Tamara Ferguson.
Foxxy Christmas is definitely my favorite book by this author to date! The storyline wasn’t what I would normally expect from this author which made it even more enjoyable! The two main characters had great chemistry and I loved following their action-packed journey. If you’re looking for a fast-paced romance look no further, you will not be disappointed!
A Kiss Under a Blue Christmas Moon is the 4th book in the Daydreams and Dragonflies Sweet romance series and it’s also my first book of the series. I was able to follow along easily having not read the first three books of the series. I really enjoyed this book from start to end, which is not surprising as I always enjoy this authors work!
I would recommend this anthology to anyone looking for a new romance read based on these two books alone.

The Lies We Tell by Brittany Butler was a okay read that was intriguing engaging, that showed how lies can build up and before you know it, you’re trapped and suffocating in them.
My first read by this author, I went in with a open mine and let myself get sucked into this original read. A look into the life of our MC, a self proclaimed liar, we are tossed from past to present, jumping around her life in pieces, a bit here and there, all told from her POV. A fairly quick read, you’re finished before you know it, with a surprising ending that makes you wonder.
To be honest, I did have some mixed feels about this read. Why? It was the jumping between past and the present and back again. I didn’t find the transitions all that smooth, and at times I was a little confused as to what year I was in. I do get why the author did this, I just think, for me, it wasn’t a smooth as it could have been.
Other then that, I very much enjoyed this relatable and relevant read. It really puts a spot of what today’s generation is like, and frankly, most of the MC’s problems could have been solved with a conversation rather than pushing it all down, lying and running. But with today’s quick gratifications, it easier to just pretend everything is good rather than deal with it. Especially failure, and you’ll find out how fast our MC can’t deal with that life lesson.
Overall, though I do have some mixed feelings about this book, the good out weight the bad, and I give it my high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Super adorable! Susannah Nix is an author who continues to impress me with her well developed plots, beautiful characters and complex storylines. This book starts off quick and I love that about books. I am not really into the slow burn kind of book. I like when an author gets into the meat and potatoes of what the book is supposed to be about, and this author does that. Griffin and Alice are two very loveable characters. Alice has found herself in the situation where she is losing her job and her home, and Griffin, super duper i-am-moving-from-a-soap-drama-to-be-a-movie-star Griffin, is needing someone to dog sit his pooch. Griffin offers her the job and she accepts. Fast forward to her moving in and the sexual tension between the two rise. I won’t spoil it for you but when the tension finally spills over, it comes boiling out. NOTE: Ms Nix offers a word of caution in the preface as there is some subject matter in the form of sexual harassment that is addressed in this story. If this subject makes you uncomfortable in anyway, please consider this before reading, otherwise, this book is highly recommended.

C.L. Schneider’s Flash Point is the first book in the Nite Fire series. This paranormal fantasy novel delves immediately into the world that of fantastical creatures and dangers that lurk within the shadows. C.L. Schneider is a creative author that strives in creating worlds that are outside of typical purview and gives the reader something that will stroke their imagination in ways they hadn’t believed possible. Dahlia’s story is filled with monsters we want to avoid and also her inner battles she’s trying to right while protecting those that she believes need it. This story immediately captured my interest and it was difficult to pull myself away from it – I just had to continue. Again, C.L. Schneider has shown they are a powerful and strong paranormal/fantasy author that is a must read.

Love, Love, Love. This book was everything and more.
Untrainable was filled with laughs, banter, passion, romance and a whole lot of brilliance, it was also sweet and emotional and I couldn’t help but love each character. This was captivating and such a wonderful read that I couldn’t rate enough! I absolutely loved everything about this read, this author has a brilliant writing style that totally connects the reader to the storyline and the amazing characters she has created.
This romantic comedy was brilliant from the start, I couldn’t put it down and I read it in one sitting. I was truly captivated with this read and couldn’t put it down, it had me laughing out loud, grinning from ear to ear and even feel some of their pain in certain situations through this book, maybe even a few tears. But this was an amazing comedy romance read that I would read over and over again. With that being said there were secondary characters in this read that most defiantly deserve their own book such as Aiden I would love to read his story.
But for one thing can we just point out how perfect Hadley & Theo are together, they have an immediate connection that draws us in as readers and each other, they have such a real and raw relationship you can see both of them taking things from each other and helping each other on a journey. I love the reassurance and love Hadley gives Theo that he truly needs, and loved seeing the playful and more confident side to Hadley come out thanks to Theo, they really do bring out the best in each other and I loved reading it!
This is a read not to be missed, and will be loved by all, I cannot wait to see what else this author brings to this series and hope this isn’t the last we read of Hadley & Theo’s story.

Hope’s Defeat by: Angela McPherson is the third in the Fated book series. This story is the perfect end to a perfect day. This book has amazing characters new and old that were well developed and fun to read about. All of these books were fun and full of just enough to keepn you in the edge of jour seat waiting to see what will happen next . I enjoyed this book as much if not more than its counterparts. Cant wait to see what this author does next. I give this book a solid 5 stars.

Untrainable by Jamie Schlosser is a classic and witty tale of a bad boy seeking redemption, and who better than a woman to lead him to the good side. Theo needs to clean up his image and Hadley is the perfect lady to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Untrainable is a highly entertaining story of how someone can redeem themselves and live a happy life in the spotlight. A tale of finding your soulmate and and a little self belief that a beautiful soul resides within. The story was brilliantly written, the characters given a powerful voice and and their story is begging to be heard. A story that a reader can totally lose themselves in. An epic 5 star read.
Dark and twisted, this thriller had me on the edge of my seat for the entire ride. O’Flynn has proven herself to be a masterful storyteller and this latest book is no exception. I enjoyed it from beginning to end. The plot twists kept me guessing and the ending was completely unexpected. Loved it!
Paladin’s Hell by Manda Mellet is the first book in her Colorado Chapter series that is the spinoff of her Satan’s Devils MC series (it is after all the mother club!). It is not the first spinoff of the ‘mother series’ but I am sure many of the other fans will agree with me when I say that this one was a long awaited one! You can take and read it as a standalone, as an opening move for the new series but I promise you, you will be awarded immensely if you read the Satan’s Devils MC series first (if you have the time!) We meet our couple – Paladin and Jayden – in the Satan’s Devils MC … the writer has given us a little taste here and there and it has been a very hard wait. Surprisingly the story is told from four people’s point of view – obviously Paladin and Jayden and then also Hellfire and Moria (the President of the Colorado Chapter and his Old Lady). It was hard to believe that we have to share this story also with Hellfire and Moria and then the whole Colorado Chapter … the dynamics are sooo sooo different from the mother club, the Satan’s Devils MC that I had grown to love through the nine stories … at the same time, I was happy to be introduced to this new band of brothers and I cannot wait to read the stories I can coming our way! Jayden has survived a nightmare and Paladin is her knight in black leather … they are young and some think that maybe too young to know their minds … the writer takes us on a journey to finding one’s way to their dreams … what a ride!

The Memory of Us by Lisa Sorbe is a new adult romance novel. This book pulls you in and doesn’t let go even when the book is done. It is so emotional it puts you on an emotional rollercoaster.
Elena left Wolf Lake once to pave way for her future. She didn’t think she’d be back but here she is after her mother’s passing. She knows the way she left before maybe wasn’t the best way but it needed to be done. Now she is face to face with the past when the first person she sees is Weston. She never meant to break his heart but she did what she felt was necessary. Just as soon as she can get her moms house on the market she plans to make a break for it back to her life in Phoenix. Now the only problem is, Elena’s attraction to Weston hasn’t changed. Will she be able to leave Wolf Lake all over again or will their connection keep her around this time?
Elena is strong and driven but at the beginning of the book, I wasn’t her biggest fan. Once I kept reading, I saw more into Elena’s character and warmed up to her quicker than I thought I would. She was a little brash at first but there’s more to her than meets the eye. I truly enjoyed reading this book and meeting these characters.

Nite Fire immediately pulled me in with Dahlia’s escape in the first chapter. I fell in love with her character as the story progressed. I loved how strong her character is. I also really enjoyed the storyline and how easy it was to get lost in. I cant wait to read more from this author.

An Italian Adventure (The Italian Saga #1) by Gaia B. Amman was an intriguing engaging tale of, growing up not only in a different culture, for me, but, the growing pains that we all at one point, faced.
My first read by this author, I went in with an open mind, and frankly I’m so glad I picked up this book. As the title says this book is set in Italy, and the authors is Italian. I did know the author was Italian before reading this book, and I actually watched her on Youtube reading the first chapter of this book before getting it. You could say her rendition was the driving point home for me picking it up. With that being said, english is not her first language, so yeah there are some sectance issues and what not, but do not take that into account, or let it take away from this wonderful tale.
This book covers so much, and since this is based on the author’s life growing up, for me I always find it hard to rate someone’s life experiences. So as I do when I read memoirs or biographies, I’m not going to get into the characters or the plot. What I am going to tell you is that, this story is as I said, engaging, pulling and has this rhyme to it that you can help but get sucked into. As we get more into the story and the author navigates her tale, we see into another world, another culture so different to ours, but at the same time you can still draw some comparisons. I myself grew up in an all catholic town, so yeah, I don’t believe I need to say anymore. This book will open your eyes to things no movie or TV show can ever describe.
Overall I loved every minute of this book, and I can’t wait to dive into the next one. This book I believe, is a must read, for everyone, but I will say that this book is attended for older youths and adults. Even though the characters are young, this isn’t a children’s or young readers book.
So to end, yes, I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.

‘Wish Upon a Bollywood Star’ is definitely outside of my typical reading box, but with 2019 approaching I was determined to broaden my horizons as a goal this year and find some new jewels in the process. I had read Pamela Q. Fernandes’s ‘Painting Kuwait Violet’ last year and enjoyed it so when the cover of this one caught my eye I decided to go in blind and give it a shot, and I am glad that I did. There were a few moments where I had to remind myself that I was reading about another culture because this did touch several nerves for me on the topic of verbal and manipulative abuse, or what I would consider it, towards women. In the end I see where this made sense for the role of the character and how it worked out. For me it just was a bit much and could have been toned down a tad still so that is why I knocked a star off. Otherwise the reset of the book was fun and entertaining and kept me on my toes wondering how this twisty love story would end up.

I am an absolute sucker for clickbait lists and horrible mother in law stories are some of my favorite. So obviously I saw this book was immediately like “I need this”. Maybe I like stuff like this so much because my mother in law is one of the sweetest women I’ve ever met. IDK My first thought in this was why would anyone ever get married after knowing someone for only a month? My husband and I got married after dating for 8 years! Victoria just decides she’s ready to be a wife and a mother? Girl is entitled to her opinion but the mother in law she didn’t know was going to be living with sure made her question that decision. Victoria gets tangled in the web of lies that Madeline is weaving, while Brad remains willfully ignorant. There were so many times I just wanted to shake Victoria by her shoulders and tell her to drop everything and leave that house while she still could of her own will! I definitely got just a pinch of Skeleton Key and Norman Bates in this book and I would recommend it to almost anyone.

Fatal Legislation: A Novel: Karina Cardinal Mystery Book 2 is written by Ellen Butler. Karina is a lobbyist in Washington D.C. who has a Senator drop dead at her feet. Nothing is ever simple for Karina and she becomes a “person of interest” in the death. Luckily Karina is smart and inquisitive so she starts her own investigation before she can be blindsided by the FBI. This is well written with great thought to the story and dialogue. I was drawn into the story as I had been with the first book in the series. This could be read as a standalone but I think it would be sad to lose what was built in the first novel with the characters. I like that Karina is smart and curious. Sometimes this gets her in some bad situations but helps her also in her quests of solving the mystery. I look forward to where this series takes Karina next.

Shadow’s Keep: A Novel by Meghan O’Flynn was dark, twisted, shocking and down right amazing!
Not my first read by this author, so I knew going in, that I was in for something crazy. I was not disappointed in the least. After binge reading and watching happy, heart melty Christmas books/movies, I needed this turn into the dark twisty, thriller verse. This book was truly the perfect kick off for the New Year.
There is so much going on in this book that I can’t just pick one thing to focus on, nor can I give anything away. This book like the authors other works, are full of small clues that you think insignificant; to shocking twists you don’t see coming, to of course, that heart pounding, breath catching ending that leaves you not only shocked, but for a moment, a little confused.
The attention to detail was on point, but it’s not something I’m shocked about, as this is a constant staple throughout the author’s works. What gets me is the ability to not only have shock factors that you don’t see coming, but the ability to grow them as the story moves forward. Each one plays on your mind, and you almost have to back track to see if you can catch were the author led you astray.
The characters, are well built and multi layered, they make this story real and it’s almost like you’re there, taking part rather than watching. This book is another masterful written thriller, from an amazingly talented author. And if you haven’t guessed, I give this book my super high recommendation and my stamp of approval.
Santa’s Little Helper By Shaan Ranae ☆☆☆☆☆ A Christmas Romance just right for the a quick read. Not for those under 18 due to adult theme.
This was the perfect story for filling in some quiet time. Shaan Ranae has written this quick page turning story. I loved her characters, as well as their personality. Reading how Jake was afraid of children cracked me up. Reading his thoughts was hot and steamy. But his loyalty to family and friends was refreshing. Pulling this story together. All the feels were there, the story was complete. What more could a reader ask for? I will be looking for more from Shaan Ranae.
Nite Fire: Flash Point by C.L. Schneider is the first book in the Nite Fire series. This follows the story of Dahlia Nite who has escaped execution by coming to Earth. She is a shapeshifting assassin who is redeeming herself on Earth by trying to protect the people from what lives in the shadows. This is a page-turner and kept me on the edge of my seat. The writing is well done and the characters are developed and interesting. I did not want to like Dahlia at first but could not help liking her as she was trying to help the people of Earth. This is a supernatural thriller and did not disappoint. Dahlia is not only a shapeshifter but part dragon and human. The human world and city are painted expertly then an added depth is added when we get a look at what is in the shadows. If you enjoy a good mystery I recommend this book especially if you like a supernatural twist to a story. I look forward to the next book in the series.
Paladin’s Hell was a great 5 star read and book one in the Colorado Chapter. You get pulled in right from the beginning.
Paladin first met Jayden when he carried her from a nightmare and into safety at the club. She is the sister of the president’s old lady. There is something about Jayden that is pulling Paladin in. Because of her age Paladin has been told that Jayden needs to be legal before he can be with her. Keeping things on a friends level has been hard.
Now it seems danger is lurking in the shadows, someone is coming for Jayden. Paladin agrees to take Jayden to another chapter to keep her safe. Things take an interesting and dangerous twist at the new club. Will Pal be able to keep Jay safe? Can they finally be together?
What I loved is that Paladin had a secret that Jayden was pleasantly surprised about. Any doubts I’d had that he was the one for me had been swept away – Jay
I was excited to get to read their story and I wasn’t disappointed. We also get to know several other characters, especially the new club pres and his wife. We get flashbacks from past to present. We also get a HEA but it definitely wasn’t an easy road. Manda does a great job with her writing, she pulls you right in. I can’t wait to read more from this series.

Santa’s Little Helper by Shaan Ranae is a short holiday read. The story is a fun, steamy romantic read. I don’t want to say too much because I will give the story away. The characters are good and I like that there is a focus on the importance of family as well as romance. This was a cute holiday read that put me in the Christmas spirit. Jake is sexy and handsome in the description. I like that he grabs the emergency and fills in as Santa. I look forward to more reads from this author in the future.

Hope’s Defeat, Book 3 in the Fated Series by Angela McPherson 5 out of 5 Stars
This third installment of the Fated series is everything I could have hoped for. This book is not a standalone. You will want to read the previous two books in the series to fully understand what is happening in this book as this one starts off with a bang. We start off with Trinity, lost and losing hope for finding Blain. Trinity and Blain share a connection that Blain is struggling to understand and Trinity is struggling to hold on to. You can physically feel the amount of guilt and pressure that Trinity is holding over herself as she searches to find Blain and the sorrow that comes when she learns of the missing Watchers. Blain is an intense character. His dynamic is both complex, yet very simple. He is purpose driven, fear driven, and emotion driven. He is selfish. He knows that, but at his core, his most basic of creation, he is going to protect Trinity. He was born to do that. My most favorite part of this entire book and series is the paranormal aspect where the author brought in pieces of mythology. To see all of the actions and the heartbreak from the past two books come to a conclusion in this final book, was both happy and sad at the same time. I am sad that there is not going to be another book, but I am also happy for the conclusion of this epic story. This author is a masterful storyteller. She has the unique ability to combine known mythology and make it new with interesting characters, heart wrenching story-lines and lovable, relatable characters who you become attached to. I highly recommend this book for lovers of history, paranormal, romance, and sci-fi. You will not regret picking up this book.
An exciting and gripping crime novel, Shadow’s Keep by Meghan O’Flynn is unforgettable. I could not put this novel down. Will was an excellent main character and I loved following him as he worked this case. Cassie was sweet and Mike was interesting. I really liked this novel’s easy to read story line. I felt it was very realistic and enjoyed that small towns where the focus of the setting.
