Alterations by Jane Suen is an interesting short sci fi tale and is readable in one go. The story line is full of suspense and mystery. The story is told in multiple POV’s which gives us the readers a better understanding of what the characters think, why they do what they do. Like our good doctor, Dr Kite. Is he a genius or is he Dr Frankenstein? Is he clever or is he crazy? And just what is he doing to people?

Game Changer is the second book of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen and is a sci fi story of sorts. It is a very quick read, the same as the first but it holds you from start to finish. This book picks up where the first book left off and carries on in the same vein but has an under current of mystery and feels a tad sinister. As there is multiple characters with a story, reading the first book is essential or you will not know what is going on. The story is told in multiple POV’s so it gives an insight into each characters life. As this is a trilogy I expect everything that is coming will end in an explosive way. Looking forward to see what Jane has left in store for our characters.
Drawing Strength From Words by C.A. King is the second book in her Four Horsemen series. Finally, it is here! I read the first story and I could not wait for the second one! It is a remarkable paranormal series where it seems that it somehow becomes better with each book (like wine …). If you love mythology then absolutely this series is for you – I am sure you have heard the legend of the four horsemen before and let me tell you, the writer has put an interesting spin on it! Drawing Strength from Words is the story of Gabrielle and Ryder. Gabrielle is the second horseman and surprise surprise the second horseman really is … a woman! And what a woman she is – independent, powerful, resourceful, confident … and oh so lovable! Ryder, he is a perfect match for her – he is as closed as her but there is bond there and it keeps growing and … yeah, the writer is taking us on one heck of a ride, no pun intended. It is a beautiful story that mixes the ancient myth and contemporary life and love … what else do you need? Cannot wait for the third story, I wonder what that horseman will tell us …

Megan Mackie’s The Finder of the Lucky Devil is the first in the Lucky Devil series. This science fiction/fantasy novel has a little bit of everything mixed within in: suspense, drama, fantasy/science fiction, heartbreak, strife and more. I didn’t initially plan to read this story, but once I began, I was engrossed within the book. The author has created multi-faceted characters with hypnotizing sequences, action and addictive suspense. Rune’s the lead character is this story and she was so well written. Let’s not forget the Lucky Devil, so imaginative, creative and ingenious. This story was done correctly and is definitely one you should take a chance on.

Caught in a lie is the sixth book in The Marcy Series by Linda Burson and is a contemporary romance story. Each book in the series gets better and better and one I have loved since the first book. I love these characters and feel like I am a part of their journey, their love, their life, their unwavering love and commitment to each other. Emotions run high and strong from anger and frustration, insecurities and love, pain and heartache, heartbreak and excitement and you feel everyone of them. When they laugh you laugh, when they break you break with them. I love and enjoy reading about Marcy and the men in her life. Let me tell you, there were tears shed reading this one. As usual Linda’s words had me turning page after page to see what was going to happen next and I couldn’t stop until I had finished devouring each and every word. The next book can not come quick enough.

I found Player by M.L. Sparrow more enjoyable than the last couple of NA Sport Romance books that I have read. The writing was smooth and very evenly paced. I liked that the romance wasn’t rushed and even though Chloe and Parker tried to be friends first; they both knew it wasn’t going to work. This book is the perfect world building book; most of that drama sets around the other characters to set up those books. Don’t get me wrong, Chloe and Parker did have their share of drama but they fit together so well it didn’t make too big of a mess for their relationship. Overall, I would recommend this book if you’re looking to start a new New Adult College romance series.
The Gift Saga Trilogy by Effie Kammenou is now available in one great package, all three books in this fantastic box set. I had previously read all three book and adored them, it really is such a superb series. So, when I saw this box set was now available, it was a great excuse to dive into the series and experience it all over again. And I have to say that I enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time, only this time there was no wait between books. #WINNING. The series contains theses three books:
Evanthia’s Gift: The Gift Saga Series Book #1: 4 Stars Evanthia’s Gift is the first book in the Gift Saga by Effie Kammenou. This story kept coming up on my book feed and I kept looking at it, but never took the plunge as I wasn’t really sure of what to expect. But after reading a few reviews and then having it recommended by a friend, I finally decided to jump in. We watch the story unfold, meeting Anastasia Fotopoulos- and follow her journey, meeting her friends and family and the complexities that come along the way. The story spans about 50 years, so it is definitely a saga. This book did take me by surprise, because I ended up loving it so much more than I thought I would. This book is about betrayal, heartache, single parenthood, friendship, bonds, struggles, love, secrets, acceptance, cultural divides, blending of families, family pressure, heritage, responsibility, expectation, romance, and overall- a wonderful multigenerational love story. A story that tugged at my heartstrings.
Waiting for Aegina: The Gift Saga Series Book #2: 4 Stars Waiting for Aegina is the second book in The Gift Saga by Effie Kammenou. We pick up right where the Evanthia’s Gift finished off. And again, we are treated to a beautiful story that tugged on my heartstrings. The author writes beautifully, painting vivid images with her words. The details and descriptions transported me into the story and I followed along as the story transpired. This journey of friendship, connections, and love is a fitting sequel to the first book. I loved catching up with characters from the first book, as well as meeting some new ones. The characters really make this story special. I think this book is a little more complex and dramatic than the first one. But every bit as enjoyable. The Greek culture and heritage depicted in the story adds an honest, fascinating and enlightening element to the book. The story has a great pace, a smooth flow and is easy to read. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this awesome saga.
Chasing Petalouthes: The Gift Saga Series Book #3 5 Stars Chasing Petalouthes (Chasing Butterflies) is the third and final book in The Gift Saga by Effie Kammenou. What a great series this has been, and what a way to bring this saga some closure. There is tragedy, flawed characters, heart ache, trying to find your place in the world- all wrapped up in this ‘next generation’ coming of age story. The story was every bit as good as the other two, but seemed to manage to etch itself just a little deeper into my heart. This book/series has been so lovingly crafted by Ms. Kammenou. She has a really wonderful way with words, and a style that lends itself to stories that will evoke emotion in the reader. Ms. Kammenou’s vivid imagery paints a ‘landscape’ using words, bringing this beautiful story/series to ‘life’- the story becomes so visual. The story had me so tied up in knots, emotionally, right from the beginning. I really felt for these characters and what they were, and had been though. I did wonder quite a lot through the story about what the end would have in store for them. This story/ series is wonderful, but the characters are really what makes it so special- and I have enjoyed every step of the way- heartache, happiness and all. I think this book is my favourite of the series, Ms. Kammenou leaving the best till last! It is a little sad to think this journey is over, but I am also intrigued by what Ms. Kammenou will do next.
This series is incredibly good- full of Greek culture, family traditions, love, friendship, heartache, happiness, determination, emotion, and sooo much more all wrapped up in this captivating saga. I really recommend this series to everyone who loves a great sweeping saga with a wonderful story, interesting and endearing characters who pull you into their tale/s, and a truly unforgettable read! You won’t be disappointed!!

The first instalment of the What Happens on Campus series, Player is a new adult sports romance that hits all the right spots. Set in a Texan college, this book had everything I was hoping for and more. I cannot recommend it enough and have already downloaded the next book to read!
Full disclosure, I love a sports romance. Literally any sport and I’m obsessed with whatever book it is, especially if our leading man happens to play American football; even better if he’s the quarterback! As an English girl, like our leading lady Chloe, this allows me to escape into all of my fantasies. Basically, I’ve decided that I am Chloe and her story is now my own. I love this character and everything about her. Having suffered a traumatic event just a few years earlier, she is still learning how to cope with her new life. I love the mix of vulnerability and independence that she has and how despite everything, she has still found the strength to continue with her dreams. I not only want to be her, I want to be her friend, too. What more could you want in leading lady?!
Chloe has something else I want, too: Parker’s attention. What a dream of a man. Yes, he is a bit of a player, but what girl doesn’t love a bit of confidence? He’s a confident, cheeky athlete who also wears a hat (yes, I’m a sucker for this), so he’s basically my own personal version of heaven. While his timing sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, I really loved his and Chloe’s relationship. I won’t ruin the whole story for you, prepare yourself for some emotional moments!
On top of everything else that is perfect about this book, I loved the cast of supporting characters that supported Chloe and Parker. Riley is a particularly interesting character and I can’t wait to find out more about her past in the next book in the series, Flirt. This was a truly brilliant read and I’m about to throw myself straight into the next one!

The Past Returns is the fifth book in The Marcy Series by Linda Burson and is a contemporary romance story and one hell of a series. These characters and feel like family as I follow their journey and commitment to each other. Their trials and tribulations of trying to make their unusual relationships work cause emotions to run high. Insecurities and love, playful and funny banter and excitement cause your heart to beat a little faster and when they cry you cry, when they laugh you laugh right along with them. This is another page turner and one you once again can’t put down until you know exactly where it ends. Bring on book six.

Misfortune of Time: Druid’s Brooch Series, #6 by Christy Nicholas is a historical fantasy story.Whilst it can be read as a standalone, I suggest reading the others to understand the characters and the world they live in. The story started off a little slow but quickly picked up pace as the suspense kicked in. Christy’s writing takes you back in time to a beautiful time and place that you can imagine. But it is a cruel existence for our main character, where she lives with abuse and her decision to survive. Her rich and vibrant words have you hanging on each and every word and keeps the pages turning and enjoying the magical world she has created.

The Past Returns is the fifth book in the Marcy Series by Linda Burson. WOW! So just when I am starting to really wrap my head around everything that has happened in the series so far, Ms. Burson hit me with The Agreement and had my mind reeling with the direction the story had taken. This book picks up pretty much where The Agreement concluded- so if you haven’t read that book, or the rest of the series, I really recommend that you do because there is a bridging/continuing storyline that will be a little confusing if you don’t have all the facts. I am impressed that this far into the series, Ms. Burson still has the ability to pull me into her storyline and completely surprise me. As I said in my last review, the more books I read in this series and the way it continues to evolve and deliver unexpected twists- the more in awe I am of her as an author and just how brilliantly thought out, and fantastically written, this book/entire series really is. This story has secrets, shocks, emotions, a love triangle/three-way, interesting family/relationship dynamics, romance, suspense, drama, misunderstandings, jealousy, frustration, trust issues, tension, dilemmas, and a large dose of fate. Marcy, Brad and Liam are working out the finer points and logistics of The Agreement that was reached in the last instalment. These quite complex individuals are quite endearing and have easily drawn me into their tale, making me emotionally invested in them and the outcome of their story. The story is written in such a way that it is believable, exploring some of the more complicated situations that can occur in relationships when the heart wants what the heart wants- the character situations and their interactions are realistic and relatable, even if I haven’t experienced that myself before. And as I have come to expect from Ms. Burson, she doesn’t make it easy for her characters- they have to ‘work’ for their happiness, while she also throws in a few twists and interesting developments that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what would happen next. The characters, and the storyline really have come a long way since everything that happened in book one, and I have enjoyed watching the story and characters develop and grow over the course of the five books so far. What is in store for Marcy, Brad, Liam, and baby Evan- and how will The Agreement work out in the end? The story is set to continue in the next book and I have already taken the plunge to find out what will become of them all….. Well Done!

I have a bad habit of reading out of order but I am very happy to be able to be able to follow the story line quite well. This is the sixth book in the series and even though it is the first one I have read I was quite drawn into the book and not feeling out of sorts.
I really was drawn to Etain. The fact that she had been through so much and that it was what really built her character and who she was really made the book a very gripping read. I found myself on tenterhooks as she dealt with her situation and the drama that unfolds in the book. I also found it quite a unique story line of the brooch and the fact that she had lived many lifetimes. I also found the time frame of the book to be quite interesting just on the cusp of religion becoming more popular than paganism. This book had some very interesting twists to it and I really do look forward to reading more of this series and by this author.

Arctic Fire is another 5 star read by Maddie Wade. I have only read a couple of her books so far but all have been 5 star reads. Arctic Fire is the 6th book in the Fortis Security Series. Each book in this series can be read as a stand-alone. Although all the couples from books 1-5 appear in this book, it does not matter if you have not read them. I had not read any of the other books from this series and it did not spoil my enjoyment of this one. All it did was make me want to go back and read books 1-5. Maddie Wade writes amazing characters and lets you get right into their heads and feel everything along with them. Roz and Kanan (K) in this book are no different. Roz is the head of Zenobi, a group of female assassins who is out to kill Usov, an evil man who she was forced to marry but has now escaped from. Kanan Phillips is a former MI6 agent who now works for Fortis Security. 15 years previously Kanan had rescued Roz and fell in love with her although Roz does not remember this. A chance meeting years later sees Roz and Kanan spend an idyllic couple of months together before Roz disappeared. Now Roz is working alongside Fortis to save a group of girls held captive by Usov and with the intention to kill Usov. Can Roz work alongside Kanan? Will she tell him why she disappeared and left him? Will she give in and admit that she is still in love with Kanan? The chemistry between Roz and Kanan is on fire. I love how well written these 2 characters are. As the story is written from more than one point of view, we get to see what is going through both of their heads. I loved seeing Roz’s struggle to show that she was strong and did not need Kanan but at the same time fight with her feelings for him. This book has everything you could want in a book. It is full of action and suspense which keep you gripped from beginning to end. Added to this is the romance between Roz and Kanan with its so many ups and downs. You just can’t help but hope that there is a HEA for Roz and Kanan.

Misfortune of Time is the sixth book in the Druid’s Brooch Series by Christy Nicholas. This is a historical fantasy- with paranormal elements, drama, adventure, action, romance, magic, and much, much more. I really love all the attention to detail and the vividly descriptive storytelling that Ms. Nicholas excels at- it brings her stories to life and makes them very realistic, believable, and relatable. As with the other books in this series that I have read, this is really well written, very polished, and thoroughly researched. The story is fascinating- and really captured my attention right from the first few pages. The character/s are complex, fully realised individuals who were cleverly crafted- with interesting and likeable or detestable natures- as the author is easily able to sway you one way or another. As you can probably tell, I haven’t read the book in this series in sequence- instead picking them by random. So, even though this is the sixth book in the series, you really can read it as a standalone- as all the books I have read in this series appear to be standalone stories, with the ‘Druids Brooch’ being the connecting element. Having said that though, if you love a great fantasy with lots of historical elements, then you would most definitely enjoy the other books in this series as well- and you would be missing out by not reading them. In this book we meet Etain, who lives in Ireland in the 11th century, she’s a pagan who has to keep this secret, especially from her devoutly religious husband, who also happens to be a priest. There is much more to Etain than she appears- for a start she is 150 years old and is able to harness the magic of her Druids Brooch to remain ageless, but is also be able to change her appearance when necessary. Her husband is an abusive pig, but she remains in her situation in order to look out for a loved one. But, a situation occurs which threatens her life and Etain has no choice but to flee- and I felt that it was at this point in the book where this story really took off…….. Where does she go? What does she discover? And when the past comes back to haunt her, will she make the right decision? All this and much more can be discovered between the covers of this spellbinding story! The best of the bunch, so far!

Beach Love is the fourth book in her Love Collection series. I read it as a standalone and I think it is ok to do so … obviously one could argue that one always gets more out of the series by reading the stories in order and … but what about if you are just getting acquainted with a new writer? Well, I started with the fourth book, enjoyed it tremendously so I might just pick up also the first three books as I got a bit curious about some of the characters that I know were in the previous books … Beach Love is a short and easy read when you are craving something sweet and relaxing with a little twist of fate thrown into it … Beach Love is the story of Melissa and Connor and they really seem to be made for each other … there is instant attraction and there is slow burn and there is soul searching and there is being honest with oneself and taking a chance … So if you are a romantic at heart and want to spend an evening with something easy and heart-warming then pick up a bottle of wine and Beach Love!

I have loved C. A. King’s The Portal Prophecies series and it’s wonderful to now have the first half of the series collected together in one volume. It provides a great introduction to the series, and a chance to see the story and Willow, the protagonist, develop over a longer stretch of time. Of the three books included in this volume, A Keeper’s Destiny is my favourite and actually is one of my favourite books that I read last year. It introduces the incredibly well-developed fantasy setting (which continues to expand throughout the series with lots of new, well-connected settings to explore) and gets Willow off on her adventure. A Halloween’s Curse and Frost Bitten are particularly suited to be in a volume together as they both have a holiday theme to them. Mostly, this works quite well but there are moments (particularly in Frost Bitten) where it gets a bit ridiculous! Both books work well as a continuation of the story, but I would say they’d be best enjoyed in the autumn and winter when you’re in the holiday mood. Reading in the summer was a bit weird! These are really great books, and it’s very handy having the three combined in one volume (particularly as books 4-6 are going to be released in a single volume as well). For me this definitely deserves 5 stars! It’s an enjoyable Young Adult Fantasy series with a strong female lead and an interesting cast of supporting characters, set in a detailed and awesome world. A Halloween’s Curse also has elements of Urban Fantasy which works quite well. I would definitely recommend this to any fans of YA Fantasy looking for a new series to get sucked into, and think it would be a particularly good collection to read around Halloween and Christmas when the books are set.

King – Review by Francis O’Sullivan
This series is an adrenaline-fueled, fast-paced, thrilling ride from the first page right through till the last word. The book/series contains a shocking, fascinating, dark, and powerful storyline/s that will make you feel like you are sitting on a knifes edge while reading them. What a great introduction to Mr. Miller’s work- three books in one. If you like a fantastic psychological thriller- then this is the book/series for you.
The series contains the following books- THE TWINS: BOOK ONE 4 Stars The Twins is the first book in a series of psychological thrillers, and debut novel by R.G Miller. The story takes us on a journey of innocence lost and cracks open a window onto the minds of two young serial killers. The book opens on two young girls, Jannifer and Stacey McHill- excitedly preparing for their thirteenth birthday with their beloved parents and friends. Their party was the stuff that little girl’s dreams are made of, a perfect, magical day- or so they thought. After preparing for bed that night, two home invaders turn their perfect world upside down- bringing unmentionable horrors into their once idyllic lives. Their parents are bound and tortured for hours, eventually succumbing to the trauma and injury inflicted on them. The twins are also tortured and subjected to unbelievably gruesome violence, but somehow manage to survive the ordeal. In an almost catatonic state they are admitted to a psychiatric hospital under the care of Dr. Susan Patterson, a specialist in Abnormal Psychology. They remain at the hospital, in her care for the next three years- until their maternal Aunt Jackie, ignores the Doctors advice and takes them to Harlem to live with her. On the girls sixteenth birthday, a mutilated body is found on a rooftop in Harlem and the days that follow only bring more deaths- the killings shocking even the most hardened officers of the NYPD. It is up to Detective Iris Williams and her new partner Andrew Taylor, to investigate the murders, hunt the serial killers and try to bring them to justice before they can kill again. But these two young girls are more clever, dangerous and elusive than expected- bringing the hunt to Detective Williams own doorstep. Can Detectives Williams and Taylor find The Twins before they can kill again, or is it too late? Will the Twins escape? This book had an exciting, gripping, dark and thrilling synopsis- I avidly read every word of this intense story. And although I did enjoy the overall story, I felt that the author didn’t build enough suspense or tension in the story. Don’t get me wrong; I was interested and entertained- but with the anticipation and promise of a spine chilling, twisted and heart pounding read- I felt a little let down when it failed to deliver on the potential. The author writes really well and has obviously done a lot of research on anatomy, CSI procedures and police investigative procedures, as well as psychiatric conditions. The scene setting was intricately detailed in some areas, but in others they were skirted over or barely got a mention- which gave some portions of the book a rushed and slightly lurching feel. The author also explores a lot of other topics in the book from PTSD, sexuality, addiction, grief and vengeance; to erotic placidity, anger management and Excited Delirium; just to name a few. There seems to be nothing off limits or too taboo. The author had the potential to take this story into the literary stratosphere- but again, the promise was there, but it just didn’t quite make it. I do congratulate Mr. Miller for an entertaining and intriguing debut novel. I really did enjoy the story- I just wanted more.
STACEY: BOOK TWO 5 Stars Stacey: The Twin is the second book in the trilogy ‘The Twins’ by R.G Miller – it is a gripping psychological thriller that is extremely intense, dark and disturbing. This instalment of the story begins a few weeks after the last book left off- where the citizens of New York were held in the grip of terror, as two of the youngest serial killers the world has ever known, went on a sadistic killing spree across the city- triggering the biggest manhunt in the city’s history. Detective Iris Williams, the lead investigator on the case, had used every resource at her disposal to try and apprehend Jannifer and Stacey McHill. But the two young girls proved to be more dangerous, cunning, and elusive than anticipated- leaving a trail of gruesome murders in their wake. Even their psychologist Dr. Susan Patterson is at a loss as to what the two may do next; advising Detective Williams that “If you have to kill one, kill the other also.” After finally tracking down the pair, Iris and her partner Annette end up in a bloody and nightmarish confrontation with the twins- Iris is forced to shoot Jannifer McHill, which results in her death. Stacey McHill is apprehended and locked up in a facility for the criminally insane. Iris couldn’t bring herself the shoot Stacey as well and hopes that this decision won’t come back to haunt her. Now, there is a new threat prowling the streets of Harlem, in the form of a sadistic rapist and murderer who is targeting middle aged women. Fear begins to grip the city once more and Iris and Annette are assigned the investigation- tasked with solving the case as quickly as possible, before any more lives are lost. As they are in the midst of this investigation, an electrical blackout provides Stacey McHill with the perfect opportunity to escape and so once more she is out in the city somewhere, bristling with anger and hell bent on revenge for her sister’s death. Dt. Williams, Dt. Toni and the rest of their precinct are all targets, and Stacey will do whatever it takes to wreak her vengeance on them all. Iris and Annette now have two psychotic killers loose in the city and must use all their experience, training, skills, grit and determination to track them down and get them off the streets. With the body counts mounting and their investigation being thwarted at every turn by the cunning and resourceful killers, the chase begins to erode Iris and Annette’s confidence and has them on the back foot. Will the detectives be able to solve both cases before more lives are lost? As the lines are blurred between being the hunter and the hunted, this story will fray every one of your nerves and leave you gasping, as you frantically devour the pages to try to discover what will happen next. This book is much darker and more twisted than the first. The storyline and characters seemed to be more developed and we got a lot more information, backstory and details in this book. It is fast paced, and it had me hanging onto my seat as I was thrown headlong into the thrilling story. There were moments where I was in shock and awe at the gruesome details that were depicted- there probably should be a warning at the beginning of the book- because some of the scenes are horrific, truly dark and entirely disturbing. It ends on a cliff-hanger that had my mind reeling as to what would happen in the next book. This book is even better than the first, Mr. Miller has really hit his stride with this instalment.
I. Williams: BOOK THREE 5 Stars I. Williams is the riveting and hair-raising conclusion to The Twins trilogy by R.G Miller. If you haven’t read the other books yet, I recommend that you do before starting this one- as they introduce the main characters and lay down all of the backstory- which will make this reading experience even more enjoyable. Ever since Stacey McHill escaped three months ago, Iris has been on stress leave from her job- her behaviour is erratic, she’s become paranoid, her anger management issues are worsening, she isn’t sleeping properly, has lost her appetite, has little regard for her personal appearance or hygiene, has stopped attending her psychologist appointments, is drinking- and slipping deeper and deeper into a depression. Iris feels guilty and ashamed that Stacey slipped out of her clutches again and it’s almost more than she can bear. She feels like the laughing stock of the whole precinct and the embarrassment is driving her crazy. Her deterioration is affecting her relationship and Annette is really concerned about her what will become of their relationship. You see, Iris though she had killed Stacey, by shooting her twice in the chest. But in her haste to get to Annette who had been injured, Isis made the rookie mistake of not checking to see that Stacey was in fact dead, nor did she hand cuff her. So, Stacey was able get away. That day plays over and over in Isis’ mind and her character was disintegrating under the effects of Stacey McHill’s cunningness. Going back to work Iris and Annette are placed on desk duty, which further undermines Iris’ mental state. All her emotional turmoil was wreaking havoc on her ability to function and do her job properly. But somehow Iris needs to find a way to keep it all together and muster all her strength as a new, sinister and quite baffling case begins. Babies are being snatched from all over the city, in broad daylight, and replaced with incredibly life like dolls. Who is taking the babies and why are they being taken? When Stacey McHill re-emerges and ramps up her terror campaign, Iris will need to keep her wits about her if she has any chance of saving her colleagues and the one’s she loves from the teenage maniac, hell bent on destroying them all. Isis is determined to catch Stacey, even if she has to break all the laws in the book to do so. Can Isis finally put an end to Stacey’s reign of terror, or will Stacey once again prove to be a formidable and elusive opponent? Once again Mr. Miller didn’t disappoint, he has hit this one out of the park. What a way to end a fantastic series. I was completely engrossed in this fast-paced story, I couldn’t put it down- I had to find out what happened, and I was rooting for Iris and Annette to finally win out over Stacey. Mr. Miller pulled the whole series together and wrapped it up really well, with this story. I finally got the closure I was looking for.
This series is such a chilling read, and I loved every moment! I really am looking forward to seeing what Mr. Miller will offer us up next.
Thank you, Mr. Miller, for an intense, riveting and twisted ride.

Angels and Demons (Saint’s Justice MC Book 1) By A.C. Bextor 5 Stars
This is not my first MC book. So, I went into it thinking I was going to like it. Boy was I wrong! A.C Bextor may be a new author for me but it will not be my last! This book was awesome. From the beginning to the end. A.C Bextor kept me engaged and devouring this book!
James “Elevent” Scott is the prez of Saint’s Justice MC. Running low on cash and trying to keep a handle on his men means that Elevent has to do whatever is necessary. Even if it’s the last thing he wants to do. Mia Zander is happy. She is the Church secretary, has the sweetest boyfriend and although every day may be the same as the last she is okay with that. Until life and fate turn everything upside down. Pretty soon Mia is leading a different life, one she never thought could be for her with a man that is nothing she thought she wanted. Can Mia live this kind of life? Can she find the inner person she always wanted to be? And will Elevent be the one that helps her discover this all?
The characters in this book are so rich and complex they almost seem to jump off the page at the reader. A.C. Bextor peppers the book with wit and humor to complement the development of the characters and lighten some of the situations. With the great plot and sub characters, Ms. Bextor makes sure the reader is invested in the entirety of the book. Which makes me excited to see which characters she picks next to continue this fabulous story. I am definitely adding A.C Bextor as an author to watch for.

A Kiss To Build a Dream On (That Voodoo That You Do Book 3 by Jolie St. Amant is a paranormal romance book. It is set in a city of New Orleans where everything from ghosts to voodoo is at your fingertips. It is a very short story that can be read in one sitting and with the way Jolie writes about the place gives you can imagine the rich vibrant feel from the history and enough mysticism to make it a story that comes alive. I loved reading and didn’t want to put down until I had finished the final page. This is one easy read and very enjoyable. Grab a drink and get lost in the story.

Beach Love is the fourth book in the Love Collection by Natalie Ann. I didn’t realise when I got this book that it is the fourth book in the series- but after reading it, you could definitely read it as a standalone. I was intrigued by the secondary characters in this story and have discovered that they have their own story in this series- so I will definitely be going back and one-clicking the other three books to enjoy, as well. This book (and the whole series) is a wonderful contemporary romance, with interesting and endearing characters, and a sweet and captivating storyline. It is a short and easy read, I read it easily in one quick sitting. It was fun- with witty and funny banter, quips and innuendos. The characters had great chemistry which fogged up the screen of my Kindle. I also enjoyed ‘hearing’ the story from both the main characters perspectives, it definitely made things more fun and interesting. Melissa and Connor are great characters, who had an interesting history which added a little spice and drama into their second encounter, as well as the ones that followed. They really were made for each other and it’s funny how that when fate decides to throw two people together, there is very little you can do to fight it. I won’t go into too much detail as a lot of what I could tell you could spoil the story for you. I really recommend diving into this story blind and let the characters and author take you on a fun ride. The blurb does a great job of telling you what to expect, without spoiling the fun. I will definitely be reading the other three books and I look forward to reading ‘Intense Love (Book #5) when it releases on August 1st, 2018.

The Blue Heart Mission is the captivating third instalment in The Kiko Ochisan Adventure series by Lina Vine. This series just seems to get better and better with each new book. It is a quick and easy fast paced thrilling adventure- with drama, action, political intrigue, and some mystery – the story, and series as a whole, is very detailed and descriptive, transporting the reader into the story. I really liked the first two books, but I think this has become my firm favourite of the series, so far. We met Kiko Ochisan in the first book, ‘In the Land of the Crane’, where she was a former Secret Agent for Japan. A lot has happened over the course of the previous two books and now, in this book, Kiko is pitted against the might of the KGB, and the powerful Black Hats- which will once again push and test Kiko in so many ways. What happens you may ask? Well, you really should get yourself a copy and find out all the gripping, action-packed details for yourself- you are sure to love Kiko and her adventure/s as much as I have! Even though this is the third book in a series, you could read it as a standalone. But I really recommend reading the entire series in the correct sequence, to get the full Kiko experience and see how this character has developed over the course of the series. I feel that this would help make your reading experience of this book so much more enjoyable. As with the first two books, this is a novella sized story which has a lot going on in a small space- but it never felt rushed or cut short in any way. A wonderful addition to the series, and I am really looking forward to seeing what Kiko does next in Death on the Flower Island, releasing in the Fall of 2018!

The Agreement is the fourth book in the Marcy Series by Linda Burson. The series has a continuing storyline, so it would not be advisable to read this story without first reading the other three books. The more this story/series continues to evolve, the more in awe I am at just how well thought out, and superbly written, this entire series/storyline really is. Ms. Burson once again has infused her story with just the right amount of suspense, drama, dilemmas, emotion, humour, and believability to really keep things interesting. We once again witness these wonderfully complex and likeable characters traversing some of the complications that occur in relationships, their interactions are realistic and relatable- but Ms. Burson also throws in a few surprises that had me on the edge of my seat to find out how things would play out. The characters have really come a long way since we met them in book one, and I have enjoyed watching them develop and grow over the course of the series so far. But just because Marcy and Brad are now married, had their honeymoon, and welcomed their baby into the world- doesn’t mean things will be smooth sailing from here on out. This story sees their relationship tested, and choices will need to be made. A new friendship is formed, which also brings unexpected developments and changes. As with all her books that I have read, Ms. Burson really writes incredibly well, pulling you into the story and keeping you hooked right through to the end. And again, I really lost myself in this fabulous story (in a good way). For me, that is the sign of a skilled writer. I have really enjoyed this series so far, each book slightly eclipsing the previous instalment. As I have come to expect from Ms. Burson, this story has a great pace and is easy to read, it evolves beautifully and unexpectedly the further into the story/series I go. I can’t wait to discover what she has planned for Marcy, Brad and the overall storyline… Bring on the next book!

Rock Bottom: Satan’s Devils MC #7 by Manda Mellett is one hell of a story. If ever I was in trouble I would want these men and women behind me. The Devil’s, play hard, love fast, protect the family blood or not. I was drawn into this story and was unable to stop reading it. Page after page of trouble and drama, love and hate, sorrow and heartache, friendship and horrors will leave you sitting on the edge and worrying. I have not ready and other books by Manda and because this one was such a hit with me I now need to go back to the beginning and learn more about these wonderful characters and the world in which they live.
This is a suspense romance story that should not be missed.

The Agreement (Marcy series book 4) by Linda Burson is the fourth book in the series and should be read in order because you get the back story on the characters and they flow from one to the next. Sometimes I was frustrated and loved the characters and sometimes I really really wanted to shake them. This is a bit of an emotional ride and is full of unexpected twists and turns. As usual Linda does a great job of making the story flow and easy to read. To find out if Marcy & Brad have a HEA you will have to read the books.

Angels and Demons (Saint’s Justice MC #1) by A.C. Bextor
5 out of 5 stars Angels and Demons is the first book in the Saint’s Justice MC Series written by A.C Bextor. I have read a few books written by this author and she always blows my mind with her writing the way she tells a story can actually imagine your self- there. Ms. Bexter like to through you with a curve ball in which she left us with a big cliffhanger so right now I don’t like Ms. Bextor (please hurry up with the second installment of this series)….. LOL. There is lots of drama, sex, action, and complications with a few twist. We get to see/hear about a few characters from other stories which I loved. James “Elevent” Scott is handling a crew of restless men while running low on cash and has but little choice left. So now he is forced to make a deal with the devil. When Elevent accepts the Russian’s offer to protect one of their own; he has no idea what’s to come. And he’s never been taken so off guard when he meets Mia Zanders and he is paid to protect her. Mia Zanders leads a modest and content life. Church secretary by day, sweetheart to the boy-next-door by night, her monotonous existence may be boring, but it’s safe. However, fate finds a way of shaking up everything she thought she knew. She soon finds herself inside a rough-and-tumble biker club. The men are vile. The women are catty. Yet, somehow this crew of bold and plenty help her to see what she never could before. The person she was meant to become the strong woman she was meant to be especially when it got her in trouble and I liked how she pushed Elevent back when he was being over the top ridiculous. I loved this couple and can’t wait to see what happens to them. By Tracy

Angels and Demons is Book 1 in the Saint’s Justice MC series from author A.C Bextor. This is my second read from this author and I can’t wait to see what else she brings to this series and other books from her.
This book completely captivated me from start till finish. I was totally hooked to the storyline and the characters Mia & Elevent. With MC books becoming a firm favourite of mine this one most definitely didn’t disappoint in fact this was even better than I expected. This book has danger, action, adventure, romance, passion in all things, left you on the edge of seat wondering what could possibly happen next but then also left you craving more. This book has many things that make it stand out but one of them I think are the characters. Mia who u must admit is annoying at times brings something to this book you don’t often typically find, a girl on the outside who is reserved and kind of shy slowly fit into and feel comfortable in the world of MC’s but also feel confident enough to say her piece especially when it involves her. But I think it’s the entire demeanour of Elevent and a few helpful others that help it be a smoother transition. Her and Elevent’s back and forth bantering just shows how much chemistry they have with each other, she has a metal and physical impact on Elevent and he makes her feel things she didn’t know existed but there is just something great and perfect about these two, but can they get their HEA?
Not only do the main characters impact this story but so do some secondary characters who I would love to learn more about their stories and how they come to be a member of the Saint’s Justice.
This is a thrilling, captivating and action-packed read that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what happens with the rest of the series, but until then don’t miss this read!

A Kiss to Build a Dream On is the third book in the Chateau Rouge series by Jolie St. Amant. It is a captivating paranormal romance set in New Orleans. And again, as with the other books in this series, Ms. St. Amant’s vivid imagery and rich, descriptive details really brought all the sights and sounds of this colourful and historic city to life, right before my eyes. This series is fast becoming a favourite of mine, and even though the books are short novella sized stories, they pack a lot in a short amount of space and feel like a much longer novel. Technically you could read this book as a standalone, but each instalment in the series is like a piece to a much bigger picture, all intricately woven along the same time-frame as the other books in the series. So, having said that, I really recommend reading ‘Dream A Little Dream of Me’ (Book #1) and ‘Hard Hearted Hannah’ (Book #2) to fully appreciate the rich tapestry that the author is creating. Each new book adding more ‘strokes’ and ‘layers’ to the overall picture. In this book we meet Chloe Deveraux who accepts a new job interstate and leaves her unhappy marriage, husband, home, and life behind- to start fresh in New Orleans, a city she’s long held a fascination for. Her new job is at the Chateau Rouge- where she’s the new P.R manager and Chloe will be staying at the hotel while she settles into the job and city. She is so excited about exploring the city, wanting to experience everything the New Orleans has to offer. Her new beginning really kicks off when she has a drink spilt on her in the bar on her first night in town. Jared Peterson is an IT and computer guru with his own software firm. He’s in town on business, which happens to be at the Chateau Rouge, where he is also staying. When he accidentally spills a drink on a gorgeous woman at the hotel bar he is surprised to recognise his high school crush. Chloe hasn’t changed in the years since he saw her last, but she doesn’t immediately recognise him. He’s been crazy about her in high school and he’s determined not to waste this opportunity to reacquaint himself with her, and hopefully it will develop into more. But Chloe is ready for a fresh start and to enjoy her freedom- not get tied down a man again. But as they spend time together, Chloe can’t help but feel drawn to Jared. Will she lower her guard and let him in, or will she allow her fears to prevent her taking a chance on love? This is a great addition to the series and I love how each book reveals a little more about New Orleans, and the history of the recurring characters and Chateau Rouge. Everything is so intricately connected. Small details that all blend together to produce the larger picture. I loved that with this story we got a bit more of Alcide’s story- he’s such a mysterious character, I loved uncovering those details about him. A story rich in history- with wonderful characters, an intriguing storyline, suspense, drama, mystery, tension, new beginnings, the paranormal, and a touch of Fate….. makes this a sweet and memorable read! I wonder who we get to meet in the next book?

I enjoyed this book tremendously. It was well written and the story flowed smoothly. I fell in love with the characters. They were full of different personalities yet they accepted each other even with their faults. It wasn’t just a brotherhood in the Saint’s bunker, they were a family. What I loved about Mia Zanders is the fact that even though she’s a good girl, she wasn’t too innocent. She was strong and able to hold her own within the club. Though she started out as a job for them, she quickly became the glue that held them together.
There was lots of great sex, some action and drama plus a bit of craziness. There were even some sad moments. There was something constantly happening to keep you interested until the end. The book ends on a cliffhanger so now I’m anxiously waiting on the next chapter in the series.

Covert Identities by Amabel Daniels is another brilliant mystery story involving the Newland siblings and I have been waiting for it for a long time! Ms Daniels is an amazing writer and I have been reading every single one of the Newland sibling stories and every single one seems to be better and better! Covert Identities is the story of Amy Perry and Sean Newland and oh boy, do they have a history … well, one could probably call them arch enemies … and of course, the history never stays buried … only, now when they are grown, it takes a different shade and the chemistry and the sparkles and the bickering and bantering and … simply, the whole shebang! If you love mysteries AND you love romance then this is definitely a book you need to pick up! And I promise, you will want to read the other Newland sibling books as well!

Why Not Me? is my first book by Ashley Erin. The blurb is what got me to read this book but it was the writing that kept me turning the pages. This was an enjoyable sweet book, far warning if you have a problem with cheating in a book – this might not be the book for you.
Why Not Me? will have you questioning past and present relationships. Wondering if a person from the past came back into your life would it change your present relationship? Allie is caught between two men and has a big decision to make; stay in a friend/roommate relationship or try again with a man that you have amazing chemistry with. I will say that I didn’t see that twist at the ending coming, that could have ruin Allie forever.
