Becky and Glenn’s story is one that will have you feeling every emotion you can feel. It deals with loss, addiction, recover, heartbreak, family feud and maybe a few I missed. They both have some issues to overcome. Glen’s is a little larger. Watching them try to overcome was hard at times and at other times brought happy tears. All the Bennetts made an appearance in the book. They made the relationship a bit of challenge for them. This a beautiful story of redemption. Two souls broughr together through fire and hurt. Can they make this work for all time. You must read this story. You must read this series! It’s beautiful. It’s well-written. You won’t be sorry. Now, I’ll eagerly await Jame’s story.

This book is really well written. It is the 8th book in the series and I decided this was the one I was going to start with. You can just start like I did or you can read the whole series. I would highly suggest reading the whole series. I am personally going to go back and read them. I feel like I wouldn’t have been as lost as I was and would have a lot more background information with the characters in this story. However, I was able to pick up on things rather quickly and my lack of knowledge didn’t hinder this books plot at all. The way the main characters grow throughout the story and the steam that they give off is amazing. It is a quick read as I couldn’t put it down. This book has everything from steam, too romance, too crazy vampires. I was highly entertained and found myself a little disappointed when the book ended. I then remembered that I get to read the other 7 books in the series. That made me happy. If you are one that like vampires and steam and mystery, this series seems to have all of that and more. You won’t be disappointed when you pick this book up to read it. Again, I would probably read the first books in the series because I feel like I would have enjoyed the book more had I had more information but it didn’t deter from the story.

This is a really neat book that goes over tips for owning a dog and being safe. I really liked how the author had it set up in rhyming and very easy to ready. My grandson is autistic and this will be easy to read to him with the way it’s set up when we get a dog for him. We will be teaching him dog safety and care. This is a book that sets it out as an introductory for children to ask questions. The pictures are bright and colorful. It’s a wonderful book.

Hannah Patel is living life in the shadows after he brother died, he was he rock and soul mate and now with him gone she is existing, until she discovers she has a stalker. At first it was notes and gifts but over the past few month’s it has become threatening and scary after the last note.
While in court defending her client she is assaulted by said client and is whisked into the judges chamber where she meets Lexi Danvers, a court investigator who happens to spot one of the stalkers letters. Lexi then says she will ask one of her colleagues to investigate of the books and help Hannah get to the bottom of who the stalker might be.
Detective Doyle Murphy has been asked for a favour while he is on leave from the special victim’s unit, but when he meets Hannah he is drawn in and is determined to protect her and find the culprit who is now steadily escalating there actions towards her, but when her dog walker if found dead in her house it becomes serious and needs putting a stop to.
This like the other books is a fast paced brilliantly written thriller, with well developed characters and a great storyline. There are some crossover with characters from previous books but that is more to do with friendships and relationships than the story itself, so this can be read as a stand alone book. Although I would highly recommend reading the other stories.
The character of Hannah like all of the authors main female characters is a strong, determined woman who want s to fight and survive rather than shy away and become a weak, shaking female like many stories portray and although Doyle’s character is a dominate Alpha male the author shows his more venerable side with his metal health and inner demons.
This story like the other is thrilling and draws you into the fast paced writing, and had me guessing for most of the book regarding the bad person. I hope you carry on with this series and can’t wait to read more in the future.

4.5 stars Lottery of Secrets is fast paced dark tale full of deceit, betrayal, violence, drama, dark lies and secrets and so much more. It is as intriguing as it is intense, and the tension and suspense is palpable and have you questioning everything. Nadija has done a good job of bringing together carefully woven threads that makes this a heart pounding psychological thriller. She cleverly guides the reader through a barrage of twists and turns that keep you on the edge right to the end as you try to work out what is going on. Lynn is supposed to be living the dream but instead she is struggling and living a nightmare and no longer knows who to trust. She finds herself ensnared in a game of cat and mouse. She no longer knows what is real and what is not. Her a’hole of a Husband thinks he’s going to get her money. A stalker is obsessed with her, and she is fighting for her life in more than one way. I wasn’t sure about the characters in the beginning. I wanted to shake some sense into the woman, and I wanted to snot the Husband, but I guess that is a sign of good writing to bring out so much emotion in the reader and the intrigue was enough to keep me glued to the pages. OMG by the time I got to the end; well, what can I say! Fear, jealousy, paranoia, angst, anguish are just some of the things the author throws our way whilst following Lynn on her dark and twist path. There are some sensitive topics in this story, but it comes together nicely. I am now eagerly awaiting the next book. Bring it on!

This is a fantastic children’s book explaining the importance of dog safety and it does it in such a way that children will be able to easily understand it. We follow Lora and CJ and their doggie companions, Porter and Midge throughout the story as we learn about dog safety through various scenarios. The story is well done and the illustrations that accompany it follow along with the story fantastically. I love the sing-songy rhymes of the story because children are able to follow along so much better. This is definitely a story you will want to read your littles if they are going to be around any type of animal, but especially dogs.

The Christmas Escape by Belinda Williams is a contemporary romance story. Belinda has written a story that is fun and interesting. It is a quick read and before you know it the story is over. I have read a few of Belinda’s books and really liked them and this one is no different. This fun rom com is full of sassiness, fun, humour, a speck of naughtiness, a little angst, a bit of drama and a lot of passion and flying sparks. It is entertaining and well written, and the characters are really well developed, endearing, and fun and you cannot help but like. I am an Aussie so it stands to reason that I would enjoy it. I loved their wit, banter, chemistry, and the perfect amount of push pull as they learn more about each other. I often found myself laughing at their antics or situations they found themselves in. There is something magical about a tale that is set at Christmas time. It’s a great book to escape from the drudgery of normal life for a while with a glass of wine. I look forward to what comes next.

Detective Alexandra Danvers is a mess, she is just trying to survive each day, but when she is dropped into a murder of a young boy her thoughts are directed to her past and that is not a nice place to be.
Detective Xavier Knight has a job to do, not only is his assigned to Detective Danvers to assess her capacity to do her job but his also has a murder to solve, but as he investigates the murder further he starts to see the cracks appear within Danvers, but when a suspect from her past comes into the light can he save her from herself and his heart and his career in the processes
This is the second book in this series, and it does not disappoint, the characters are rich and well developed, which when you read believe you are part of the story and want to get to know them more.
As you read you understand why Lex is so damaged with life and her heart, with constant reminders everyday of the struggle she is at breaking point. As the book progresses you get to see the grit and determination that Lexi is not going to give in and that she is a survivor and will not let the darkness in. Xavier’s character although shifty at the beginning, I enjoyed discovering the overall admiration he had for Lexi in the end and that he sacrificed his career to help her.
I do have to say there are some triggers in this story regarding, abuse, suicide and dark depression but although these subject matters are hard to read sometimes, this author respects these subject matters with her writing, and you become invested in there stories. I can’t wait to read the next boo in this series.

I like that Porter and Midge: Paws for Safety A Kid’s Guide to Safe Dog is and educational book teaching kids how to be safe around dogs. It is a fun, quick read for not only kids but adults too. The story is told in a captivating rhyming rhythm which I found helps kids remember things easier. This lovely children’s book is full of bright and colourful illustrations. It is not just a story, but it is a learning tool that teaches young ones on how to act and react when around four pawed furry friends. It highlights boundaries for both humans and animals that should be adhered to. It is a great gift for birthdays or Christmas and should be a household, school and library staple.

Beware: This novel tackles sensitive subjects, such as sexual abuse and self-harm. Wow. Unclutter: A Survivor’s Story is a YA novel and is a raw and compelling must-read. It is a complex tale that explores the difficult subject of abuse. Winnie has cleverly woven multi layered threads together giving us a compelling read. She boldly tackles hard and traumatic themes and does so with dignity. This is a story of betrayal in one of its harshest forms. It is a story of survival but what is the cost to get there. It is a story of one young woman who must look at herself and learn to love herself once again. Tina is vulnerable and broken, in pain and has lost a part of herself but she is strong and resilient even if she doesn’t feel like it at the start. This feisty young woman is a SURVIVOR! With help she fights back and slowly reclaims herself even if it is a new self. This is a powerful YA novel, and I recommend that women of any age read it. It shows just how unfair the legal system, the world, harsh truths and perceptions women face in the event of abuse and their attackers. Some want to shove their heads in the sand and others want to shout it from the roof tops but either way there are injustices in the world.

Finding the attraction that has always been there even when he was a small boy in her parent’s house, can see fall for him or will it potentially put her career in jeopardy.
When Kaylee arrested him, it took him back to his childhood seeing her beauty and the attraction that is still there, but she is a police office, and he is hiding a secret that if she finds out may destroy the bond they have created.
When Jayson disappears Kaylee’s world is destroyed can she forgive him or go through life wondering “what if’s”?
This is the second series I have read by this author, and it does not disappoint, the characters are rich and well developed, which when you read believe you are part of the story and want to get to know them more.
Kaylee is a great role model and strong female character within the story but she also shows the vulnerable side to her which is brilliantly to read. Jayson’s Character is a great compliment to the strong character of Kaylee, with the secondary characters adding a depth to the story which was just brilliant to read.
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Shadow Bringer is a paranormal fantasy tale. It is another great start to another wonderful series. This has to be one of the best if not the best stories I have read this year. Brandi is of my favourite authors, so I jumped around in glee when I saw this book was out. The interesting premise makes it an exciting and easy read. I love the paranormal fantasy world Brandi has created and am drawn to the struggles and triumphs of these wonderful characters. There is a cast of interesting characters that are quirky, well-written and well developed and feel real you are in for a treat. I love the humour that made me laugh out loud and the mystery of not knowing what is coming next. Brandi has given us supernatural creatures, vampires, witches, shapeshifters and shadow bringers all the things that go bump in the night and keep the pages turning. She is a gifted storyteller and I love that her tales are original. She intricately weaves a vividly detailed world that brings the whole story to life. It is addictive, riveting, action-packed and full of intrigue, drama, magic, suspense and much, much more. One young woman is about to find out exactly who she really is and find out what lurks in the shadows. I am not going to spill the beans so you will have to read this amazing tale all by yourself to find out what happens. I cannot wait until the next book comes out.

Dang, this story will rip your emotions apart. Yes, it’s anMC but they are human. Two people that have made some questionable choices and got dealt scrappy handin life. Most can relate to this. Watches two work through it is painful and heartwarming at the same time. They both have support from the group. Tough choices are made. It’s such a well-developed and thought out story. The author has a fantastic narration team. They are a large reason I love to hear her stories on audio. This is a outstanding audio all around.

5 Stars Fractured Hearts-Prospect (Grimm Wolves MC Book 7) by D.M. Earl
Fractured Hearts- Prospect is the seventh book in the Grimm Wolves MC is a wonderfully written MC/Romance Suspense that I absolutely loved reading. This series just keeps getting better and better with each new book. Im a huge fan of this author and my favorite genre is MC and this one checked all the boxes, it’s a bit dark and intense at times but at other times a much lighter feel. Sometimes we don’t know what/who we need till they’re right in front of us. This is a story about second chances and forgiveness. The characters are simply amazing and are developed, yet have a raw intensity at times. I was so invested in the characters and story I literally read this in one afternoon. I had to know what was going to happen next. I highly recommend reading this book to find out what happens next. I also highly recommend reading the previous books if you haven’t already started them. This series is one that is worth the read. I’m looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Marlyn Love’s book Beyond Friendship had me in tears throughout the entire book. There were times that I wondered if Brian was ever going to catch a break. The poor guy had been dealt a hard hand to deal with not only from losing his father but then to be dealing with a lifelong illness that he was not willing to share the burden of with even his closest friends. Only his mom knew what he was living with, the same disease that had taken his father from them. Brian lived his life as a playboy with no strings attached, which was how he liked it, no chance of getting hurt or of allowing anyone to get hurt by losing him. Until he met Amanda, the goddess of his dreams, and his best friend Nick’s little sister. No matter how much Brian tried to move past his feelings for Amanda, he just couldn’t get over the fact that they had a strong pull of desire and attraction between them. Can Brian keep Amanda in the friend zone, and keep his illness a secret from his closest friends, or will fate have a different plan in store for him?
This book was so informative as well as so realistic, there were times when I would get so frustrated with the characters for the choices they were making, and other times when I wanted to jump for joy that they were finally being true to themselves and their feelings. All in all, I was invested in this book wholeheartedly, to the point that it literally had me in tears as I was reading, wiping my eyes just to see the words in front of me. This is such an inspiring love story, that left me feeling as if I’d just finished running a marathon right alongside the characters. This book has it all, you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a good read with a happily ever after. @Brandy Rymer 10/2023

This is the first novel I have read by Elsa Winckler and I loved it. Always fantastic to add another author to my list. Merry Christmas, Montana is a very heartwarming love story between Mitch and Riley and let’s not forget her adorable 4 year old son Dylan. I have not read the first 2 books in the series but I will be definitely looking them up to enjoy more of aunt Janice’s matchmaking ❤️ and read the love stories behind the other characters within this book.

This story is an absolute rollercoaster of a romance in the best and softest of ways. It includes many of the tropes that we all know and love when looking for more contemporary romance books: best friend’s little sister? Check. A too hot man with a heavy secret holding him back? Check. A sweet girl just pursuing her dreams? Check. A successful man with a bachelor reputation? Check. An amazing slow burn romance? Check. This is the story of Amanda Brown and Brian Fox, as they navigate their relationship through the years as it blooms and withers as they try and fight their attraction for each other. I definitely recommend taking the time to read this, I know I thoroughly enjoyed it!!!

A wonderful tale full of adventure, intrigue, magic, and fantasy. This is truly a pirate tale to tell. From the first page, the first sentence, I was hooked. From the first few words, to the tragic death of Camden’s mother, I couldn’t put this book down. Camden fights against all odds and when push comes to shove, he shoves right back till he can move on his own. He is determined to move his life forward, even if it means facing the demons of his past. I absolutely highly suggest taking the time to read this, as I know I will now be on the lookout for any more of Brittany Tucker’s works.

Another mystery/thriller installment of the Logan McKenna Series. I really enjoyed the way the story kept moving between a time when men were rum running off the coast of central Oregon. And to present day where a young woman is found dead in her family owned hotel. Finding out some family secrets along the way, the book kept my attention. The author as always does a great job of character and world building so well, you feel like you’ve been there. I have enjoyed all of the Logan McKenna Series that I’ve read so far and this one is just as good. I highly recommend this series to anyone that enjoyed a great mystery/ thriller.

The adventure continues! After reading the first book and enjoying it, I wanted to see where this next mystery takes us. Mia’s friend is celebrating her Quinceanera but as planning festivities are occurring so is murder! Mia and Gumshoe are on a mission again to try to solve why bodies keep adding up before it ruins her friend’s special birthday celebration. Witchcraft, mystery and cats all rolled into one. Again great mystery story and coming of age tale!

Beyond Friendship is a very cute read that I felt kept me engaged throughout the entire book. The. characters were well developed and relatable to people we all know! While part of a series this could also be read by itself. Make sure to have Kleenex handy!

Beyond Friendship is a friends-to-lovers story about Brian and Amanda. Amanda is a clothing store owner who just moved back to her hometown. Her brother is best friends with Brian who ends up being a club owner. Brian is a ladies’ man and refuses to settle down due to a secret he holds. Brian sees Amanda at a bar one night and decides she is his next conquest, but upon approaching her, his best friend Nick comes to see his sister and the thought of her taking her home dies. However, both felt this amazing connection in just those short moments. Because he doesn’t “date” they remain friends. Over a handful of years, they remain friends and sexually keep their distance although Amanda doesn’t want that and tells him so. Brian eventually gives in and realizes he just can’t live without her. Both have never felt this way about someone else before. However, while both are extremely happy, the secret that he has becomes evident and he starts to let his insecurities take over his relationship and decisions for his future. Will Brian be able to get over himself long enough to see what is standing right in front of him? I enjoyed this love story. There were ups and downs and moments where I hated Brian, but completely understood him. Brian turns into a loving, doting partner who can’t get out of his own way until things can’t get any worse. On the other hand, Amanda was an amazing character. She was portrayed as a lovely woman, ambitious, loving, honest, comforting, and understanding. As a woman, she handled herself very well through this story. Emotionally, there were also a lot of ups and downs so kept you on your toes and interested in the story.

Right before Christmas, Lizzie loses her job and her roommate announces she is moving out. When her best friend breaks up with her boyfriend, leaving a ticket to Australia, Lizzie jumps at the chance to go alone. There, she meets the most gorgeous guy but is not looking for anything serious. Opinion This novella flew by too quickly. I really enjoyed getting “to know” the characters and am hoping that the way it ended will result in a sequel. This is the first book I’ve read by Williams and I was not disappointed. It was charming and sweet, perfect for a winter novel.

I fell in love with all three of the guys in just this book. I hadn’t had the pleasure of meeting them before now but they all left quite an impression on me. Of course Brian’s was the biggest since it’s his story.
My emotions were all over the place while reading and may have gotten some weird looks from the family as I sat here crying during certain parts.
Amanda was exactly what Brian needed when she came into his life. The chemistry was off the charts from the moment they laid eyes on one another and resisted due to Nick warning him off and Brian not being interested in more than one night.
I need to go back and read Nick and Cole’s stories and I hope there will be another, don’t think this group is done telling their stories yet.

Beyond Friendship (The Irresistible Series #3) by Marilyn Love. I loved this contemporary romance. Its the story of Brian who owns a nightclub called Six-Pack and is determined to never have feelings for any woman. He’s a confirmed bachelor and has a huge secret to keep so he will never let himself fall in love. When he meets Amanda he thinks he can just treat her as every other woman but he finds out she is his best friends sister. That makes her off limits. Amanda is a very successful business woman and is very attracted to Brian until her friend tells her he’s a one night stand pro. Amanda is highly attracted to him and she can’t quit thinking of him. As they become friends they both want more but are both afraid. Will Brian be able to have a relationship with Amanda even though he doesn’t want anyone to find out about his secret? Will Amanda trust her heart and give Brian a chance or will she be to leary! A great contemporary romance!
